[ UNFINISHED] "Twenty five years. It had been nearly 25 years since the epidemic had first occurred." "Remembrance" is an apocalyptic narrative that tells the story of two young adults, named Michael and Elizabeth, who travel across the ruins of southern Texas in search of a colonized city. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it sounds. There are several dangerous and difficult obstacles standing in their way. First, there are the Infected. These are individual human beings who have contracted the Kuru disease, which has basically turned them into a cannibalistic, prion-controlled monsters who only have the desire to consume flesh. Next, there are the Masks. The Masks are groups of raiders that travel across the unprotected ruins of Texas in search for supplies, money, and the majority of the times, blood. Finally, there are the driving forces of insanity creeping in on them. With all of the killing and emotionally traumatic experiences they must face, how can anyone stay sane? Remembrance presents the themes of good and evil in one of the most thought-provoking, heart-pounding narratives of this genre. 2015. Santiago Balderas. All Rights Reserved
