Our jaws dropped after Kurama told us what Kakashi's gift was.
"Wait wait wait let me get this straight. You want to put the other half of your chakra into me? Can I get another reason why besides the ones you've named off?!" Kakashi asked while still processing everything.
"I don't think I have any other reasons. I know you'll be responsible when using it and I think you'd put it to better use than the brat I have now." Kurama laughs while I yell at him for his smartass reason.
"Haha but you know I'm right Naruto, you barely use half of the chakra I have right now. There's no reason for you to have the rest if it'll go to waste." I stuttered trying to come with a retaliation but fail. "So Kura how do we even give it to him?"
"For a brief moment you'll absorb the rest of my chakra from your dad and then link it into Kakashi. Once that's done we put an 8 trigram seal on him just like the one you have. That way it'll be sealed within him personally."
Kakashi's pov
"So after that happens will I be able to communicate with you in my head like Naruto?" I ask. "Yes you two will also be able to talk telepathically since my chakra is linked within the both of you." "That's so cool!" Naruto shouted as I smile at his excitement.
He started absorbing the rest of Kurama's chakra from within his father. Once he does he immediately starts transferring it inside me. "Brace yourself Kakashi-nii." He warned me with a smile. He lets half of the chakra surge from him to me.
This chakra..is so immense. No wonder Naruto doesn't use much of it, there's too much to use on a single mission alone. I thought as I feel the power of the chakra move throughout my body.
Once all the chakra is within me it forms a chakra cloak with fox like ears and a tail.
"That's also what my chakra looks like when not sealed within someone but it's linked with them." I flinch as I here his voice in my head. "Okay Naruto use the seal."
Naruto prepares the seal but asked me a quick question. "Where do you want the seal Kakashi-nii?"
"You can put it on my back." I say as he strikes my back with the seal. As soon as he does the chakra cloak starts disappearing into the seal.
"Okay Kakashi-nii close your eyes and focus once you do so, then open them." I start to close my eyes for a seconds and opens them to see myself in a sewer like place. 'Where the heck am I? Wasn't I just with Naruto?' I look around until I hear Kurama's voice.
"You took less time than Naruto to find this place, impressive." I follow the sound of his voice until I come across a room where he was sitting. 'I gotta say you're a lot bigger than I expected.' I sweat-dropped. "Yeah I suppose compared to you humans."
'So this is what it's like when Naruto talks to you.' I say while trying to get used to the time space. 'Yep you got it.' A voice called out as I quickly turned around to see Naruto standing behind me.
'So I guess I can see you in here too Naru-chan.' He smiles and nods as he explains where we are.
'It's called the time space. You don't need to come in here to talk to Kura or me but you can if you want and the same goes for us when talking telepathically. He can hear what you think but he's asleep most of the time so I doubt he'd even listen. You'll have an easier time coming to and from this place with a little practice and even though I'd personally learn medical nin, he can heal lots of injuries but it uses his own chakra.'
I stood there for a few seconds before understanding everything Naruto just said but I think I have basis down. I close my eyes and went back to seeing the real world. 'Testing testing, can you hear me Kashi-nii?' I hear Naruto's voice in head which shows the link works. 'Yep loud and clear Naru-chan.' I say while getting used to Kurama's chakra.
'Good and when you want talk to me like this you have to intentionally try talking to me like this using the link. So if you say something in your head but you're not trying to say it to me I won't be able to hear it, only Kurama will.' I nod my head as an idea suddenly came across my mind which made me internally smile.
'Ah I see. That works for me. Oh and later on tonight we should got to the Hokage's office but for now how about some training?' I ask Naruto, hoping to get grasp at the new amount of chakra and maybe learn a few jutsus. 'Sounds great to me.' Naruto agrees as we move to the training area.
"Ugh imma get a headache and no sleep from you guy's talking." Kura says annoyed as we laugh it off and shunshined to the training area.
(Time skip later that night) 3rd pov
Naruto and Kakashi stopped training after realizing how late it got and how tired Kakashi was. "Yeah the first day with his chakra does hit the hardest." Naruto warns Kakashi even though he knew his warning was very late as they both went through at least four hours of training. "Yeah..no kidding." Kakashi huffed trying to catch his breath.
"Well it's still impressive especially since you're still a teen Kashi-nii." "Well a kid is more impressive than a teen Naru-chan." Quickly countering Naruto's words.
"Well you got me there but you still learned a lot. You used your own shadow clones and got to learn level 2 medical nin., more high rank jutsus in different elements, etc." Naruto grinned while reassuring Kakashi.
"Well I had a great teacher to help me out right Naru-chan?" Kakashi says in his sly questioning voice. "Well of course Kakashi-nii." He chuckled while getting ready to see the Hokage.
"Wait Naruto since you're teaching me this are you learning anything right now? Even though you used a clone to teach me I didn't see anything from you or your other clones in the forest." Kakashi says curiously.
"Yeah I'm still learning new things like stronger and more unique skills like seals along with a high enough medical nin. to help me fight off any poisons." Kakashi unintentionally thought about the other night and figured that was one of the reasons he was learning this stuff but continued listening.
"But since I mastered four of the five basic nature's I want to learn the special techniques my parents had along with a kekkei genkai or two for fun." Naruto smiled at Kakashi as he sighed in return.
"I'm sure you'll be able to master all of them." Kakashi says while ruffling his hair. "Let's go the Hokage's office. You see, I have a surprise for you also." This info peeked Naruto's interests and curiosity as they both shunshined away.
(In the Hokage's office) Naruto's pov
We arrive into the Hokage's office as he sent his guards away. Once they leave we both take of our masks off and bowed before him.
"So the reason I called you both in here is mainly for Naruto. I know why you're here Kakashi so I'll be straight to the point. Naruto I have people rebuilding your apartment tomorrow, but you won't be in it. Also remember our deal we had?" I looked at him confused but I continued listening.
"Well consider what Kakashi is about to say another late birthday present from me and him." I continued looking confused as Kakashi kneeled down to my height.
"Naruto, as you know I see you as my little brother and since I do, no matter how strong you are I always want to make sure your safe and I'll be able to reach you easily, so for your late birthday gift..would you like join my anbu team and come live with me?" He asks as I gasped and turned to the Hokage and then back at Kakashi-nii. I smiled brightly and hugged him while saying yes repeatedly.
As I do this I suddenly think. 'Wait what if the villagers try attacking me? That'll put you at risk and I don't want to see your house end up like mine.' I let go and looked down. When I did, even though he didn't read my mind, he knew what was going through it.
"Don't worry Naru-chan. We've decided to live in the Namikaze house your dad owned in part of the forest of death where we train so no normal person will find us. The Hokage also made that area off limits to everyone but us unless given permission so nobody could enter even if they wanted to." He reassured me as I sigh in relief.
"So I'm guessing that's still a yes?" He asked once again. "Of course Kashi-nii I can't wait!" I give them both a smile and small laugh.
"Also to make it believable you should have a clone go into your apartment like you still live there to drive them off your trail." Jiji suggested. I shook my head in agreement then glanced at Kakashi. 'We should tell him about Kura, Kakashi-nii.' Kakashi flinched since he forgot but the Hokage noticed it. "Is there something wrong Kakashi?" He tilted his head a bit and asked curiously.
"Um we kinda have a little surprise for you as well...but I'd brace yourself." Kakashi warned him. A part of him felt scared for what he was going to here next, especially since Naruto struggled to contain his laughter.
(Time skip after they tell the Hokage)
Naruto pov
Once Jiji knew he turned as pale as a ghost and almost fainted. I died of laughter as Kakashi sweat-dropped with a nervous laugh. After a few minutes the Hokage got his composure back together and cleared his throat which meant for me to pay attention.
"Absolutely nobody is to know about anything we talked about here today. Everything discussed here and Naruto's secret anbu identity is now an SS rank secret." Jiji commanded. "Hai Hokage-sama." Me and Kakashi say in unison.
"Good, Naruto don't forget you have a physical and written test in a week to enter the anbu so prepare for that." I nod in excitement.
While he was excited a plan came to his head.
"Wait hold on Jiji, I might have another surprise for you." I say with a little giggle following afterwards. "It's not bad or won't give me a heart attack at least, right?" Jiji asks with a nervous tone. I shook my head yes as I contacted everyone else.
'Hey you guys, this is a chance if you want to try and become anbu now. I'm talking to the Hokage about it now so if your in, come in your disguises.' I say to everyone in the link. One by one everyone responded with an 'okay.' or 'on my way.'
I purposely let Kakashi-nii hear this as he understood what I was doing. "So that's your plan Naru?" Kakashi asked me as I smiled a little and shook my head yes.
This made the Hokage extra confused until a knock came to the door. "You may enter." Jiji said as he and Kakashi saw four unfamiliar children enter the office.
