Woman of Intelligence (Book 2 in the series)

Chapter 9

Riya was standing in the middle of the secret room, doing her training. The room was massive. Half the room was converted to a computer room and the other half was for practicing her fighting skills. Riya had her sword in her left hand. She was looking at the wall with a firm expression. She was using her sense to predict any objects or people coming her way. Three small metal balls fell from the ceiling. Riya closed her eyes and started sensing the sounds of the balls. One ball was coming towards her head. Her kept her eyes close when she was getting her sword ready. The ball was coming close to her head, she slammed the ball with her sword. The ball was slammed on the hall wall then landed on the floor. The other was aiming on her foot, she did a flip and kicked the ball. Then she slammed the last ball with her sword. The two balls landed on the fall, creating a loud noise and making the floor vibrate.

One screen made a loud sound. Riya was looking at the corner of her eye. The middle screen was beeping every two seconds. The sweat from her body was dripping on the floor. She was practicing for an hour because she had to wait for the software to update. Plus, she needed to build her strength. The screen was still beeping away. She slowly walked towards the desk with her sword in her hand. Every second, a drop of sweat landed on the floor. She stopped in front of the desk. Then she pressed 'Enter' to look at the information she hacked. 

A page, filled with names, appeared on the screen. These were the names of the celebrities Antonio sold drugs to. Some of the names had red writings next to their names. It was written 'committed suicide'. Riya took a seat on her rolling chair and started typing the names that had the red writings next to them. She finished typing then waited for the page to load. The page popped up within two seconds. There so many headlines, regarding the suicide cases. The parents of late celebrities were speaking out about drugs. They claimed that their children were forced to take drugs. Some parents filed cases against the modelling companies for forcing their children to take drugs. Some police stations dropped the cases. They even dropped some cases against Antonio Lopez. Riya should have known that drug lords and gangsters would have connections with the police force. These poor families were going through so much and the police did not bother to help them. Some of the police officers were interested in money. 

Riya was doing some more investigation to see if Antonio had any connections with other gangsters on her elimination list. She started typing on the keyboard. The background information of Antonio popped up on the screen. There was a list of names that were gangsters and drug lords that were friends with Antonio. Riya was amazed by the number of names. Luckily, she highlighted the names of the gangsters that were in her elimination list. Four names were highlighted in bright green. Those were the names of gangsters that were on her list. Now she was researching on Sebastian. Before she could type, his personal details were already on the screen. 

Sebastian was twenty-nine year old and he was a plastic surgeon. That should be interesting because Riya heard that Los Angeles also had a high rate of celebrities taking plastic surgeries. Some of the celebrities could probably be Sebastian's patients. The celebrities could have told him about his father's dirty works. So, Sebastian was standing up for them. But why would Sebastian accuse his father? Maybe there was a fallout between them before Sebastian found out about his father's work. 

Riya was done for the evening. She was about to put the screen when she felt the room was moving. She still sitting on the chair. She placed her hand on her head to stop the movement. It was helping but it was making her slightly dizzy. She held the table tightly to hold her balance. Few seconds later, everything was still. Riya was not feeling dizzy. She tried to stand up to check if everything was still. The entire room was still. Riya found that strange. Maybe spending too much time on the computer was probably giving her the dizzy moments. Riya switched off all the computers and the other equipment. Then she got up from the chair to put her sword away. She was going to call it for the night.
