The next morning I woke happy and refreshed, I sat up slowly in bed and looked for my phone I must have woken early since the alarm hadn’t gone off yet. I found my phone on the floor and flew off the bed in a hurry “Shit it’s almost 9am im so late stupid alarm”. I ran around the room grabbing clothes from my wardrobe I pulled my short shorts on and a band t-shirt on and grabbed my vans and ran downstairs. I really wanted the shower but I had no time, no time for make-up either, this day was going to be awesome not….

I arrived at school in record time, a highly illegal time if you counted all the stop signs I ran. I grabbed my bag and started running in. the bell suddenly rang and I slowed down realising it was now second period which was…oh joy English. I dragged my butt up the stairs only to bump into Jason. “Hey about time you got here, sleep in?” I nodded and gave him a hug, Jason was my best friend he always knew when I was upset or needed help. He hugged me tight as we walked into English, only to see Khloe already in with the same seats as yesterday, I rolled my eyes and sat down next to her. As soon as I sat down Chase walked in with a giant grin on his face “Morning guys ok everyone pull out your copy of Romeo and Juliet and partner up” he smiled over at me and I tried not to look so love struck, god he was making me all lovey dovey and we weren’t together.

Jason and I paired up because Khloe had decided that Chase was going to be hers. I tried hard not to roll my eyes at her but Jas did it for me “I love Khloe and all but seriously when is this going to end its just a teacher ok he is cool and all but...” I squeezed his hand softly “Jas you no she loves you, she does it to make you slightly jealous so you will show her how much you love her, I love Khloe but she is a drama queen”. He chuckled and kissed my forehead, we started reading through our lines and we couldn’t help laughing at each other, the famous love scene was probably not the best thing to act out with your best mate. No matter how much fun we were having I couldn’t help but watch Khloe and Chase and wishing that I was her at that moment.

After a torturous hour the bell finally rang and everyone packed up “Now everyone I want you to finish the rest of the book by Monday that’s the only homework im giving you and you all have plenty of time, Miss White can I see you after class please”. I rolled my eyes and sat down, god could he make it any weirder. As everyone left he locked the door again and walked over at sat in front of me “ So is he your boyfriend”. I stared at Chase and couldn’t help but laugh, I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so much, but when I opened my eyes I notice Chase’s eyes were filled with anger.

I stopped laughing suddenly “Jas, no he is Khloe’s boyfriend and my best friend since we were 5, what do you  care anyway your just my teacher”. Chase’s eyes softened and suddenly he looked embarrassed “Look I know I shouldn’t have asked but I really wanted to no sorry...”. I nodded and sat back quietly. “Look the reason I asked you to stay back was on Friday night im going to my brother’s pool party and as your new best friend I wanted to no if you would join me?” I smiled and nodded at Chase “Of course sounds fun what time?” Chase grinned over at me “I’ll pick you up at 5 sound good”. He gave me a quick hug and I headed out, I already missed the heat of his body against mine and suddenly I realised Friday night was going to suck, there was going to be girls all over him, Gah why did I agree to spending so much time with him... idiot.

School finally finished and I drove Kelly to mine I had been avoiding telling her about Chase for a while but now with Friday night I desperately needed her help. We had dinner and got changed into our pj’s and I knew I had to bring it up now.

“Kel I have something to tell you just promise me you won’t get mad”.

“Ohhhh k but I don’t think im going to like it”. I smiled and turned to face her.

“Ok well on Friday night when you went home with Mitch I was walking home, well dancing and singing my drunk ass off, and Chase came and drove me home, he was really sweet and we talked all night. When he dropped me off we kinda kissed and he asked me out…. We texted all weekend and when Monday came bam he was my English teacher. But I really like him and I no how bad it looks but I knew him before that has to count right…”.

Kelly sat there stunned and I was scared to move. I squeezed her hand softly and waited to see what would happen. A few minutes later she finally laughed, laughed. I stared at her she looked like a crazy women.

“Becca I love you very much but I gotta give it to ya girl nice.” We both laughed and she hugged me tight “Look I can see it’s a shit ass situation but it’s not like you were dating so I guess its good you found out before you got in to deep right”. I nodded slowly and looked anywhere but Kelly, but of course she noticed that to. “Oh no you really like him Becca I don’t have a problem with it but every other person will, does he no??”.

“Kel he doesn’t no, but we made out again after class the other day and it was amazing but then he said it was a mistake, he won’t even chance it with me and I no its risking his job so I understand but I still really want him, but we are now “best friends”. Kelly hugged me tighter “Well babes maybe he is interested but his good side won’t let him come out and play” I smiled she always had a way of making things seem better. “Well he invited me to a pool party at his brother’s house Friday night”.

Kelly jumped up and dragged me up to my room and into my wardrobe, I chuckled behind her “what on earth are you doing to my poor wardrobe?”. Kelly chuckled evilly and it kind of freaked me out “Don’t you get it Friday night is your chance to show him who you are beside the school crap I mean come on your 18 so its not illegal just frowned upon but we finish school in 5 months, so you my honey are going to look drop dead gawjaz and flirt with every guy there, make him super jealous and if he does get jealous you no he cares if not, well you can admire from afar”. We both broke out in laughter as Kelly found what she was looking for my leopard print bikini and my short shorts that should be called panties and my black lace crop top.  “Kelly im going to look like a major slut” I whined and Kelly just rolled her eyes “Come on babes it’s a pool party the one time your allowed to barely cover up”.

We finally headed back down stairs and watched some more one tree hill. I realised I felt better now that I knew Kelly was ok with my feelings for Chase. At 10:30 we headed up stairs and went to bed. I couldn’t wait till Friday night I just hoped Kelly’s plan would work and not back fire in my face…
