The girl with a backstory is a book about a young teenage girl who had gone through many things in her life and at the end there is only one way to escape all of it, one place that makes her feel safe and one person who she will always have by her side. It will be a story with different times, some chapters will be in 2025 and some will be years before that. The exact month and year will appear by the chapter titles.

Meet Vanessa Carlton, former soldier, mom to 3 year old Wyatt, and now an IT something at a company." "Hey Vee, what does an IT person do?" "Why does everybody call us IT person? We have a job title..." "Which is?" "I'll get back to you on that one..." Vanessa says as she walks out of the room. "Well, that was Vanessa for you. She gets called up and kind of rolled back into the whole military thing when her team goes missing. But that is just part of her story." The author continues as she smiles at everybody. "Vee is kind of like all of us, she does not know what she is doing with her life, thinks she has it all together only to find out she doesn't. Add to that a baby, and the duty of saving people's lives... you get life in THIS IS LIFE."

Simply Me is about my life and the ups and downs of it. As one becomes more mature, he/she finds it harder to ignore the need to identify the meaning of his/her own existence. Why do we exist? We can go all wild about this philosophical question, but what's the point? To carry on, one needs at least one purpose and abundant motivation. But not everyone knows his/her life purpose or life passion. Yet, these things can only come when a strong motivation exist. What if one can't find any motivation, to even begin?
