Part 13🌸

Same day

After the club meeting I went downstairs and saw Olivia and Charlie making a puzzle with David Michael.

David Michael- Lilli!
Lilliana- hi buddy!

He ran up to me and gave me a hug. I hugged him back and laughed. He pulled away and ran back to the table.

Olivia- hi Lilli!
Charlie- you look better
Lilliana- Liv was right! I just needed to eat more
Olivia- what did you eat?
Lilliana- a full bowl of salad
Charlie- I'm proud of you, Lilli
Olivia- congrats!
Lilliana- thanks guys. But I gotta go meet up with Sam and the boys in the garage, I'll see you later. Or if not I'll see you tomorrow
Charlie- bye Lilli
Olivia- bye!

I walked to the garage and opened the door. Sam, Oliver and Emmett were sitting down by a table that was there and they had Oliver's laptop out. I walked over to them and put my head on Sam's shoulder.

Lilliana- hi boys!
Oliver- feeling better I see?
Lilliana- yeah
Emmett- that's good. What did you do to make it better?
Sam- she uhh-
Lilliana- I should probably tell them...
Sam- it's your decision...
Lilliana- *sigh* ok, look

I sat down by Sam and looked at Emmett and Oliver. They looked confused.

Lilliana- I've had anorexia for a couple years...
Oliver- woah...
Emmett- really?...
Lilliana- yeah... it's getting better though, today I ate a bowl of salad, when for the past couple months I've only been able to eat an apple or two a day
Oliver- why didn't you tell us?
Lilliana- I didn't tell Sam either... I only told Kristy and Mary Anne... Kristy ended up telling her family and Watson, so that's how he found out, but I guess I just didn't tell anyone because I was scared to
Emmett- why were you scared? We're your best friends
Sam- the last time she told her best friend, she told her whole school.
Oliver- oh... we'd never do something like that...
Lilliana- I know... well at least I know that now
Emmett- good. We love you Lilli ok?
Lilliana- I love you guys too

Oliver and Emmett pulled me into a group hug. I laughed and hugged them both. We pulled out of the hug and sat back down next to Sam. I kissed his cheek and looked at the computer screen.

Lilliana- did you find anyone yet?
Oliver- we have a couple options, but it's good to have a few just in case one doesn't work out
Lilliana- smart
Emmett- we emailed a couple and told them our situation
Sam- now we just have to wait
Lilliana- what should we do in the meantime?
Oliver- I don't know

We sat in silence for a few minutes until I got a call on my phone. It was my mom.

Lilliana- mom?
Mom- where are you?
Lilliana- I'm at Sam's house. Why?
Mom- I had to make a doctors appointment for Stacey in a couple days
Lilliana- ok?
Mom- are you feeling fine?
Lilliana- yeah. I had a salad today
Mom- the whole bowl?
Lilliana- yeah
Mom- good. You're getting better
Lilliana- yup.
Mom- alright, I'll let you go but be home before sun down
Lilliana- ok

I hung up the phone and rolled my eyes. Stacey was definitely my mom's favorite child. My dad never really showed favoritism over Stacey and I. Or maybe he does... I don't know. Anyway, ever since Stacey got diagnosed with type one diabetes, she's pretty much all my mom cares about. It honestly upsets me because I don't get attention from my mom. I barely even see her anymore...

The last time I did was the night that Sam kissed my cheek for the first time. She always has work, and I'm always at Sam's or at school. Even when I am home my mom seems to be shopping for useless things.

I frowned and just put my phone down.

Emmett- who was that?
Lilliana- my mom.
Oliver- what did she want?
Lilliana- she called me to tell me she made a doctors appointment for Stacey in a couple days.
Sam- so she needs you to be home that day or...?
Lilliana- no. That's literally it
Oliver- oh. That's weird
Lilliana- Stacey's my mom's favorite child. It's obvious
Emmett- are you your dad's?
Lilliana- my dad pays attention to the both of us equally. Every time I'm home my mom's never there. She's usually shopping by herself or with Stacey
Sam- well, you've got us. If your mom doesn't want to be there for you then she doesn't. But we do.
Lilliana- that means a lot... but I should get going. Call me if anything happens
Oliver- will do
Emmett- bye Lilli
Lilliana- bye

I walked out of the garage and walked all the way back home. When I got inside I saw Stacey with mom watching a movie. Stacey looked at me and smiled and I just rolled my eyes and walked up to my room. I locked my door so no one could get in, and I sat down and just thought for a minute.

While thinking, somehow thoughts about my old friends came into my head so I thought I'd make a song about it. I'm talking about Alyssa and Carson... I've told you about Alyssa before, but I didn't tell you about Carson. Carson was gay, and of course I didn't mind. I loved him for who he was, not who he loved. His parents were big believers in God, and they followed the Bible. His father was abusive to him because he was gay. His parents barely took care of him to the point where he was always at my house. He ended up moving to California and I don't really talk to him anymore. And Alyssa... she dated this not very popular guy. He was really nice, but apparently he didn't meet her parents standards. Her parents were barely ever home so she took care of her younger brother by herself...

So here is my new song...

I propped my phone up on my desk and got my guitar. I started lightly strumming on the strings after I hit the record button.
