Trapped

Firstly, I know I've been such an ass for not updating the story for so long. 

I knew college wasn't really easy but my course - particularly, is like a death sentence I inflicted on myself.

I'll try to update more in the future.

"I told you this was too easy for him." TOP grumbled as he watched as Taeyang and Daesung check Jiyong's work. "You told us you had something great in mind."

"I really did Hyung!" Seungri tried to defend himself as his shoulders slumped. "I just forgot it."

"You should've written it down you dummy!" The man hissed before walking over to Jiyong and the others to help with the shoe checking, leaving Seungri by himself.

The latter did have a great idea, and he didn't forget it as well. It was just that he told CL about it and she announced that they had to think of another test as she was doing it already so he had to result to a test of find the sneaker instead.

They prepared an 18ft by 48in circular inflatable pool and filled it up with all kinds of sneakers. They bought 5 sneakers that Dara already had in her collection - those she often used but not as frequently to be noticed immediately, and added them into the mix. 

Dara was a certified sneakerhead so they had quite a hard time looking for shoes she didn't use quite often or that she didn't already have, but they managed to pull it off by adding in a bunch of hollow plastic balls one would usually see in a ball pit, making it even harder for him to look for the shoes. 

They expected Jiyong to have a hard time and take long, so Seungri suggested they enjoy the show and brought out a few drinks and pop corn. They were so amused at their leader's face while he looked for the shoes, letting out a few chuckles here and there. Of course, these earned them piercing glares from the man but who was he to complain to them at that moment? 

He was the one being tested and challenged, not the other way around.  

But, all things aside, he was still their friend - and leader, nevertheless, so they allowed him to find only one shoe out of the pair. 

Jiyong found a few in the first 20 minutes, but sadly, they weren't what he was looking for. 

He continued to look for a few minutes more and began finding the right shoes. At first, his friends were happy, but when he found the shoes one after the other, they began to get creeped out at how precise the man was. How could he find them one after the other after just a few fails?

Honestly, it was a pretty decent challenge, the only setback was that they didn't expect the man to find the shoes in less than an hour. 

"How'd you find them so quickly in that mess?" Daesung - who had went straight to them after Jiyong's success in the first challenge, asked as he looked in awe at his friend.

"I don't know. I think it's meant to be." Jiyong said, not being able to wipe the huge grin on his face. 

His friends shook their heads at him. They still couldn't believe how he managed to find the sneakers so quickly.

"But seriously though." He said as he drank the drink Taeyang passed him. "Your challenges are nothing. Teddy Hyung's was a nightmare."

His members' ears perked up at the mention of an interesting topic and grinned. 

They knew Jiyong passed their Hyung's challenge slash test, but both of them were so secretive and mysterious about it to the point that they only knew that he was done a few days after the actual thing happened. They tried asking, but none of them would spill the beans. 

Now that Jiyong mentioned the topic first, all four of them wanted to get in on the tea. 

"Just stop with all the suspense and tell us!" Seungri excitedly demanded as he dragged a chair for Jiyong to sit on, sitting down himself on one of the stools near him. 

"He brought me to a hypnotist or whatever you call them." Jiyong started with a ghost of a sad but fulfilled smile on his lips. "At first I didn't know why we were there. The place was so quite. Not the comfortable kind of quiet, but the creepy type. After Hyung left, the man started to do a bunch of things, then he pulled out an antique looking pocket watch and swung it left to right in front of me. Before I knew it, I was under hypnosis and I was seeing what Hyung and the hypnotist wanted me to see. 

"I was transported from one episode to another. The first episode was when I first met Dara. Then I got warped into the time when we were on tour. I witnessed how Dara worried over me while I played around with people specifically--"

"Don't mention her name." TOP intervened before Jiyong could continue. "I still get a migraine whenever I hear that woman's name."

Jiyong could only chuckle together with the rest of his friends before continuing. 

"So, as I was saying. He showed me how Dara worried over the possibility of me missing my meals and loosing sleep. Then the events in front of me changed to when Dara and I broke up and the days that followed. How she acted okay during working hours and how she cried herself to sleep at night. How she skipped her meals and drank alcohol even though she knew she was weak when it comes to drinking and when she was sent to the hospital. How CL and the girls flipped. I witnessed how she begged CL to let her see me again.

"I thought seeing her like that was torture enough, but Hyung was serious when he said he won't make things easy for me. He made me see how everything I did lead to her happiness with another man. You could guess what it was. I saw her get married, have children and worst, I saw how she smiled at me as if trying to say thank you for breaking her heart. I saw her happy with another man.

"The moment I got out of the illusions and opened my eyes, my face was filled with tears, my nose was red and was full of snot and my eyes were red and puffy from all the crying I thought I only did when I was witnessing everything while under hypnosis. When I saw the man and Hyung standing in front of me, I literally went down on my knees and begged him to say that everything I saw was a lie. But sadly and at the same time luckily, only the wedding part wasn't true. When I say it was a nightmare, it was an actual nightmare. I couldn't even sleep for a week."

Everyone was silent. 

They've heard about the hospital incident but they couldn't imagine any of it and how hurt they would've been if they knew beforehand. Now that Jiyong was telling them that Teddy made a way for him to witness everything with his own eyes, they could never imagine how scared the man was and how guilty he must have been. 

"Teddy Hyung doesn't joke." Daesung commented, thanking the heavens that he, at least, didn't do anything stupid to provoke his Hyung's displeasure. 

"With things like these? When did he ever?" Taeyang added with a sigh.

"Yah. You need to treat her right." TOP demanded with a stern face. "Do the things you did in the past and you'll be facing a dozen more Teddy Hyungs."

"I know Hyung." Jiyong nodded his head and smiled at TOP. "I'd be a complete jackass if I hurt Dara again - not that I'm planning to anyways."
