"Kiyoomi, how was school honey?" Amaya smiled softly as she watched her son walk through the front door.

"Okay." Sakusa shrugged softly and put his bag by the front door, heading to the kitchen where he had heard his mothers voice.

The younger Sakusa had stopped when he walked in the kitchen and glanced from the stool that was by the island counter that sat in the center of their kitchen to his mother who was prepping some things for dinner.

"I cleaned up, don't worry." She smiled softly at her son who nodded and struggled a little but took a seat.

"So," Sakusa watched as his mother cleaned off her hands and walked over to the island counter, leaning on it a little as she looked at him. "What'd you learn about today, hm?"

Sakusa was asked the same question every day, but he didn't mind answering it. There was never anything new that elementary students would be taught, just things they already learned but they'd gradually get a bit harder. Well, that's what Sakusa thought anyways.

Though that day was different as he'd heard a teachers conversation with a student about soulmates and part of it stuck with him.

"Same things," Sakusa shrugged once again, taking his mask off as he'd grown comfortable with it off around his mother. "But, Tora sensei said something about soulmates? While she was talking to a student."

The mention of soulmates made Amaya smile, she'd always hoped this kind of topic would come around. Her soul mate sadly passed, but she always stayed positive about it by thinking about how happy Sakusa would be with his own.

"Mhm, do you want to know about soulmates?" Amaya walked around the counter and taken a seat beside Sakusa, who thought about it for a moment, then nodded, he didn't see why not.

"Well Kiyo, a soulmate is someone you're destined to be with. Even if you two may not get along at first, in the end, there's no one you could be closer to." Amaya smiled seeing how Sakusa genuinely looked interested.

"Your soulmate is someone who'll care for you, whether in good times or bad, someone who understands your thoughts and feelings. No matter how different both of you are." Amaya held her smile as Sakusa nodded slowly.

"How do you know who they are?" Sakusa suddenly asked, making his mother paused.

"Well, you know how everyone's eyes are grey?" Amaya pointed to her own, and Sakusa nodded.

"You'll see colour in their eyes, and they'll see colour in yours." Sakusa sat a little stunned hearing this, like it was with most kids, he found the thought of finally seeing someone's eye colour almost magical.

"Really?" Sakusa smiled a little, something his mother didn't get out of him often.

"Mhm." Amaya nodded and Sakusa couldn't help but smile, thinking of the day he'd see anothers eye colour.

That day Kiyoomi learned about soulmates and how to tell them apart for the very first time, and for the very last.

"Hey boys, how was school?" Arisu asked the twins as they walked through the font door.

"Great! We learned about soulmates today!" Atsumu beamed simply at the memory of their teacher explaining it.

"Oh really?" The two's mother smiled as she walked out to the living room to greet them.

"Mhm, an' they told us how ya know they're yer soulmate, the thing about their eyes, right 'Tsumu?" Osamu looked to Atsumu, considering he knew the brunette had been paying more attention.

"Mhm!" Atsumu nodded, a bright smile plastered on his face. "The thing about yer eye colour, it sounds really cool."

Hearing that made Arisu chuckle, she was glad the two were thinking about soulmates in a positive manner. Her laughter subsided into a smile as she watched the twins then run off upstairs to their room. When they had gotten in their, Atsumu was already back on the topic of soulmates.

"Hey 'Samu, do ya ever think we're gonna find our soulmates?" Atsumu looked to his brother the best he could considering he was currently hanging off the edge of his bed, he had top bunk so it happened more than often.

"Everyone does 'Tsumu." Osamu gave a rather dull answer, making Atsumu frown a bit.

"That we know of, what if ya get unlucky an en' up without one?" Atsumu once again asked and Osamu shrugged.

"Why do ya care so much? You'll meet 'em some day so ya don't have to worry 'bout it." Osamu brushed it off but Atsumu just wouldn't, the thought of a soulmate excited him.

"I know but I want to meet mine now! I bet they're gonna be perfect, what do ya think 'Samu?"

Osamu shrugged once again. "They could also be really mean 'Tsumu, but I guess they'd fit ya perfectly then."

"Hey!" Atsumu let out a small huff while Osamu laughed. "Yer just mad because my soulmates gonna be better than yours!"

Osamu scoffed at that. "As if, mine's obviously gonna be better. I'm better, so I'm gonna get the best."

Atsumu rolled his eyes and laughed. "Ya wish 'Samu, if the best get the best, the mine's gonna be better than everyone's!"

Atsumu held a prideful smile while Osamu rolled his eyes. "Whatever ya say 'Tsumu, whatever ya say."

Atsumu held his smile at what he took as his win, and relaxed back onto his bed. He couldn't help but think of how he'd meet his soulmate and just how amazing they'd be.
