Chapter 6 - Back in time

Alexandra's pov

I followed Alby and Thomas and we sat near the hammocks. I sat on Thomas's lap stroking his hair and Alby sat next to us. He held me close and held one of my hands stroking it. Chuck was sat on the other side listening.

"So what happened to him?" Thomas said

"It's called the changing" Alby said

"It's what happens when someone gets stung" Alby said

"We haven't been able to get a clear word out of Ben since it happened. He's not making any sense and its only going to get worse. The infection is spreading. He's dangerous. What did he say to you?" Alby said

"He um he um" Thomas stuttered

"Tommy baby it's okay take your time" I said running my fingers through his hair

He smiled and nuzzled into me.

"He said he saw me and its all my fault" Thomas said

"How could this be my fault?" Thomas said

"Get some rest" He said to Thomas and patted his back.

"Alby" Thomas said

"Yeah?" Alby said

"What's going to happen to him?" Thomas said

He just stared at Thomas and I.

"Follow me" He said

Chuck left earlier. Thomas and I followed him to the front entrance of the maze and then we stood with some of the other Gladers. We saw Ben have his hands tied behind his head and Minho was behind him taking him to the other Gladers with the spears. Minho oh how I have missed him, I have so much to tell him.

"Listen to me, please listen to me" Ben growled out

"Please Minho" Ben said

They walked past Alby.

"Alby" Ben growled.

 Alby looked so upset but it had to be done to protect the rest of the Gladers here. Ben is my friend as well but I am not close to him like Alby so I can't imagine how hard it is for him right now. But I will miss Ben but he attacked my mate even though it wasn't his fault still but I will miss him a lot. I stood close to Thomas.

"Alex please" He said

Everyone looked at me.

"I'm sorry Ben this is out of my control" I said sadly tears forming in my eyes.

"Please tell them to stop. They'll listen to you. Tell Alby, Gally, Minho Newt and Frypan and Thomas to stop it" Ben begged

"Ben I can't, I'm sorry" I said

"You did this too me. I saw you there and you did this" Ben screamed at me

Minho cut the rope on his wrists and Ben fell to the ground wheezing and coughing up and kept begging me and I wanted to tell him to stay but he's too dangerous. Thomas kept me held tightly against him.

"Please, please, please don't do this" Ben begged

Minho stood in front of him and chucked some sort of bag or food I think and looked at Alby who nodded.

"Poles" Alby shouted

They pointed the poles and spears towards Ben who was moving backwards into the maze and begun to move closer. He tried to escape and was begging but they moved closer and he was going to be locked in there. The maze walls started to shut. I watched as he got trapped in there.
