Chapter 74

ANNA's POV

I was zipping my dress when someone knocked on my door.

*knock! Knock!

"Anna, aren't you ready yet? It's almost 8." It's Tyler checking up on me. I opened my door just an inch and peeked outside.

"Oo, papunta na. Just give me another minute, I'll just grab my things."


"Sige. I'll just wait for you downstairs." I closed the door then heard footsteps descending the stairs. I sat on the edge of my bed.

"Hay. . .here comes judgement day."

Actually, 30 minutes na ang lumipas mula nung naka-ready na ako, but I can't seem to make myself go outside.

Ilang beses na ba akong tumingin sa salamin?

Ilang beses ko na bang kinausap ang sarili ko telling "It will be fine. I'm happy na I'm finally meeting "her". Finally, I can have this closure so I can live with my life."

Pero sino ba'ng niloloko ko? Eh kulang nalang mag-inarte ako na may sakit para lang hindi matuloy to'ng dinner date na to.

I remember the first time Tyler and I ate dinner together at that 5 star hotel. It was beyond embarassing. To think na I considered it as a "real" date kahit na simpleng dinner lang naman talaga yun sa kanya! And to think na ngayong magdi-dinner date nanaman kami, it is to introduce me to his girlfriend?! One sided love affair nanaman ang drama ko! I guess we are not meant to have dinner dates together. Or be together.

"Kaya ko to. Kaya ko to." paulit-ulit kong chant sa sarili.

I deep breathed, grabbed my things and looked at the mirror for the last time. "Anna, you look beautiful. And you are happy. Marami pang ibang lalake diyan." I smiled at the mirror as if trying to emphatize with myself. I grabbed all my courage and went out the door.

While descending the stairs, my heart is pounding fast in my chest. I felt conscious.

How do I look? Do I look fine? Baka hindi niya magustuhan yung suot ko.

When I reached the bottom floor, my heart seemed to stop beating.

Tyler's back was on me. He is wearing a long sleeved denim shirt and distressed jeans while I on the otherhand is wearing an above the knee, white lacey dress.

I looked at him from top to heel.

How can someone's back look so gorgeous?! Kung ganito na ang likod, paano nalang pag naka-harap na siya?
