Skylar's POV

Fuck my life.

This stupid bottle stopped in my direction at least five times. Every time I chose "truth" because I didn't want to know what dares they could give me. Their questions were quite bearable though, I think they knew that I was new to all of this and I don't know them that well to talk about stuff like that in front of them.

But of course, Chloe had to ask how many guys I slept with and I replied sharply that I didn't keep a journal and it was not her goddamn business. She started laughing hysterically and saying that I'm probably still a virgin. I had enough. I couldn't stand this bitch anymore. I excused myself saying that I needed to go to the bathroom.

"Are you okay?" Laura put her hand on my shoulder when I was about to get up. She looked at me with a concerned look written on her face.

"Yeah everything is fine. I just need to pee. I'll be right back."

I got up from the couch and started walking towards the stairs. Some guy grabbed my hand on my way to the bathroom and asked me if I wanted to have 'some fun' with him.

Asshole

I pushed him away from me and went quickly upstairs. Luckily, I found an empty room and guess what was inside. A balcony!

I swiftly rushed towards it and went outside. I leaned against the railing, closing my eyes. A deep breath left my mouth. Finally. Just me and no one else. Sometimes when I'm around people for too long, I feel like I suffocate and have to take a break from them. I closed my eyes again and was listening to the sound of the night. Cars somewhere in the distance, crickets were having a concert in the grass and I could feel a pleasant breeze on my skin.

There are moments in my life, when even if I'm surrounded by people, I feel lonely. Everyone is telling me not to take life too seriously, and have some fun and all that stuff, but the truth is that I feel most alone when I go out. I'm with people but it feels like there's no one there. No one really understands me, no one gets me.

God...I'm so messed up.

"You really like nights, don't you?"

A very masculine, yet soft voice was heard behind me. I turned around instantly and almost gasped. It was him. The guy who was watching me at the party a few days ago.

"I see you being on a balcony alone again, while everyone is downstairs laughing and having the time of their lives."

Jesus, I could listen to his voice forever. It was low, a bit raspy, and held something dark in it. But wait. Again? Whay does he mean again?

"W-what do you mean again?" I stattered a little. There is something about him that I can't compose myself when he is around.

He was staring in my eyes like he wanted to see through my soul. "I saw you at the party last week. You were standing on the balcony and looking at the sky."

Why did guy like him want to look at someone like me? Why even bother?

He was standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. His biceps visible to my eyes. He was wearing, again, black trousers and black t-shirt. His hair was messy, each strand in a different direction. But that was something which made him look even more hotter. His lips were full and I was wondering how they would feel against my own...

"Are you done checking me out?" His voice brought me back from my thoughts.

"I...I wasn't..." Jesus, I'm sure he could see all shades of red on my face.

I lowered my head and stared at the floor. I heard his chuckle and a little movement as if he was approaching me. I swear I could hear my heart beating in my chest. After a moment, I saw his shoes in front of mine. He was standing too close that I could feel his cologne. He smelt so damn good.
