Jae Woo is a college student in Seoul who is saddled with debt payments left behind by his deadbeat father. In order to pay off his family's debt, Jae Woo works as a bartender and sings under an aliace at a popular nightclub near his Univeristy and racing in underground motorbike races. On top of everything on his plate, his childhood friend and long-time crush, Ki-Jun, followed him from their home island of Jeju, due to taking up work in debt collecting. After pulling some strings, Ki-Jun became the man in charge of Jae Woo's debt and began to harass him for sexual favors in return for supposed leniency with payments. On his way to work one evening, Jae Woo encounters a young school boy in persuit by an angry dog and strange man that he claims not to recognize. With no other choice, Jae Woo rescues the boy and carries about his day after ensuring he was safely deposited at the nearest police station. Little did Jae Woo know just how much that heroic act would change the course of his future. A mysterious name began popping up in Jae Woo's daily life, though he had yet to meet the person who was buying all of the businesses around him, including the underground club that he raced in and nightclub he bartended and sang at. Hyun Sungmin was quickly implanting himself in Jae Woo's life, and it was only a matter of time before he swooped in and saved Jae Woo from the loan sharks that hounded him after their boss, Ki-Jun, was arrested because of him. Before he knew it, Jae Wo'o's debts to the thugs had been paid off in one foul swoop, but now he owed that money to one of the richest families in Seoul, instead. Despite being owed millions of Won, Hyun Sungmin seemed in no hurry to have the debtor repay him. Instead, he insits that Jae Woo graduate from the University of Seoul, then come work at his company in order to pay off the debt, instead of paying in installments with high interest. This graceful act came with a catch, of course- Jae Woo does anything he says.
