How do most rich Beverly kids spend their summer vacation? Traveling around the world, lounging on a yacht, or touring across the country for their music. But for Aaliyah Baker that wasn't the case, she spent her days working out, by running on the beach, she even made a new friend...someone who was definitely her support system through the tough summer. But, nothing stopped her from thinking about her ex-boyfriend. Her family had shortly found out about the break-up due to Jordan, who had found his sister in her room crying her eyes out, and eventually explaining everything that went down between her and JJ.

For JJ, he spent his summer living his best life, but the thought of the girl he loves loomed over his head daily. He was never able to shake the thought of her from his mind during the entire summer. The second he walked out of her house after breaking up with her he regretted it, but couldn't help but shake the jealousy that ran through his veins when he thought of Aaliyah and Asher. He knew he had no reason not to trust her but he couldn't help but feel insecure in his relationship, something that he wasn't used to feeling. Many people had assumed the couple had broken up because of their lack of posting but the ex-couple never deleted the pictures they had of each other off of their pages. The two just were not able to go through with deleting their posts of one another, an act that made the break-up seem even more permanent.

Aaliyah was dragged out of her house by her sister and her brother, who forced her to participate in painting the yellow letters on the floor of the school that spelled out Black Lives Matter, Beverly High's way of trying to show the black students that they cared. As the girl tried her best to ignore the shouts from Spencer and Chris who were clearly calling her name, she finally got fed up and walked over to them, making JJ walk away. Not wanting to be around his ex-girlfriend. "So, I see that's still not working out," Spencer said, pointing at JJ.

"We haven't spoken since the night he dumped me," she revealed, shrugging her shoulders. "Are you and you know who, still hanging out?" Chris asked, earning a curious glance from Spencer. "I'm sorry, who are you hanging out with?" Spencer questioned.

"Nobody," she said, glaring at Chris. "Did you get JJ's invite for his half-birthday party?" Spencer said, glancing over at the blonde whose eyes hadn't left his ex-girlfriend's body. "The fact that you're asking me that after I just told you he hasn't spoken to me since he dumped me. Is ridiculous," she sighed. "Yeah, dude. Read the room," Chris scoffed, making Spencer give the boy a playful glare and walk away. "Coming to Slauson Cafe, today?" Chris asked slinging an arm around the girl.

"If I keep spending my days there...People might start mistaking me for the owner," she giggled. "So, no. I'll be at home. But, you go have fun."

"They are not going to think you the owner. Miss. Beverly Hills," he teased.
