When she heard she got an internship at Seattle Grace she immediately took the chance to find a house for her and her siblings, that was when she ran into her biological grandfather who offered his house for her that way he can live in a retirement home. She made Frank and Monica sign away their rights to her siblings and managed to take them to Seattle with her and hoped to start a new. She has no idea that she would make many friends who will be willing to help her through the process.

Terry Milkovich, was found dead in an abandoned building a few blocks from his home. The main suspect, Frank Gallagher committed suicide just before being arrested, leaving his children to manage alone the consequences of his gesture. Although everyone seems convinced of Frank's guilt, the detective who led the investigation never managed to accept his confession letter and close the investigation.
