Chapter Twenty Seven

Rosalie's POV -

We had been driving for a while now, Nate and I making small talk. The weather was absolutely beautiful for an outing like this. The sun was gleaming and shining, with barely-there clouds.

"How many times have you been to six flags?" I asked Nate once we stopped at a red light.

"I used to go every weekend but I haven't been in around five months." He answered.

Five months? That's when Nate and I met...

"Five months?" I asked him.

He smirked and rolled his eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself, I didn't stop going because of you."

I felt my face heat up as I averted my eyes from his and instead looked out the window.

"That's not what I meant." I murmured.

He let out a smug laugh, bringing his hand towards me and squeezing my thigh affectionately.

"You're so cute, Rose." He laughed, making me blush even more.

We stayed silent for a while, just enjoying each others company. I saw the sign from a distance of six flags and I felt myself to grin.

"So after coming here all the time, you aren't tired of it yet?" I asked.

Nate shook his head and turned the indicator to make a right.

"Not really, I find that amusement parks can never get boring. The adrenaline is too good. I'm an adrenaline junkie." He grinned childishly.

"And we always yearned to come here as well. We weren't really well off at the time of when I was young, so when we did have the money, we decided to go every week."

They weren't well off? Nate didn't strike me as ever not being well off, it kind of shocked me.

"So, um, how did you become wealthy?" I asked awkwardly.

Now that I thought of it, Nate's family was rich but they didn't really act like it. Well, their house and furnishings and whatnot clearly exemplified the Sanders being rich, but in their character they weren't.

Not that that was a bad thing. From the way they acted playfully and completely un-posh, it actually did make sense that they weren't always wealthy.

"Well, my dad had a small company. It wasn't really doing anything well, though. He had so many great ideas but didn't have the money to do anything good."

I nodded along and gestured for Nate to continue.

"And then," he said slowly, a small smirk making its way onto his lips, "we won the lottery."

I turned my neck so quick, I thought I heard a crack. They won the lottery? As in, the lottery?

"What?" I exclaimed in shock.

Nate chuckled at my expression and rolled his eyes.

"We didn't win the major prize. Just fifty thousand dollars."

I scoffed at that, of course Nate would think that fifty thousand dollars wasn't much.

"So how did you get to where you guys are from fifty thousand?" I asked curiously.

"Well, my dad was able to use that one great idea. And that idea earned him more then he could imagine. So, my dad did earn his wealth from his job, he just needed a little kick start." He shrugged.

That made sense. Nate's parents were once just those average joes which was why, even when they did become wealthy, they hadn't changed.

That realization made me admire them even more. I already knew that Nate's parents were awesome. They were caring and kind, and genuinely wanted me to be happy. And on top of that, to know that they had perhaps been in the same boat as I was once was just... A relief.

A relief to know that I wasn't the only one that had suffered before. Because even though I would always tell myself that there were others out there struggling more than I, I never actually saw it with my own eyes.

I smiled absentmindedly and turned to Nate.

"How come you never told me that before?" I asked him.

"Rose, you've made it perfectly clear to me that I'm an asshole. And you are asking me as to why I never bragged about my family winning the lottery and becoming rich?" He asked amusedly.

Oh... I never thought of it like that.

"You wouldn't have to have bragged. But I'd like to know about your family. And you. You never seem to actually tell me stuff about you." I frowned.

He shrugged and made a left.

"You're more interesting to talk about."

And that was enough to send my heart into overdrive as my cheeks flushed red.

Nate turned his head, a knowing smirk on his face as he took in my appearance.

"Did I make you blush?" He asked teasingly.

I let out a muffled laugh and rolled my eyes.

"Just keep on driving." I muttered.

He chuckled even louder and I smiled at his carefree attitude. It was rare to ever see Nate in this mood.

"So, uh, what time do you think we'll get home?" I asked.

He shrugged and turned into the parking lot.

"When Ashton messages me."

"Why are we awaiting on Ashton?" I asked confusedly.

"He's setting up your housewarming present. I know it's a bit over due but it was kind of a spontaneous move when you moved in so I never had anything really prepared and-"

"Woah, woah, wait." I stated, cutting Nate off. "A housewarming present? What for?"

Why would Nate need to get me anything? Didn't he understand that he and his family allowing me to live under a roof was basically more that enough?

His parents had basically taken on an additional four kids and he still thought he was obligated to get me a housewarming present?

"Duh, you moved into a new place." He said in an obvious tone, rolling his eyes.

"But I don't need a present!" I exclaimed. "You've given me more than enough."

"I don't think I have." He shrugged. "And besides, it's not like I'm doing this because I feel like I had to do it. I actually want to do this for you."

"B-but-"

"Don't argue. Just say thank you and that's all. Consider it me repaying you for the happiness you've provided me with." He smiled.

His grin was infectious and I couldn't help but smile in return.

"You're being awfully cheesy today." I laughed.

"Yeah, well, I'm in a good mood from possibly having the best nights sleep." He smirked.

I felt myself blushing but I continued to smile.

"Well I hope you at least didn't have to go through too much trouble for it." I muttered.

"The sleep? It was fine."

I rolled my eyes, fighting a grin.

"You know what I'm talking about." I said.

He laughed and nodded his head.

"All I had to do was make a few phone calls." He shrugged. "What time do your brothers come home today?"

"Their teachers said to wait at the school gates to pick them up at around seven. Why?"

"I got them a present too."

"As much as I'd really like to yell at you for it, thank you. But Nate, please remember that we don't need gifts. We're perfectly happy with the way we are." I smiled tenderly.

"Trust me, I don't think your brothers would care when they find out what I got them." He laughed. "I can't wait to see their faces."

I couldn't help but grin at that. Nate and my boys had gotten along extremely well. At one point, Nate had come to the pool house and when I told him I was doing homework and couldn't sit with him, he shrugged it off as if he hadn't cared and told me that he came here to hang out with my brothers instead.

"You really like them that much, ha?"

"Are you kidding Rose," he laughed, pulling into a parking spot. "They're exact replicas of me. What's not to love?"

I laughed and rolled my eyes, finding Nate's narcissistic yet sweet side of him amusing.

He finally parked and we simultaneously opened the door and made our ways to the line to buy our tickets, Nate's arm around my shoulder, keeping me close to him.

"Wait, we're in the wrong line." Nate said, frowning.

"But this is where we buy the tickets." I replied.

"I'm a VIP, I already have passes for us to get through," he smirked proudly.

He lead us to another line where we showed two passes to a lady sitting in the window. She nodded her head and handed us to plastic bracelets and allowed us entry.

"We're coming back here next week." Nate spoke as soon as we entered. "I want to take your brothers here as well."

Nate's liking towards my brothers was quite surprising. I knew my brothers were able to make anyone fall in love with them however seeing the Nate I knew being excited over hanging out with my brothers was just sweet.

"They'd love that, thank you." I smiled.

"I already got them their VIP passes so they can basically come whenever they want."

"As long as there's adult supervision provided then I'm fine with it."

"Why are you so worried? When I was a kid, it was always like 'whoops, Nate fell down the stairs again.' Or 'whoops, Nate broke glass on his feet again'. That's how I learnt to become a real man." He smirked.

I found it hard to believe that his parents would basically shrug off the fact that he may have fallen down the stairs.

"Are you sure you're not exaggerating, Nate?" An amused smile began to play at my lips.

"Maybe just a little." He shrugged, laughing.

We first made our way onto the Superman Roller-coaster. When Nate asked if I wanted to go on it, I think he expected me to say no because of a fear of heights.

"But all girls get so attention seeking and scream that they don't want to go on big rollercoasters." He stated confusedly.

"Stop being so sexist." I muttered, rolling my eyes. "I'm not afraid of heights and I'd love to get an adrenaline rush."

He nodded thoughtfully and looked towards the rollercoaster, watching with excitement as the people in the carts whizzed through, screaming with their hands flying up in the air.

"So why are we going to the rollercoasters first?" I asked him.

I wouldn't assume that it'd be the first ride to go on.

"Because I want to make you scream." He smirked, winking suggestively.

"Nate!" I yelled scoldingly, feeling my cheeks flame up.

He laughed and looked at me surprisingly.

"I didn't think you'd understand that joke." He chuckled.

"Yeah well, hanging out with you, Chris and the girls has made me less and less inno-"

"Naive?" He smirked.

I narrowed my eyes at him and shook my head.

"I was going to say innocent but whatever." I muttered.

He chuckled and brought his arm around my head, kissing my temple.

"You still are way innocent." He laughed. "But some of my jokes just fly over your head, it's too funny."

I scowled at him, turning my body to face his.

"Oh yeah? Like what?" I challenged.

"When I told you to go in your birthday suit? You completely missed it." He laughed.

Birthday suit? Suddenly, realization dawned on me and I understood what he said.

Before I could say anything, the cue pushed up and it was our turn to get on. Nate sat on the seat beside me and put his harness on.

"Rose, put the harness on unless you feel like flying off of this thing." He smirked.

I scowled playfully and pulled the harness down, keeping me locked and secure. The ride attendants came around and made sure that all our harnesses were secured properly.

And then our seats started to move.

***

We had probably been on every big rollercoaster at least five times each now. And not because Nate kept wanting to go on it. Nope, I was the one that kept dragging him along as he watched with an amused smirk.

The rush that we would get every time we went on a rollercoaster was amazing. And the fear we had? Just added to the awesomeness of the experience.

"Rose, do you want to get some churros?" Nate asked me when we spotted a cart.

"Um, you go ahead and get some for me, I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be like, a minute." I told him.

The bathroom was in sight so I wouldn't have lost him. He nodded and made his way to the cart while I walked to the bathroom.

As soon as I entered, I went to the last cubicle and quickly did my business, before coming out and washing my hands. I exited the bathroom and made a left to go back to Nate before a strong hold covered my mouth, pulling my head back, slamming it against a hard chest with a bang.

Subconsciously, I reached for my head to assess the damage. Even though there really wasn't any damage, the impact hurt like hell.

Frowning, I turned around to face a man who looked to be in his early thirties gazing at me with an intense look.

"What the hell is your problem?" I shouted, throwing my arms in the air.

"Feisty, ha?" He smirked.

This smirk, however, did not have any resemblance to the trademark smirk of Nate. Nate's smirk was undoubtedly sexy and teasing while this smirk was just downright creepy. Not to mention that I had no idea who this guy was.

"What do you want?" I asked angrily.

How dare he just slam me against his chest like it was a casual thing to do between strangers.

"To have some fun." He replied again, that same disgusting smirk on his face.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, trying to get around him.

"They have a million rides for that here. Get on a rollercoaster and have some fun." I muttered.

I attempted to get around him but he grabbed my upper arm and squeezed on it tightly.

Automatically, memories of how my dad used to grab me rushed back to me, making me freeze. I never did well with strangers touching me, because all I would remember was the times my father used to whip me and beat me up.

I've slowly gotten over my fear of the dark, to the point where I am actually able to sleep with the lights off, leaving the door open and letting a little light stream in.

But strangers touching me? I don't think I'd ever be okay with that.

In the moment of when I froze, the man's hand reached down to my lower back and pulled my shirt up a little, touching my bare skin.

I flinched and snapped out of my daze once his fingers trailed along the scars I had on my back and using my other hand, I slapped him across the face. And hard too.

"You little bi-"

I used his shock as an escape route and just before I was out of reach from him, he grabbed my ponytail and dragged me back towards him, slamming my back against the brick wall.

I fell down, sliding against the bricks, knowing that it would be sore in the morning. I let out a groan and looked up at the man, horrified to see he had started to take his belt off.

Whether he was going to whip me like my father used to do or he was going to rape me, I needed to get away. And fast, too.

Thinking quickly, I lifted up my leg and aimed it for his groin. He screamed in pain and his hands went to his crotch. I ducked from under him and began to run away but before I could do that, he pulled out his leg in front of me, making me trip.

Once he was on his feet, he lifted me from my hair again as I began to yell for help. Why the hell didn't I think of doing that earlier?

However, my voice was soon muffled when he pressed his hand against my mouth. From watching all the movies that I did (and thank God I had an interest in action films) I opened my mouth and bit his hand as hard as I could.

I heard him scream once again however, he had his arm gripped around my waist, making me unable to move.

He pushed me against the brick wall again, this time, standing on my legs so I couldn't move. His pants were off in a flash while I continued screaming for help.

Just as the man was about to take off his underwear, I heard a familiar voice come into distance and I felt secure once again.

Nate was here.

The man jumped off of my feet and frowned gruffly at Nate and I used his distraction by kicking him again in the groin. He yelped in pain and was down on his knees again. This time, instead of running away, I made a fist and punched him as hard as I could onto his jaw.

Although I probably caused myself pain more than he, I still felt like he deserved that punch.

I felt a different pair of hands touch my shoulders and I didn't even need to turn around to know that it was Nate.

"Rose, hold these and go stand over there." He said through gritted teeth, handing me a paper bag where our churros were.

I nodded and took the bag off of him before going to stand a substantial distance away from Nate and the man.

As soon as I was away, Nate grabbed the man in pain and lifted him from his shirt and threw him against the wall like the man had done to me. Nate proceeded to punch him on his face over and over again before the man started to bleed.

"Nate, that's enough, lets go." I told Nate, slowly walking closer.

He looked like he was going to ignore me because he threw the man onto the floor and continued to repeatedly punch him and cuss towards him.

"Nate, lets go!" I said louder, hoping to gain his attention.

Nate looked up towards me, his eyes meeting my own before he stood up and kicked the man in the gut before walking over to me.

He stopped when he stood opposite to me as he took in my state.

"Are you okay?" He asked me, his eyes soft.

I was just about to ask him the same thing. He was shaking so much, probably from anger, but he didn't look too good.

"I'm fine." I murmured. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm all good." He smiled.

He caressed my cheek softly, sending sharp tingles to venture down my spine.

"You have a scratch on your cheek." He murmured softly.

"It's just a scratch." I smiled, putting my hand on top of Nate's in a calming manner.

"Yeah, and that bastard caused it." He muttered, his teeth clenched.

"I think I ended up causing more pain than he did to me." I chuckled lightly.

Nate furrowed his brows confusedly and his gaze seemed to bore into my eyes, as if he were studying my every breath.

"Nate, what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"It's just... Rose, that guy tried to rape you. Like rape. And here you are, completely fine. It's weird." He commented.

That's what he was worried about? Why I wasn't freaking out, or sobbing and seeking for his comfort?

"Would you prefer if I started to cry and talk about what a traumatic experience this will be and I can never live my life properly again?" I asked with an amused smile.

He cracked the slightest grin and shook his head.

"No, that's not it. I'm happy you're not freaking out. I'm just, a little on edge. Will the trauma come to you later or are you really fine?"

He looked so cute when he was worried.

"Nate," I spoke sure of myself, my eyes meeting his in a definite manner. "I really am fine."

"And this doesn't bring up memories for you or anything?"

I winced a little, because yes, it brought up a heap of memories and they may be on my mind more often than they usually were but I was fine.

"To be honest, yes it does. It always does when I come in contact with a stranger. Especially a man in his early thirties because that was my fathers age when he... You know. Did what he did to me." I muttered awkwardly.

"I wish I could meet him." Nate murmured thoughtfully. "I'd probably kill him."

I chuckled softly and rolled my eyes.

"He still is my dad you know. I wouldn't let you kill him per se. Maybe just beat him up a lot."

"That's exactly why I shouldn't meet him. I wouldn't have control over my actions in front of him." He shrugged.

We stayed silent for a few moments before Nate had a look of uncertainty cross his features.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"I'm still not certain that you won't burst into tears." He admitted.

"Nate, my whole life, every time my father would beat me and whip me, I never fought back. Ever. And today, when that disgusting man attacked me, I fought back. I did not give in. And it felt good standing up for myself." I smiled proudly.

"So, no. No tears. My crying doesn't work that way anyways. I don't cry over serious things." I laughed.

Nate chuckled and pointed towards the unconscious man behind us.

"Exhibit A." He said.

I nodded and he stood in front of me awkwardly, like he didn't know what to do.

"What now?" I asked exasperatingly.

He narrowed his eyes at me, shifting his weight onto one foot.

"I feel like I need to hug you or something." He muttered, his words barely audible.

"Well I wouldn't say no to that," I laughed.

He cocked an eyebrow, making me grin foolishly.

"You've grown more confident since the first time we met." He pointed out.

"Yeah, we'll I think your narcissism has gotten to my head." I joked.

He rolled his eyes and slung his shoulder around me like he had before.

"You want to go on the superman again?" He asked.

I gave him a look that basically read 'do you even have to ask?'

And before I could say anything, he was already leading the way.

***

We spent exactly five hours and fifty two minutes at six flags. I was grinning like a little kid on Christmas morning when we were leaving; that's just how happy I was.

If I was this happy at an amusement park, then I couldn't wait to have my brothers come and see their faces. It would be priceless. I'd have to make sure to bring a camera when we brought them.

Once we arrived home, Nate turned the car off in the driveway and took his seatbelt off, moving his body towards me.

"I have to go check on your present, you promise not to get out of the car until I tell you?" He asked, looking anxious.

"I promise." I nodded firmly.

"Good, because if you do, I'll kick your ass."

And with that, he had opened his door in a flash and slammed it, running towards the pool house.

I sat in the car awkwardly, not knowing what to do. A whole part of me was dying to get out of the car to see what Nate had gotten for me. But, there was no doubt that if I did do that, someone was bound to catch me since I wasn't the most subtle person out there.

So instead, I sat in the car as patiently as possible, mentally planning out a menu for me and my brothers for when they came back from camp.

When I was organizing what I was going to cook on Wednesday, the door opened abruptly and shut just as quick.

"It'll be ready in a few hours but Ash and Brandon needs help. I'll drop you off at Chloe and Cam's place so I can put the finishing touches." He said quickly, starting the car already.

"Brandon?" I asked surprisingly. "Your brother is back?"

"Yeah, he came back today. He's dying to meet you by the way. But he'll just have to wait until tonight."

"Your brother just came back from California and you've got him working on a present for me?" I asked, raising my brows.

"Yep." He replied. "Now call the girls and let them know you're coming over."

I did as he asked and their enthusiasm was enough to tell me that they weren't too unhappy about me being there.

With Nate's reckless and unbelievably fast driving, I was standing in their driveway within a few minutes.

"I should be able to pick you up in a couple of hours." Nate told me.

"What about my brothers? I have to pick them up from school." I reminded him.

He nodded and took a step closer to me, kissing me on the lips quickly.

"I'll pick you up and then pick them up, too. It'll be better if you guys get your present at the same time." He said.

I nodded and stepped on my toes, and snaked my arms around Nate's neck, bringing his face closer to mine to embrace him in a kiss.

He kissed me back quickly, wasting no time in dominating the kiss. I pulled back after a few seconds, smiling.

"Thank you for today." I murmured, pecking him on the lips.

"Whatever." He grunted, looking embarrassed.

I laughed at his expression and he just rolled his eyes.

"Okay now go, cause I really have to leave."

I nodded and began making my way to the front door. I heard Nate's car start and before I could knock on the door, I heard him call my name. I turned around, and saw a smirk playing at his lips.

"I love you." He winked and before I could make any reply, he was shooting out of the driveway and speeding back towards his house.

Someday, when Nate least expected it, I would get my revenge. I would tell him I loved him and run away somehow, not letting him say it back.

I knocked on the front door and before I could blink, it opened rapidly, the girls in their swimming costumes.

"What the..."

I thought I came here to hang out with them. Were we going to hang out in their pool?

"Hey, Rose!" They greeted enthusiastically.

"Um... Hey guys." I greeted cheerily. "Why are you in your swimming costume?"

"We're going to the water park and you're coming." They announced.

The next thing was just a blur. One minute I'm saying bye to Nate and the next, I was arguing with the girls about the swimming costume they chose for me.

"Rose, just wear it! Everyone will be wearing one." Cam exclaimed.

"You're not wearing one, that's not fair! You get to wear a singlet." I retorted.

"That's because I'm pregnant, I don't want to expose my stomach." Cam smirked, as if she knew she won the argument.

"W-well I'm pregnant too."

The words were out before the thought even registered in my mind.

Cam raised her eyebrows suspiciously, while Chloe watched in amusement.

"Really?"

I gulped. I guess I'd just have to stick to that story.

"Really. I found out yesterday but I didn't want to tell anyone just yet." I responded, awkwardly rubbing my belly.

"Right. Okay, fine. We'll compromise. You wear the bikini and you can wear a T-shirt on top." Chloe pitched in.

I nodded, agreeing to their compromise. It was probably going to be the best deal I could come up with them.

They handed me the bikini and shoved me inside of their bathroom. I locked the door and put the electric blue stringy bikini on. The top covered my breasts fully, going up into a halter while the bottoms had strings on the sides, showing more than what I liked.

When I finished, the girls handed me a white shirt. It was just your normal average short sleeve shirt. It reached just to cover the bottoms of my bikini.

And then, we were off. I couldn't believe that in one day, I had been to an amusement park and a water park, it was a lot for one day.

When we arrived, I was taken straight to the sky coaster, which was basically a fifty meter plunge drop. More or less like the flying fox. I went on the aqua loop and the girls and I hung out in the whirl pool, too, having the place to ourselves.

It was only when I was walking passed my reflection I noticed the reason for Cam and Chloe's smirks.

"The shirt is see through!" I exclaimed loudly, horrified at the fact that it didn't matter that I had a shirt on, the whole thing was see through.

The girls started laughing at me, like basically in hysterics.

"You just noticed?" They chuckled.

I narrowed my eyes at them, knowing they thought I was completely stupid.

Before I could retort, my phone started to ring and I quickly answered it, seeing that it was Nate.

"Hey, Nate." I greeted.

"Rose, I'm going to try to be uh, as obvious and helpful as possible with what I'm going to tell you."

Okay...

"Rose, I'm not sure if you ever listened in class before we met. But even if you didn't, you've seen enough movies to know. You... Rose, there is a special way people get pregnant. And I don't know if it's a girl thing or that you're just overly maternal, but babe, we haven't had sex. You're not pregnant." He said each word slowly, as if making sure everything he was saying would register in my mind.

"Nate, I'm not pregnant. Chloe isn't pregnant. Cam is pregnant. I know how it works." I laughed.

The line was silent for a moment before I heard Nate take in a huge breath.

"I don't think you do. Rose, I know that you already feel like a mother and that you want children, but wanting it so badly to the point of convincing yourself that you're pregnant isn't healthy." He spoke.

What the...?

And then it hit me.

I turned around quickly and shot daggers at a laughing Cam.

"Nate, who told you I was pregnant?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Camilla." He said.

"Nate, I'm not pregnant. The whole thing was a misunderstanding." I continued, pushing myself closer to Camilla.

"Okay." He said and I wasn't surprised when the line went dead.

Nate just had a tendency for hanging up on people.

I packed my phone away and turned to the laughing twins.

"You told Nate I was pregnant!?" I exclaimed loudly.

They continued to chuckle as I marched over towards them.

"Hey, you started it." They laughed, shrugging.

"But... Even if I was pregnant, you don't go and tell him!" I shouted.

"We can do whatever we please." Chloe said smugly.

I narrowed my eyes at her and scowled playfully.

"I'm outraged!"

"And you can continue to be outraged, but be outraged on the aqua loop, come on, I want to go."

And then I was dragged to yet another ride today.

***

"When we open the door, are people going to shout surprise for us?"

"Liam." I groaned for the hundredth time.

How many questions could one kid ask?

"For the millionth time, it's not a surprise party, it's just a surprise." I explained.

As soon as Nate had picked me up from the girls house, we went straight to the school to pick up the boys. Nate told them that they had a surprise waiting for them at home and then the questions started flooding in.

"But what if the surprise is a surprise party?" Liam pressed.

"Nate, is the surprise a party?" I asked, sending him a signal to try and change the conversation.

"Nope, it's not." He laughed.

Unlike me, Nate was actually enjoying my brothers pressing questions and persistence. He found it hilarious that I was annoyed.

"But what if your saying no because it has to be a surprise?" Liam asked.

"Liam, it's not a surprise party." I groaned.

"How would you know? You don't know what he bought us." Mike smirked cheekily, as if he knew the persistence between him and his twin was eating me alive.

"Mike." I warned.

"So is it a surprise party?"

Another groan.

"Maybe." Nate said, an amused smirk playing at his lips.

"So if its a surprise party, do we get any added presents or will that just be it?" Jace piped in.

Okay, now they were just doing this to annoy me. So instead, I sat in the car and remained silent until we had pulled up in the driveway. The boys unbuckled their seatbelts and were out in a flash and I trailed right behind them.

"Did you invite my friends to the surprise party?" Liam asked Nate.

"I think it's time to show you your present." He laughed.

He walked us into the pool house and towards a closet.

"You hid the surprise party in a closet?" Mike asked, a cute frown fleeting across his features.

"Who ever said that this was a closet?" Nate asked.

Confusion swept over me as I frowned confusedly. I opened my mouth to make a comment but before I could, Nate opened the door to the closet and I was widely mistaken when it wasn't a closet.

When I first moved in, this door had a lock on it and when I asked what it was, everyone told me it was a closet and since I wasn't aching for space, I brushed it off.

But who knew that this so closet was a massive room filled with everything a male could ever want.

It was the ultimate games room. Lined up against one wall was a bunch of arcade games, PAC Man and asteroids and all that. Around the room, there was a hockey table, fooseball table, pool table, and every other something table.

In the middle of everything were a bunch of beanbags that looked up to a TV that had an Xbox, PS3, Wii and Nintendo.

The walls were splattered with paint, giving it a fun-space sort of look. The place was hard to describe, but in an instant I knew that it would be my brothers new sanctuary.

"So it isn't a surprise party?" Jace smirked.

Rolling my eyes, I watched as the boys ran up to the arcades and started playing games. Halfway through, they jumped off, ran towards Nate and engulfed him in a huge hug which he awkwardly returned, before the boys went back to their games.

"So I think they like their present." Nate commented smugly, walking next to me and putting an arm around my shoulder.

"Do you want to go check out your presents?" Nate asked.

I tilted my head to look at his and raised my brows.

"Presents? As in plural?"

"Yep. Lets go."

Nate called to the boys to let them know that we'll be back and after receiving a very convincing (sense the sarcasm) reply, we left towards the Sanders garage.

"Now this is present number one. I have something else in store for you." Nate said.

I nodded my head anxiously, waiting for the garage door to open to see what he had gotten me.

"Now this present is in working progress considering you. You'll know what I mean when you see it."

I continued to sit in my place, just staring ahead curiously.

And then the garage door opened.

Authors Note:

I am so, so, so extremely sorry for the boring chapter! This chapter sucks so much and is all over the place but I just needed one more light chapter before I jumped back into the storyline next chapter. I might leave you guys on a huge cliffhanger Hahahhaha.

Anyhow, I wrote this chapter during my holiday. Which was AWESOME!

Anywho, can anyone guess the presents Nate has for Rose?

Just a little reply to a comment from last chapter: Rose's character is innocent. That is how she is. It doesn't make her wildly immature. Yes, she's been on her own for a long time and she's protected her brothers which has allowed her to grow in maturity but just because she doesn't understand suggestive jokes and comments doesn't make her immature, it makes her innocent. Being through hardship doesn't mean she would have been subjected to rapists, creeps and pedophiles, so when she does come across something like that, she doesn't understand.

Anyhow... Thoughts? Even though I know this is the worst chapters yet, I wanted to get something up and this is what I came up with.

Vote, comment and fan.
