Ok ok ok so I saw this headcannon somewhere, but I can't find it again. Basically this isn't my original idea- it's inspired by someone who said that Harry Potter could be a Potter just for the pun.

And I realize this bends literally so much of the universe but I'm doing it for the pun and I feel like James would want that so here we go!

- James has a sign that says James Potter's POTTERy
-The entire store is full of puns
-He made a set with a teapot and cups and wrote 'the tea is going to get mugged' on them
-Everyone pretends to hate it
-The all groan when James shows them his latest pun but they have to hide their laughter
-Remus coughs to disguise his giggling because 'no Lily we can't encourage him n o I ' m nOT laughing'
-James is convinced Remus has asthma
-Once Sirius almost set fire to the whole kiln room
-James has banned him from getting within 7 feet of it now
-There are literally tapes that serve as the border
-Lily had to stop James from making a moat around his storage room
