after lisa's long hours of shoot, she made her way back to the dorm. her unnies weren't home yet as they were also busy with their own individual activities. she sets her things down on her bed and decided to hop in the shower right away, wanting to wash away all the fatigue from her body. she smiled down at her cats as they were all scattered around her room, doing their own little things before heading to her bathroom.

yukhei didn't want the day to end as he spent it with his hyungs. he didn't want to leave, knowing he wouldn't be able to come back for awhile. the others had become like brothers to him. he didn't want the moment to end. he didn't want to be separated from them and it was how the others felt as well. they knew that some of their brothers will be leaving the next day. for the rest of the day, they didn't want to keep thinking about it.
as soon as everyone got together again, yukhei was approached by their leader who instantly wrapped him in a hug. the younger smiled sadly and hugged the redhead back. taeyong was always there for yukhei. he had helped him through his adjustment to living in Korea and taught him so many things. taeyong never made yukhei felt unwelcomed or small. he treated him no different from the others and that's what made the younger feel so much respect for his hyung.
of course, knowing the fact that taeyong was in love with the same girl he was whipped for, he didn't want that to get through their friendship. he was now willing to give her up if he could see his hyung happy. it was the least he could do after everything that the older had done for him.
"we should get home. it's getting late." johnny told the group, his phone pressed against his ear as he was calling for their ride.
"thanks for today, hyung. i really appreciate it." yukhei said, lowly at the male embracing him. taeyong felt a pang in his chest at the younger's words. that moment, he felt like the shittiest person on the planet.
"i didn't do anything, yukhei." the redhead replied back.
"you did so much for me. you do so much for all of us...that's a lot of responsibilities for one man to have." the younger patted the shorter male's back before pulling back from the hug.
"besides, we'll come back. we'll all be together again...it's not like this would be the last time. i'm sure we could visit you every now and then." he added, nudging the leader on the side which made taeyong smile a bit.
"you better or i'm flying to china just to kick your ass, yukhei." the older grinned. the two chuckled and began to follow the others back to the van.
as soon as yukhei climbed in, he grabbed his phone from his pocket and looked at a certain message in particular. he bit the bottom of his lips in thought of what to do next. kun was sat right next to him and the older instantly knew of his dilemma. he nudged yukhei and nodded at him in reassurance as the male gazed back at him before turning his head to speak to their driver.
"hyung, can you just drop lucas and i to the park? we just have a few last minute errands to do before we leave tomorrow. we'll head back as quick as we can." kun asked. the driver was going to protest but kun wasn't having it so he had no choice but to comply.
"do you want us to come with you, hyungs?" chenle furrowed his brows at his two fellow chinese members.
kun shook his head with a smile. "it's late, chenle. lucas and i will be fine. i completely forgot to buy a few things and knowing lucas, he probably did too. we'll be home in no time."
as the two were dropped off to the park, kun faced yukhei who gave him a confused look. the older rolled his eyes. "i know you want to meet her, xuxi. i know you."
"you lied for me?" the younger was in disbelief. kun hated lying and would rather tell the truth than to hide anything. knowing that he had lied was shocking for yukhei.
"it wasn't a lie. i actually need to get a few things...i just chose to not disclose any further information." kun quickly protested and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"i'll wait for you at that store right across." the older pointed to the store before patting the younger's shoulder and jogged away before yukhei could say anything else.
the taller male watched as his hyung left quickly and sighed, running his fingers through his hair. he looked down at his phone and immediately texted lisa. he didn't want to make her meet with him, knowing that she was probably busy but since he was leaving, it didn't feel right for him to not say a word to her despite knowing he was nothing but only a friend to her.
yukhei: hey, you busy?
lisa <3: nope. had a long day tho. you okay?
yukhei: yeah, i'm okay. you should get some rest then. you deserve it.
lisa <3: i got a bit of rest. i'm okay now but something's off with you, lucas....
yukhei: lol what do you mean? i'm the usual wong yukhei you know and love 😏
lisa <3: 🙄🙄🙄
yukhei couldn't help but chuckle to himself. he began to head towards the direction of blackpink's dorm. it was only a 5 minute walk. he made sure to pay attention to where he was walking as he continued his conversation with the blonde female.
on his way towards her dorm, he decided to buy her something from the café he came across. he bought a few cake pops for her as he remembered how many times she had mentioned of her current obsession with it.
a few minutes later, he reached the building and raised his phone to message her once more, trying to ignore the pounding in his chest.
yukhei: can you step out for a minute?
lisa <3: why?
yukhei: pls? 🥺
lisa <3: alright alright...no need to pout, you big baby. but if it's a prank, i will strangle you.
yukhei: i could never do that to you 😇
the male waited a few seconds until he heard a click of the gate. lisa popped her head out, her eyes widening at the sight of the tall nct member in front of her dorm. she approached the male with a small smile. yukhei almost choked on air at the sight of her. as soon as her eyes met his, all of his worries had gone away...completely forgotten and thrown to the back of his mind.
"lucas? what are you doing here? it's getting dark out." the female uttered in concern and confusion. the male fought the urge to smile like an idiot at the thought of her being worried over him.
"i just wanted to see you...is that wrong? by the way, i got this for you." lucas handed the bag of desserts to the small female with a bright smile. lisa furrowed her brows which made her look even cuter than she normally does. the blonde peeked down at the bag and gasped.
"oh my gosh! cake pops?! you remembered?" the dancer exclaimed, her eyes lighting up almost making lucas jealous of the cake pops.
"you underestimate me sometimes, lisa." he chuckled and stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets, fighting the urge to squish her cheeks.
"well, as much as I want to I won't be able to finish all of this on my own so you're gonna have to eat with me. come on." lisa didn't wait for the taller's reply as she immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him inside the dorm.
yukhei was now, again, back to his school-girl behaviour as the blonde had a tight grip on his hand. he tried to play it cool but his heart almost bursted out of his chest just for the simple gesture.
the two idols sat by the front porch of blackpink's dorm, munching on cake pops. yukhei couldn't help but steal glances her way every now and then, wanting to see more of her smile and her eyes. those damn killer eyes she got no idea she possesses.
"this is amazing!" lisa groaned as she grabbed another cake pop, taking a bite of it right away. the male laughed and poked her stuffed cheek without realizing it.
"slow down or you're going to choke." he grinned before grabbing another cake pop from the bag.
"so...as much as I appreciate the surprise and the visit, why did you come here?" lisa turned her body slightly towards the taller male's frame. yukhei sighed as he remembered the reason why he had come.
"well, i'll be put in a permanent unit soon." yukhei announced, although his tone was quite off. lisa squealed and took the male in for a hug in excitement for him but as she noticed how the tall male didn't seem all that excited about the news, she instantly figured out that there was something more about it. she pulled back and met his eyes. she noticed how they were filled with a lot of emotions she couldn't quite put a finger on it but she knew he was torn.
yukhei, on the other hand, loved the way she felt in his arms. he didn't realize how tiny she felt until she embraced him. she felt perfect in his arms...like his body was molded just for hers. the lingering feeling left a panging in his chest at the thought that he wouldn't be able to feel her hug once more.
"there's something more, right?" lisa asked, softly.
"i don't want to seem like i'm being ungrateful because this is honestly an honour to have. but i...am i not good enough to debut here?" the male clenched his knuckles tightly which lisa realized quickly. she didn't know what possessed her to do what she did as she immediately grabbed ahold of his hands. yukhei looked down at their now intertwined hands. he knew the gesture meant more platonic for her than it was for him. but at that moment, he wanted to be selfish. he wanted all of her attention on him.
"yukhei, listen to me...you're one of the most talented, smartest people I know. it doesn't matter where you are in the world, people will see it. ten texted me everything...he told me everything. it's okay to feel the way you're feeling now, yukhei. you've made memories here, you've made a lot of friends here...i don't blame you for feeling a certain way for it but know that we're all here cheering for you. it's gonna be difficult at first...being away from the people that you care about but it'll get better. besides, we'll still be able to communicate so if you need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to reach me." the blonde replied as she gave his hands a gentle squeeze in reassurance.
her words swelled and warmed up yukhei's heart. he definitely felt a little better hearing those words from her although it also made him feel even deeper for her. she was kind and genuine. she's beautiful. the male gave her hands a squeeze as well before putting a small smile on his face.
"thank you, lisa. i'll uhh...m-miss you, you know..." yukhei mumbled which made lisa giggle. it was music to his ears.
"i'll miss you too, yukhei. we'll see each other again." the thai female gave him a reassuring smile.
the two were absorbed into their own little world, their eyes twinkling only for each other while their fingers never separated as they sat under the stars.
everything else? left forgotten.
