Chapter 30 - Serum

Thomas's pov

"Now how about you help us get these tags off?" I said handing Teresa the scalpel.

I crouched in front of her and looked at her while I asked her. I watched as she tied up her hair and then I watched as she removed everyone's and I watched as they winced and hissed and held a tissue on the back for a while because of the blood. Everyone meaning, Aris, Charlie, Rob, Billy, Newt, Fry, and then Gally's. It was finally my turn. I sat on the chair with my back faced to her.

"Try to relax, this is going to sting" She said to me

"Just get it over with" I said

Gally removed the bloody tissue from his neck and threw it on the table.

"She enjoyed that" He said wincing

"Yeah you're probably right" Fry said

"Yeah she was decent" Newt said and threw us clothes to wear.

"Thanks Newt" Gally said

"Thanks Newt" Fry said 

Brenda's pov

I walked over to Jorge. He was leaning against the wall.

"Better get going old man" I said and tossed him the keys

"Long road ahead of you" I said

As he turned to look at me properly.

"You sure I can't talk you out of this?" He said to me

"It's your last chance" He said playing with the keys

"You know its not like you to shy away from a fight." I said

"Yeah its not like you to go looking for one." He said to me

"I just can't help but think that if I walk out that door, I'm never going to see you again. Since when do we go sticking our necks out for strangers?" Jorge said

"Alex, she's like my sister. She's family to me. She's my best friend. I was a stranger once too." I said and put my hand on his shoulders

We breathed heavily. 

"Just don't leave us hanging" I said and we laughed

"No" He said and smiled.

"Never" He said

We hugged each other tightly and warmly. He smiled and walked off. I'm going to miss him.

Thomas's pov

"She's looking good" Teresa said still working on my tag and looking at Brenda.

"Healthy. How have you been getting her serum?" Teresa said

"What are you talking about?" I said bored and confused

She sighed and continued working on the tag.

"Brenda, I didn't think shed still be alive" Teresa said

"When was her last treatment?" Teresa said

"The Right Arm, last time we saw you" I said

I felt her begin to pull the tag out and slightly stop when I said that.

"But that was months ago" Teresa said

She roughly puled out the tag and I pulled back and turned my chair to look at her shocked. I held the back of my neck.

"Thomas that's not possible" She said

"She should have turned by now" Teresa said

"There's no way she could possibly be-
