The first week with dad home was amazing, but at the same time it was so weird. He was there waiting for me after my dates the Jake, making me breakfast in the morning before school and working on my car.

This was the longest dad had been home in at least 2 years. Dad had been home for one whole month now and school was coming to a end in 2 and a half months.

Tonight was football night at Jake’s and the guys decided they loved my dad and always invited him over, it was great don’t get me wrong it was a sweet idea but my dad and the guys were getting on way to well for my liking.

“Becky should we take something over” dad yelled up the stairs. I rolled my eyes and grabbed Jake’s jumper and headed downstairs “Dad relax we always grab take away, all you need to take is something else to drink if you don’t want beer, you know the rules” Dad nodded and led me out the front door and into his Jeep. As we pulled up I noticed Kelly’s car in the drive way, she had been hanging out with the guys a lot lately it was fun to not be the only girl.

I smiled as I saw Jake run out the front door and rip open the car door, I chuckled as he helped me out and muttered a quick hello to dad as he dragged me inside. I laughed as dad muttered something about young love and raging hormones. I could hear everyone chuckling as Jake led me to his room. He pulled me on to his lap as he sat on the bed and covered my neck in kisses. “Naw miss me baby” Jake smiled and kissed me hungrily “You have no fucking idea how long this week has been, I needed to get you alone for 5 minutes princess”. After 10 minutes of making out, I dragged Jake back out to the lounge room just as the game was starting. I noticed Chase and Dad in a heated discussion about the game and smiled as I watched them, Chase grinned over at me as they continued to talk. But what made me stop and stare was Luke, he was sitting quietly with his arms wrapped around Kelly. Kelly grinned over at me and mouthed “Tell you later promise” I nodded and sat down next to Jake.  

Apparently they already ordered the pizza’s because they didn’t know how long we were going to be, talk about awkward. Half way through the game the pizza’s arrived and Jake got up and grabbed them. The second the pizza lids were open I made a run for the bathroom and threw up. Suddenly someone was holding my hair and it was Kelly thank god. 15 minutes later and my stomach finally settled down, I washed my face and brushed my teeth then I finally looked at Kelly who was in deep concentration. I went to grab the door handle when Kelly grabbed my arm gently “Becca have you guys, well you no, been safe”. We stood in silence as I thought through our entire love making moments. “Twice….Twice we weren’t safe it was the very beginning of our relationship” I muttered out. Kelly nodded and held me tight “What am I going to do I can’t be pregnant, oh god what about Jake, what if he leaves me, no it must have just been something I ate today” I was borderline hysterical.

Kelly grabbed my hand and pulled me through the living room, all eyes were on me and I noticed that Dad, Chase and Jake looked beyond worried. “We’re just going to the store can I leave you guys in charge of getting rid of the pizzas by the time we get back??” Kelly asked. The guys grabbed the rest of the boxes and threw them out the back into the bin, not even caring there was pizza left. I gave a soft smile as Kelly pulled me out the front door.

We headed for the 24 hour chemist and thankfully Kelly went inside for me, I couldn’t move, I was shaking, how could I have been so careless. Kelly came back with 4 different tests and I had to laugh “Well at least we will be very accurate” she chuckled. Kelly held my hand as we drove back to Jakes and thankfully I noticed my dad had left. Kelly shoved the bag inside her handbag as we walked inside, thankfully there was no trace of pizza anywhere. We headed straight to Jake’s ensuite and locked the door. “Ok the test says after you pee we put the cap back on and wait 3 minutes” Kelly  muttered as she handed me all four tests. I did my business and all that was left to do was wait. I paced the bathroom as we waited, I was terrified to look. Kelly’s phone alarm went off telling us the 3 minutes were up she grabbed my hand as we walked over to the sink, I couldn’t breathe and I was shaking so bad. “I can’t look please just tell me” I stuttered out. Kelly nodded and held me tight as I closed my eyes.  She squeezed me tight and rested her head on my shoulder.
