Chapter 10

Janet was awakened by the sunlight coming through the window. Her and Toni had fallen asleep on the floor after their makeout session. Toni was laying on top of Janet's chest with the scent of her hair wafting into Janet's nose. The scent of vanilla and coconut intoxicated her. She watched her sleep soundly and it caused her heart to flutter. Suddenly she felt something tap on her head. She looked up and saw Denim standing above her. "Why on floor?"

"We fell asleep here."

"Mommy sleep?"

"Yeah."

"Up up. Me hungry."

"Okay, we'll get you some food." Janet slowly got up from under Toni before picking her up and laying her across the bed. She then went and ordered a big breakfast for all of them. "Denim, is your brother awake?" He nodded his head and pulled Janet by her hand to the room. When she got in she saw Diezel jumping in the crib. He lifted his arms and Janet picked him up. They all went into the living room and she turned on a cartoon for them to watch. Diezel was in her lap laughing at the cartoon while Denim was standing next to her on the couch, dancing to the cartoon music. After twenty minutes the room service was brought to the room. The three of them sat at the dining table and began eating. Denim was going crazy on his pancakes and eggs while Diezel was gumming on a piece of banana. Janet had egg whites, turkey bacon, and fresh avocado toast. "Do you like it Denim?"

"It so good."

"Well, well. What's going on in here?" Janet and Denim turned to see Toni was awake.

"Well we're having a very nice breakfast. Why don't you join us."

"I would love to." Toni walked over to the table but before sitting she bent over and kissed Janet.

"Eww mama. Germs." The ladies laughed at the toddler's reaction. Toni sat next to Janet and began eating. "Mama why you kiss Janet?" Janet looked at Toni. The two of them had not talked about where their relationship was going. They really never discussed it after the kiss. Though Janet was really to explore the relationship further, she didn't know how Toni felt about it. However, she waited for Toni to respond to get an idea of how she felt.

"Well Denim, Janet and I like each other a lot."

"Like you and Daddy?"

"Yes but me and Daddy don't like each other anymore."

"I no like him too." Toni looked sad. "But I like Janet. She pretty."

"I know baby." Toni looked at Janet and smiled. Janet sat Diezel in the high chair she requested earlier.

"Toni, let's go in here and talk." Toni took Janet's hand and stood to leave.
"Ok. Denim we'll be right back."

"Otay mama." Janet led Toni to the bedroom and they sat on the bed.

"Toni, I think we need to talk about last night."

"Why is something wrong?"

"No. I just want to know what you're thinking about us. We're both going through divorces so we need to decide what we're doing."

"I agree. Granted I have really deep feelings for you more than I've ever had for anyone but I don't want you to think I'm using you to feel better."

"Toni there was something there last night. I felt complete being near you."

"I felt that way too. Kind of like I had found what I needed."

"Same thing with me."

"How about for now we just learn more about each other and see where this goes. The biggest mistake we can make is taking this too fast."
