Birthday | Jack Johnson

"Happy birthday, babygirl" you hear Jack's voice whisper into your ear as his arms wrap around your waist. You lean back closer to him and feel him plant kisses around your neck. "I have a surprise for you".

Slowly you turn around to see Jack holding a shopping bag in his hand. "What's that?" "Why won't you take a look" he replies while handing the back to you. Inside you can see a dress you have been wanting for a while now. "I remembered you telling me how much you loved it" he says proudly as he watches you smile.

Eagerly you try it on, letting Jack zip it up for you. You swirl around, admiring it from the mirror. "Thank you so much, this is perfect" you thank him as he leans on the door frame. He motions you to come closer, taking a hold of you hand and leading you outside.

Despite you constantly asking where you're headed, he keeps his mouth shut while driving. You can see him smirking but he just hums along to the radio. Soon you arrive at your destination which happens to be one of your favorite areas around where you live. You jump out of the car only to be greeted by the sun warming your skin.

Again Jack takes a hold of your hand, leading you to your favorite cafe. You take a seat outside and he orders your favorite foods. An hour easily flies by with you talking and enjoying the weather. After you've finished, you make your way between the little stalls places around the street. You stop by one to admire all the flowers. Knowing how much you love fresh flowers, Jack buys you a big bouquet.

After walking around for a good while, you decide to go back home. The whole car ride you make Jack rap basically anything that comes to your mind, making you laugh your ass off. Even though he knows he's making a complete fool of himself, he doesn't care because anything's worth seeing you happy.

You arrive at home and just as you're about to jump out of the car, Jack asks you to stay still. You wait for him to open the door for you like a gentleman and pick you up bridal style. You lightly giggle at his gesture, placing a few small kisses on his cheek. "And what do I need to do to get a kiss on the lips?" he asks playfully pouting. You roll your eyes but kiss him on the lips.

He places you back on the ground while searching for the right key. You can hear music play somewhere near but don't pay any attention to it. As Jack opens the door, you're greeted with Gilinsky, Sammy and Nate fooling around. They all stop to look at you before Sammy takes action and runs over to you. "There's the birthday girl!" he says while giving you a hug.

"What are you guys even doing in here?" you ask as your eyes scan through the balloons, drinks placed on the table and music blasting from your speakers. They all briefly glance at Johnson who's still standing behind you. "Preparing you birthday party, baby" Jack answers your question.

"What party?" you ask, excitement bubbling in your chest. "Surprise?" Gilinsky states chuckling and throws a balloon in the air. You laugh at him and turn around to go put your flowers in a vase. "In that case you better get into work" you jokingly state. They all continue their work and you go fix your makeup and hair.

Not too long after you hear the doorbell ring. You run to the door, welcoming everyone in. Your friends start flowing in, and you can't help but to wonder how the guys did such a great job. All of your best friends are here, they're playing your favorite songs and even the balloons are your favorite color.

You walk around, catching up with people and occasionally finding yourself on the dance floor. Time flies by yet again and soon it's getting dark. You feel someone's arms wrap around you body and you turn your head around to see Jack smiling at you.

"Enjoying yourself?" he questions. You nod your head as an answer and peck his lips. "Come here" he says and starts pulling you outside. There you can see a bunch of Chinese lanterns ready to be light. Grinning, you turn to Jack who has a wide smile on his face.

"I know you've dreamt of lighting these one day and I though it would be a cool idea to do that today" "So you're just making my dreams come true one by one?" you ask jokingly. "That's my job, babygirl".

He helps you light the lanterns and soon the sky is filled with them. As you admire the view, you hear people starting to sing Happy Birthday. You turn around to see a huge cake with lots of candles being carried towards you. You blow them all, hearing your friends cheer at you.

The whole day was more than you could have ever imagined and you were beyond amazed by everything Johnson had managed to arrange. To top off the day, he offered to a give you a massage which may or may not have lead to one last present from him.
