Mickey and Ian meet years after breaking up in season 5. Mickey didn't go to prison in season five they only broke up. This story is based around the time of season 9. So Mickey and Ian have been broken up roughly 4 years. Now Mickey has a daughter, Carmen who is one year old at the start of this story. Carmen is what was missing in their lives all along. Carmens mother is not a character in this story but she is very briefly mentioned. CHILD ABUSE IS MENTIONED IN THIS STORY This is a sequel to my other story: Heartache to heartache. You dont need to read part 1 to understand this story. Carmen, raised by her protective dads Ian and Mickey. Carmen is loyal and fiercely protective of those she loves and she is unafraid to challenge danger. She hates Lincoln Gilbert with a passion from the moment she meets him. But will it last very long? Mickey is Carmen's biological father and Ian is her stepdad who adopted her when she was six just after they Mickey and Ian got married. Carmen's mother is not mentioned in this story. this is not a super long story. it's a simple short story with like 10 chapters. Odessa has been in the foster care system since she was 5. After being there for so long she never had hope she would get adopted. That was until she met Sheila Jackson.

Disclaimer I do not own any of the Shameless cast nor do I own the show. Also Ian and Mickey aren't together in this. Also Ian is still gay but he's not with Mickey there just really good friends.

mickey disappears , and with him being the only one to help ian with his bipolar disorder , ian suffers another episode . lip tries his best to look after ian and help him , but no luck . lip takes ian to a club and everything is great , ian is smiling for once . but what will happen when a familiar face shows up?

A pair of aberrant clergymen, a young trainee waiting to take his vows, and a child-psychic-turned-promiscuous-con-woman, plus last-minute adoptions to the team in the form of a maudlin ambulance driver in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a skittish and frocked extemporely interloper, the mission to search for and eradicate the cause in influx of apparent possessions spreading across the country grows wild beyond comprehension. And that's before getting into the papal foot-note which casually mentions bringing all of Heaven's Holy Might down upon a cult claiming they are led by Jesus Christ's twin. Needless to say, when the group of seven end up travelling around the country in a battered Winnebago, fighting the potential end of the world is at the bottom of the list of gripes when it comes to dealing with ignorant law enforcement, impersonating high-ranking men of the cloth, obnoxious car-karaoke warblers, unprofessional agents of Hell, suspicious bumpkins, being stuck in small spaces with a bi-polar demon-bitch, and deciding who gets to use the bathroom first. Regardless of personal ideals and the obvious tension caused by the scars they live to hide, the group's pasts intrude on each other when they quickly find that they are more alike than they care to admit.

When Mickey comes back from Mexico, he decides to become hard to get.
