CULLEN'S ONLY JUST woken up when her phone begins ringing. "Hello?"

"Cullen." A light familiar voice responds.

"Davina." Cullen sits up, now wide awake. "Where the hell have you been? I've been trying to call you since I found out about Mikael. Thanks for that by the way."

"I'm sorry." Davina responds, though she knew Cullen meant no harm. "Things got a bit out of hand and I had to get away. And I- I just needed to talk to someone. Marcel and Cami have both been busy and I know your busy handling the witches-"

"It's alright." Cullen stops her, knowing what it was like to be alone. At this point the only other witch Cullen trusted was Davina, even with the whole Mikael resurrection bit. "I'm just glad you're okay."

"Yeah." Davina hums. "I'm okay." With that small sentiment the younger witch hangs up, leaving Cullen to start her morning. Of course that couldn't happen until she had at least one interaction with a Mikaelson brother.

"Where is my brother?" Elijah questions, entering Cullen's room without knocking.

Cullen sighs, reaching for her phone. "I'll check his calendar... Wait, no. Not his wife, so..."

"Cullen, this city is under siege by an army of beasts following my deranged mother's every command. Now, considering it's your people who have the most control, now's not the best time for your particular brand of sass." Elijah drawls.

"Your mother and her idiotic witches are not my people." Cullen quips, standing from her bed. "And I guess I can look for Klaus, I'll text you when I find him." Accepting her response Elijah nods, exiting her bedroom. Cullen shakes her head as she reaches for a change of clothes, muttering to herself. "Good morning to you too, Cullen."

-

After a simple locator spell Cullen was able to find Klaus, he himself was searching for any un-loyal witch that would be willing to help him find Davina. "Hey." Cullen calls, gaining Klaus' attention as he exits one of the many voodoo shops in New Orleans. "What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to find a witch to perform a locator spell for me." Klaus tells her as she falls into line next to him.

"Locator spell for what?" Cullen questions.

Klaus smirks, glancing towards her as the continue down the busy street. "Not what. Who. I'm trying to find Davina."

"What do you plan on doing if you find her?" Cullen asks, trying to decide whether or not she should tell him that she had spoken to Davina earlier.

"Well, the way I see it, if Davina wants to use Mikael to kill me, we just have two options. One, you help me find her and then you reason with her. Two? Well, I don't think you'd like two very much." Klaus smiles.

Cullen takes a deep breath before finally giving in. "Fine. Lets go." Before Klaus can walk away she grabs ahold of his arm. "If we are going to do this, I need a drink first."

-

"You said one drink." Klaus exclaims, entering the busy bar. "You told me to wait in the car. Do you not remember the urgency of this endeavor?"

Cullen rolls her eyes at his words. "What is your plan anyway? Threaten a teenage girl until she gives you your daddy back?"

Klaus decides to indulge her, pulling up a chair to sit across from Cullen. "I've taken precautions." Klaus smirks, showing the heretic Papa Tunde's knife.

"Oh, goody." Cullen drawls, remembering when the cursed object was in Klaus. "Papa Tunde's Mystical-Knife-of-Ludicrous-Torment. Glad that's still around."

"You know, my parents dedicated their lives to making me feel weak and afraid. I've killed them once already. I can do it again." Klaus remarks, getting up from his seat.

"Klaus, wait." Cullen stops him before he can make a break towards the door. "I promise we will find your father and Davina...but can we just be here for a minute." Klaus looks at her skeptically, trying to figure out why she wanted to stay in the bar. "Just-just dance with me." Cullen shrugs, pulling Klaus to an area of open space.

"You want to dance?" Klaus questions, arching an eyebrow, yet still taking Cullen's hands in his.

"Not really." Cullen shakes her head as they begin to sway to the slow song playing throughout the bar. "But I miss Hope today, more than usual. I guess I just want to be around someone who reminds me of her." Klaus is shocked by Cullen's words, it's definitely not what he expected her to say, but he didn't tell her that because he knows how she feels, instead he pulls her closer, resting the side of his face against hers as they continue to hold one another.

After a couple minutes of quiet between them, besides the music and the light chatter of other people, they pull apart; only inches separating their lips. Neither of them move, enjoying the closeness between them. When the song finally changes its enough to snap them out of their moment, both of them stepping away from each other. "I guess it's time to go." Cullen mumbles.

"Yes." Klaus nods. "Unfortunately it is."

-

After casting a locator spell and breaking through Davina's wards Cullen was able to locate the teen witch. Her and Mikael were staying in her families cabin only a couple of miles from the church she used to live in. Klaus wasted no time getting on the road, now with a map that led to the cabin.

It was dark by the time they reached their location, both of them getting out of the car to look around. "I don't see anything." Cullen exclaims, looking into the building. "Just a whole lot of candles."

"Witches and their candles." Klaus drawls, a small smile on his face as he glances towards Cullen, knowing her room was filled with them as well. Cullen lets out a small laugh at his comment, shaking her head as she steps down from the cabin to make her way back to the car.

"I don't think they're here." Cullen announces. "They might have left."

"No." Klaus mumbles, walking a bit into the woods to pull a wooden staff out of the ground. "They are here." Before Cullen can question him Klaus sends the staff flying through the air, right into the cabin window.

"Klaus." Cullen's eyes widen, not having expected the sudden sound of glass shattering.

"Enough games, Davina." Klaus yells, ignoring Cullen. "Send out my father. Let's finish this." When nothing happens Klaus continues. "Davina! Is this not why you brought him for? I'm not afraid."

They continue to wait, Cullen tensing when she hears the front door creak open. "Hello, boy." Mikael greets. "You seem rather impatient. Are you so eager to meet your end?" Almost as if he just noticed her, Mikael looks towards Cullen, an evil smirk on his face. "And I see you've brought company. Did you bring her here so she can die too? Two abominations, one stone."

Klaus grows angrier at Mikael's mention of Cullen. "I'm only eager to stand over your burning corpse again. Only this time, I intend to enjoy it more."

"I've traveled all the way back from hell for this moment." Mikael drawls, moving to stand in front of Klaus.

"Well, then." Klaus grins. "I'd hate to keep you waiting." Cullen's stands back a bit watching as Klaus lunges for his father. Her hands itched as she watched the fight continue, both men having the upper hand at one point. Just as Mikael is able to get ahold of Klaus, reaching for the white oak stake Cullen intervenes. Narrowing her eyes in concentration as she moves her head slightly, sending Mikael back, flying through the air. With the older man on the ground Klaus speeds towards him, shoving Papa Tunde's blade into his chest. Mikael lets out a scream of pain as the blade embeds itself into his body. Though that doesn't seem to faze Klaus as he brushes his clothes off, ridding himself of the dirt that gathered on him during the fight. Klaus turns to Cullen, a smirk on his face. "Thank you, love."

Cullen nods, glancing from Mikael's immobile form to the cabin. "Lets go find Davina." Klaus hums in agreement, picking up Mikael's body and placing it into the back of his car before the pair walks up to the cabin. "Davina." Cullen calls, taking a tentative step into the house. She stops when she hears a grunt, turning to see Klaus was stuck at the door way.

"Davina must have invited you in." Klaus claims.

"She's hurt." An unfamiliar voice interrupts. "You have to help her."

At the strangers words, Cullen turns away from Klaus, eyes widening when she sees Davina's knocked out. After checking the younger girl out Cullen turns to Klaus. "We should get her to a hospital."

"Oh. Hello, darling." The stranger begins, looking towards Klaus. "Back to huff and puff and blow the house down?"

"You know, it's funny how often a person's sharp tongue can end up cutting their own throat." Klaus quips.

"Klaus." Cullen warns. "He's just a kid. Give him a break."

"Yeah, she's right." The stranger nods. "You know, you may want to try a bit of lavender under your pillow. Does wonders for stuck-up pillocks with anger issues."

"Hey." Cullen snaps, tired of his attitude towards Klaus. "Shut it."

"I promised not to kill Davina. I said nothing of this insolent sod." Klaus exclaims.

Cullen stands from her crouched position near Davina. "Klaus, come on." She pulls him away from the doorway so they can have some privacy on the porch. "Lets get this night over with. We need to take her to a hospital, I don't know whats all wrong with her so I can't help her."

Klaus nods, handing Cullen the keys. "Go get the car."

Cullen takes the keys, squeezing Klaus' arm as she passes him. When she reaches the car she stops, feeling that something is off. Walking around to the back of the car she freezes when she sees the trunk is open. "Well, that's not good." She feels hands grip the side of her head and before she knows it the world around her goes black.
