Skylar's POV

One month later

Everything has been great so far. Ace and I had a couple of fights but they weren't serious and I think it's normal to have an argument in a relationship or with your friend once in a while. I had a few bad days (most of them because of Chloe and her comments) but Ace was with me. We spent Christmas with my family. Ace bought everyone very expensive presents, including me, and that was one reason why we fought.

I don't want him to buy me pricey things because I don't care about his money. I'm used to my life and I don't need some fancy clothes or jewellery to feel exceptional. When it comes to Ace's mum, he still doesn't talk to her. The only conversation they make with each other is about Andy and when Ace can pick him up. I have to work on him, I guess.

Marco invited us for dinner today and Laura was there as well. They were laughing all the time and he even made her blush a bit! I thought it was impossible. It was good to see her happy and relaxed since she broke up with Alex. When we left, Laura said that she would stay a little longer so I don't want to know what they are doing right now. We were now lying together in Ace's bed, talking and cuddling.

"Do you think that Marco wants something serious with Laura or is it just some fun?" I asked.

My head was lying on Ace's chest while he was running his fingers up and down my arm.

"He's had a crush on her since...I don't even remember but she was with Jacob so he couldn't do anything about it."

"I just don't want him to hurt her." I muttered.

Seeing people hurt isn't nice, especially if those are really close people to you. She is like a sister to me and I'd do everything to protect her.

Ace kissed my forehead and pulled me closer to him.

"Don't worry, he's a good guy."

I nodded my head and nuzzled up to him.

"You know...you looked really hot today." His voice became a little lower and I gulped.

I was wearing black, leather trousers and red blouse with thin straps. I noticed him glancing at me from time to time but I didn't know it had something to do with the way I was dressed.

"I couldn't take my eyes off of you."

He ran his fingers down my neck and then a little lower until it reached my cleavage. I pushed his hand away playfully.

"We'll see if you can't take yours eyes off of me when I get dressed in a rubbish bag." I laughed.

He put his hand on my cheek and looked me in my eyes.

"I would still look at you and only you, I assure you." There was a seriousness in his voice. "I love you."

Yeah, about that...

I still haven't told him that. I just couldn't! I could tell that it was hard for him and he was becoming a little impatient because he still doesn't know how I feal about him.

"I know" I whispered.

Ace sighed and lowered his head a bit, closing his eyes. He suddenly got up from bed and came up to a chair to grab his jacket. I sat up straight on the bed furrowing my eyebrows.

"Where are you going?"

"I...I need to go to the company." He said, not looking in my direction.

"What? Now?"

He still didn't look at me and left the room. I got up from the bed and ran after him.

"Ace, what's wrong?"
