As the sun hid behind its twin moon casting upon its beam, spreading luminosity over the dark sky, she commanded her horse to bring her to the castle. Holding the reigns with her steady hands, she galloped away from the forest to talk to the new crowned Queen. Her father was the captain of the King's army who died in the war defending the Kingdom of Bulovia. Queen Mary will heed her plea. Ilena can never be a witch. She can only heal people from illnesses with herbs in their garden. That's not witchcraft! Kassandra tied the horse in a pasture a few meters away from the gate. The castle's entrance was open wide and the walkway was lighted up. As she came near, she heard a soldier asking about Ilena's daughter. Nobody spoke. She walked in the throngs of people witnessing the execution on stage. The sixteen year old girl gasped in horror as she saw her mother's head in the guillotine. Before the blade cut her head off, Ilena looked up. Amidst the thick crowd, her eyes glinted resting upon her daughter's.
