John gets on his knees. "Sera...?"
He lifts her up.
"Hey...! HEY! SERA! WAKE UP! WHAT HAPPENED?" John yells. He notices the blood stain. 'She's bleeding..? How is that possible? Damn it!'
He grabs Seraphina's phone and looks at her contacts. He dials Elanie number.
*Elaine's Room*
Elanie sees Seraphina calling. She answers. "Hey Seraphina! Are you all packed up?"
"Elaine!" John speaks. "Quick, I need you to come over right away! Sera's-"
Elaine ends the call. John calls again.
"EEK!" Elanie looks nervous. 'Just leave me alone!'
*John's Place*
'DAMN IT, ELAINE! JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU!' John screams in his mind.
He looks at Arlo's contact and calls him. Arlo answers.
"Seraphina? What is it?" Arlo answers.
"Arlo. Grab Elaine and come to my place. Now." John says.
"Why? What happened-?" Arlo asks before John screams at him.
"JUST DO IT!" John yells.
John ends the call.
The male speeds around Wellston. People felt a gush of wind pass by. The people looked confused. As the male speeds around the corner, a punch is sent towards the male. The male stops and catches it.
"Lex!?" Zane says in surprise.
"Zane? Zari?" Lex says in surprise. "Not who I expect to find."
"What are you doing here?" Zane asks.
"Well since I found you instead of Otto. I might as well tell you. Mrs.Lance or your mother if you prefer, sent me to Wellston. I was looking for Otto because I needed to deliver the check to Otto's parents." Lex says as he reaches for his sweater pocket and takes out an envelop.
Zari snatches the envelop and looks at it. "He's telling the truth."
"You guys still mad at me about the last mission we been in together?" Lex asks.
"Of course! Your reckless ass had gotten Mari killed back in New Boston!" Zane says in anger.
"And you don't think I don't regret my actions that caused her death? I was... I CARED ABOUT HER MORE THAN A FRIEND. I loved her. She was gonna be my girlfriend after that mission! She knew I liked her. We promised we would date after the mission...." Lex says with a guilty face.
"But it's too late. She's gone. That's why mother pulled you out of the group on that day." Zari says.
"I know. I was punished for my actions. I never cared about anyone but myself. It led to the girl I loved, dead right before me." Lex says.
Lex lets go of Zane's fist.
"If that's all. You can leave." Zane says.
"Sorry. I can't. Your mother told me the other day I was joining back into the group." Lex says.
"WHAT!" Zane and Zari shout.
"Want proof?" Lex says as he takes out a folded paper.
Zane snatches the folded paper and opens it.
Dear Zane and Zari,
I know that two years ago, Mari died because of Lex's reckless action. But, he will be joining back into the group. If you don't like it, deal with it. You and the group can't be mad at him forever. Sure, he's still kinda the same but he did learn his actions. Which is why, he must OBEY your orders. If he doesn't, you WILL report to me at once. No excuses!

"That really is mother's signature on the paper." Zari says.
"And her hand writing." Zane says.
"Okay Lex. Tell us, what were you doing while being at Wellston?" Zari says.
"*sigh* Well, I got off the airport. Look at the restaurants. Explored the park a bit. I was passing by a girl talking to a woman but something felt off about it. I noticed the woman was shaking and lying to the girl so I followed her. When I confronted her, I heard a honk and a crash. Though, I never care to look since I was dealing with the woman. Since she wouldn't answer my questions cuz I could tell she would die than rather tell me so I crushed her heart." Lex says.
"Wow! Your still acting reckless. You should've brought her with you." Zari says.
"Well, I masked my face and checked out the crash. Apparently, the girl the woman was talking too, was ambushed. They injected her with something. I noticed that her ability was like... wearing off or something like that. After she defeated them and left. I searched the people's van and found nothing. So I just killed the three people that attacked her." Lex adds.
"Who was this girl?" Zane asks.
"Some purple hair girl with green spots." Lex shrugs. "Oh! When I had my ability activated, she was able to stop time. I wasn't affected because of my ability."
Zane and Zari widen her eyes.
"YOU IDIOT! That girl is one of us! Mother recruited her two days ago!" Zane shouts.
"What?!" Lex says in surprise.
"You didn't know?" Zari asks.
"No I didn't. Your mother didn't tell me." Lex replies.
"Ahhh shit! Of course. She expected me and Zari to let you in on the new recruits. She would've never expect this to happen!" Zane says.
"Well I followed the injured girl to a house. But I was watching, a man with black hair entered. He seemed to know her." Lex says.
"John! He's one of us too." Zari says.
"Dammit! I gotta call the others." Zane says.
"Lex, we'll you off the hook this time because you didn't know who she was. However, the next time you see someone injured, help them. Is that understood? Unless, you want them to die like Mari did." Zari says angrily.
Lex looks surprised and frowns. "No. I wouldn't. Sorry."
"Everyone! I want all of you to head to Otto's place immediately. Otto, wear your arms. Amy, don't forget to bring Rosa. The rest of you wear your outfits. Marlize, I want you to ask Mr.Octavius to get all of you to John's place. I'll send the address once I see the situation myself. Also, Lex is here. I'll answer questions later. Everyone understands?!" Zane says on the phone.
"YES!" Everyone replies on the phone.
Zane hangs up and looks at Lex. "Let's go. You'll speed us there since me and Zari don't wanna attract attention."
"Fine." Lex says.
Lex turns around. Zari and Zane grab Lex's shoulder and their eyes glow. Lex activates his ability and speeds away.
*John's place*
John moves Seraphina's head to the side. Her neck shows a needle hole.
Elaine and Arlo look surprised.
'What? Even I couldn't detect that cut.' Elaine thinks
"What the hell is this?" John asks.
"A needle. Maybe she was drugged. That's why she's not waking up. But how did they manage to catch her?" Arlo asks.
At that moment, the door busts open and they feel a gust of wind. John gets up quickly. Arlo turns to the door and Elaine looks nervous. They see Zane and Zari with a male.
"John! It's just us!" Zari says.
Zane looks at Seraphina. "Is she okay?"
Lex closes the door.
"Arlo thinks she was drugged." John says as he kneels down and heals the cut.
"Well, the guy with us saw it happened. He was there. Right Lex?" Zane says as he looks at him.
"Yeah." Lex replies.
"What?! And you didn't help HER!?" John says as he rushes towards Lex and pins him to the door.
"John!" Zari calls out.
"Get your hands off of me." Lex says in anger.
"ENOUGH!" Zane shouts.
Zane walks towards John and Lex. Zane grabs John.
"Get off of me Zane." John says.
"Calm down unless you want me to use force." Zane says.
Arlo and Elaine look surprised at Zane's tone.
John let's go of Lex.
"Lex, explain before John gets angry again." Zane says.
"Alright. I noticed a woman talking to the girl. But something felt off. It felt like my body was shaking for some reason. I followed the woman since she seemed suspicious. When I was talking to her, I heard a honk follow up by a crash. I didn't bother to look away since I figured the female would run. Since she wouldn't tell me anything, I killed her by crushing her heart." Lex says with a serious tone.
John, Arlo and Elaine look shocked.
"After that, I speed towards the crash. I had my face covered and watch the fight happened. The girl was fighting four people. One of them injected her with a needle. And luckily for me, I picked it up as I speed away. I followed the girl to this place. I was watching until I saw you enter. So I left. I ran into Zane and Zari and told them." Lex says.
"You didn't mention the needle or what they injected her with." Zari says.
"I didn't know what they injected her with. But all I know that her ability was like disappearing or stopped working. It was almost as they removed it or suppressed it." Lex says. "Look."
Lex takes out an empty needle with small liquid droplets. Zane grabs the needle.
"Otto will look at this." Zane says.
"Wait. Zane, remember when Marlize said that she learned about amplifiers and suppressors. What if this is an ability suppressors." Zari says.
"Right. That make sense. You were there John. Remember the meeting you and Seraphina were there together when you first meet the others." Zane says.
"Yeah I do." John says.
"I called the rest. I'll send them the address. Mr.Octavius will bring them shorty." Zane says.
John nods." I'll take Sera to my room. I guess I'm glad you killed them. But I still want to know who sent them."
"Marlize will check up the data. So wait until then." Zari says.
John nods and carries Seraphina. He walks towards his room.
"Erm. Hey-!" Elaine says before getting grab by Arlo. "Huh?"
"Just... Leave him." Arlo says.
Elaine nods. The two look at Zane, Zari and Lex.
"Zane." Arlo calls out.
"What?" Zane says.
"Are John and Seraphina-" Arlo gets cut off.
"Yes. They are one of us. Seraphina still doesn't know about John's secret. He told us during the meeting when Seraphina was suspended." Zane states.
"That explains how you and Zari know." Arlo says.
"I suggest you leave. We can handle it from here." Zari says.
"No! I'm worried about Seraphina." Elaine says.
"I can speed them outta here if you want." Lex says.
"No. It's fine. It's understandable that they are worried about her." Zane says.
*Small Time Skip*
Arlo, Lex, Zane, Zari and Elaine were waiting.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
Zari gets up and opens the door.
"Come on." Zari says.
Otto, Marlize, Amy, Marik, Iris, Rosa and Mr.Octavius enter. Zari closes the door. They look to see Lex, Arlo and Elaine.
"LEX!" Marlize yells as she grabs him by his shirt.
"Marlize. H-" Lex gets cut off.
"I should squash you like the bug you are." Marlize says in anger.
Arlo and Elaine notice the anger in Marlize eyes.
"Marlize. Enough. We can deal with Lex later. Right now, he's working with us. Mother sent him here to join back in the group once again." Zane says.
Marlize lets go of Lex.
"And who are these two?" Amy asks.
"Arlo and Elaine. Wellston's King and Healer." Zari replies.
"Otto, Lex found this needle. I need you examine it." Zane says.
"I mean I can but it's best if I let my sister, Mili and Zack check it out back at home." Otto says.
"Don't worry Zane. I'll make sure this is safely given to Rosita."Mr.Octavius says.
"Alright." Zane nods.
He gives the needle to Mr.Octavius.
"I'll notify your mother about this." Mr.Octavius says.
"Understood." Zane says.
Mr.Octavius leaves. As the door closes, Arlo and Elaine look at them.
"Arlo, Elaine, these people are working with me and Zari." Zane says.
"And how strong are they?" Arlo asks.
"It's not your concern man. We got work to do. Where's Seraphina and John?" Marlize asks.
"In his room." Zari replies.
"I'll take you to them." Zane says.
Zane, Marlize, Iris and Otto go to John's room. Zane knocks on the door.
"John. The rest are here. Otto, Iris and Otto want to check Seraphina." Zane says.
"Come in." John says from the other side.
They enter. Otto look surprised.
"Mind if I take a blood sample?" Otto asks John.
"If it will help her." John says.
"It will in the future." Otto says.
The mechanical arms appear and one of the arms opens a lid. Otto takes out a needle. Otto pokes Seraphina's arm and takes out some blood. He removes the needle.
"Rosa!" Zane calls out.
Rosa rushes in and looks at Seraphina. "Oh my god."
"Rosa. Heal Seraphina. Otto took some blood out." Zane says.
Rosa nods and puts Seraphina in a healing barrier.
"John. Mind if I use your computer? I need to go to my personal account and review my notes." Marlize says.
"Sure." John says as he gets up and grabs his computer.
He gives it to Marlize. Marlize and Otto walk out of the room. Arlo and Elaine see Marlize and Otto. The two widen their eyes on Otto's mechanical arms.
"Did you get a blood sample?" Zari asks.
"Yes. Rosa is in there healing Seraphina. Marlize and I are gonna see anything about this." Otto says.
"Alright." Zari nods.
"What are those things?" Elaine says as she points at the mechanical arms.
"Mechanical arms. Otto uses them for many things. Since he doesn't have an ability." Zari says.
"He's an actual cripple?" Arlo asks.
"Yes. But those arms have the strength of an elite-tier right now." Zari says. "Also, you are not to tell anyone about this. Unless you want targets in the back of your heads." Zari states in a serious tone.
"We'll keep our mouth shuts. right Elaine?" Arlo says.
Elaine says the seriousness in Zari's face. She nods.
