Beyond Lifeless Eyes is a tale about many things, but above all it is a tale about lines. The lines between realities, between right and wrong, between the individual and the group. But most of all it is about the lines people set down for themselves. In this issue, we are introduced to the near incomprehensible Geoffrey Hughes where we go gallivanting across time and space to make a few house calls. On the way our hero will encounter irritable clerks, an ancient battleground and, horror beyond horror, truly ghastly wallpaper. With enough foreshadowing to blot out the sun, the early issues may be a bit detached to begin with, but everything will start to come together after a while. So strap in folks and get ready for a wild wide, because we only have one gear and we've lost the steering wheel.
