This story is a AU of Carl Gallagher coming outta juvie but before he left he met an interesting soul, named Ashtray. Ashtray was in there for the murderer of two guys he was put In there at age 13 but was released for over crowding, he served two years so when he is released he is 15. Carl was in there for a drug run gone wrong only served a year so he was 14, turning 15 soon. Ash stayed with Carl for awhile and his chaotic family who was different from his 'family' back home. The two become close, go to school together till someone finds Ashtray, will Carl lose his bsf or will he not?

Lottie Ball lived on the South Side of Chicago with her dad and stepmother. Life was never easy especially when you're poor and live on a dangerous side of town, but being next door to the Gallaghers always seemed to lighten the load when things got hard. Along with a young girl who comes from a violent family and Lottie sort of grows very fond of, taking her in like a little sister. Kayleigh Milkovich hated her life and how she was brought into the world, which is why she pushed herself so hard in school-graduation meant escaping her violent thug of a father and her neglectful mother, a prostitute who never cared about her own child. She loved her overprotective older siblings because they made her feel safe, but still spent most of her time at the Gallaghers' to escape her toxic, suffocating home and to be around Lottie Ball, an older girl she looked up to as a role model and big sister.
