Chapter 28 - Memory gone

Newt's pov

We walked back through the tunnel and made it back up through the entrance. We climbed up and we were helped up. Then we shut the metal lid back on top.

"Where's Alex?" Brenda said

"Did you leave here there?" Jorge said

"Newt? Gally? Thomas? Where is our mate?" Fry said

"She's got taken by WCKD" I said

"What and you left her?" Fry said angrily

"Hang on, we were climbing and she told us to go first and then she made Gally go before she did. The car came round and we told her to hurry up and climb but the men in the car saw her. They took her to WCKD head quarters." I said

"What?" Brenda screamed running at us

She started trying to get to us and Jorge grabbed her. She fought against him.

"They left her there, my best friend" She shouted

"We didn't have a choice. She told us to go" Thomas said

"How can you talk like that? Like you're fine, that she's gone?" Brenda said

"You think I am fine about her being taken away from me? No. I miss her every little bit. I wish I could go running in there and grab her as well as Minho but I can't. If I run in there unprepared I die. I can never see Alex again. I won't end up saving Minho and it will have been a waste. Do you think I wanted her to be taken? No. But I couldn't risk us being taken. We came back we are coming up with a plan to save them both" Thomas said

Fry had tears in his eyes as well as Jorge and Brenda.

"Now let's think of a plan" I said

We all walked to a room and stood up or sat down. 

"We found Teresa there and I say we use her as our way in" Gally said

"No" Thomas said

"There's got to be another way" Thomas said

"Like what?" Gally said

"You've seen the building. She's our only way in. You really think she's going to help us?" Thomas said

I just sat leaning against the table, thinking how to get our mate and our best friend out of there. I won't let them hurt Minho any more then they probably already have and I won't let them hurt Alex more than they probably will.

"I don't plan on asking for her permission" Gally said

"Am I missing something here? This is the same girl who betrayed us correct? Not only has she taken your best friend Minho away but now she has taken your mate my best friend away from into that WCKD building where they will do God knows what to her. I can't sit here and let that happen. Same dick?" Brenda said

Gally stood with his arms crossed.

"I like her" Gally said pointing to her

"What's going on?" Brenda said 

I just sat there biting my finger nails not sure what to do. I am not sure if we end up losing Minho and Alex. I can't lose neither of them. I can't lose both of them.

"What you afraid your little girlfriend's gonna get hurt?" I said looking at Thomas talking about Teresa

"She's not my girlfriend. Alex is my mate and I care about her" Thomas said

"Then why do you care if we use Teresa or not?" I shouted at him

"Admit it, you still care for Teresa" I said
