I peeked down the next hallway noticing no one was there. So I started to sing the song that was stuck in my head, Kidnap My Heart by The Click 5. But underneath my breathe, just to make sure no one heard me sing.

"Hey now don't be shy but you got to keep me in line

Love at first sight never thought it could happen to me

but you made me believe

Kidnap my heart

take me with you

Kidnap my heart

make my dreams come true

Take me away

Cause falling in love ain't very far

Not far from the start

Kidnap my heart"

I walked toward my locker dancing a little, but trying to hide it. I looked in my locker, displeased that there was so much. I decided it would be 2 loads possibly if I packed the boxes tight. I lifted my first load, and started to head toward to exit. I saw my best friend, Layla, standing there with a smug look. I held out my hand, and looked offended.

"I don't want to hear it. I know I should have done this last week. Take this to my car please?" I asked, pouting.

"FIne, but you owe me!" She exclaimed as she took my box of junk.

I turned on my heel, and walked toward my locker. I put the key in the lock and opened it, and I dropped both lock and key into the empty box. I emptied out the rest of my locker humming Kidnap My Heart. I picked up the last of the stuff, and put my ipod ontop so I wouldn't lose it.  I tripped, and ran into something, or rather someone. I dropped all my stuff, as did the tall figure. I quickly grabbed my things and put them in the box.

"Sorry man!" I exclaimed, noticing the guy was kind of cute with dark brown shaggy hair and brown eyes. He also had a Good With Grenades t-shirt that I have been dying to get.

"It's k. Have a good summer." He replied as he walked away. I mentally smacked myself for tripping.

"You too!" I called out after him.

I head to the exit and dropped all my stuff in the backseat of my tiny white car. Layla looked up from the passenger seat and smiled. This was going to be a good summer. I can't believe we are going to be seniors come fall. This thought blew my mind to pieces.

"Ready?" I asked, taking a deep breathe.

"Of course!" She squealed.

"What CD?" She asked.

"Summer Sounds 2, please?" I asked waiting for her to pull out the mixed CD from my glove box. She put into the CD player, and my tiny car was filled with sound.

"Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want, so tell me what you want, what you really really want. I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want, so tell me what you want, what you really really want. I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zigazig ha." We screamed along with the Spice Girls.

We started to crack up that we were even listening to this, when usually we listen to alternative rock or techno or rock or anything not this. I pulled out of the school parking lot, a bit sad that my junior year was over, and excited that summer was here. I remembered that I owed Layla for her carrying the box.

"Fries?" I asked. I already knew the answer was yes.

"Yes!" She exclaimed as her face lit up. She had an obsession with fries.

I sighed, but smiled. I pulled into the McDonald's parking lot, and we hopped out. We hopped over the railing instead of taking the long way and going around. We walked through the front and door, and I heard a familiar voice.

"Leda! Get your butt over here!" I heard  a male voice exclaim, and that kinda made me jump.

I turned around and saw it was Brad. He had just graduated this year, and I cried at his graduation.I ran full speed to the front counter laughing wildly. I hopped over the counter, and attacked him in a hug. The whole place was giving me a weird look, and I guess I would have been too. I giggled as Brad picked me and spun me. He put me down, and I pulled away.

"You are so lucky my manager isn't here. He hates when you come. Especially since the last time..." His voice trailed remembering the time I broke the ice cream dispenser because Brady had to use the restroom and no one was there but him. And well me.

"Oh he will get over it." I said rolling my eyes, leaving the work area. He smiled and nodded agreeing.

"Can I have some fries?" I asked, pulling out my wallet.

"On the house." Brad said, after he returned with french fries.

"I loveee you Brad!" I said smiling.

"Don't you forget it!" He said laughing, as I walked to sit down with Layla to eat our fries.

I notice her pulling out a pen and paper. I looked at her giving her a questioning look. She returned the questioning look, mocking me. Then it dawned on me, our tradition. Every year we wrote a list of what to do over summer, which we had to succesfully cross off everything, or our summer would be declared as sucks.

"Where to begin?" She asked.

"Um, lets crash a party." She wrote down what I had just said.

"Boyfriends." She declared. I nodded in agreement slowly chewing a fry.

"Swimming and hiking at Muddy Run." I said, and she looked up happy.

"And grilling there too." She added.

"Okayyyy. Amusement park, and beach. Oh and a random 2 day roadtrip." I listed off as she wrote. We continued to discuss what we wanted until we had a list.

Summer List- Leda and Layla Edition

1) Party Crashing

2)Boytoys

3)Muddy Run

4) Amusement Park

5) Beach

6) 2day roadtrip

7) 3 concerts

8) Pool party

9) Sleepovers everyweek (unless sick)

10) Have fun!

I looked over the list and smiled to myself. I had a feeling this summer was going to rock. I pulled out my IPod, wanting to listen to some music.  I pulled the thing to unlock the IPod, but I noticed the picture had changed on the screen to not the picture I usually have. Holy shit, it was the picture of the guy who I had bumped into earlier. I nearly screamed when I saw it. I need my music, or I would die. No joke. I took a deep breathe  on the verge of a panic attack.

I scrolled through his music, seeing unfamiiar bands. But for the most part, we had a lot of the same music. Which is surprising because usually no one knows half the bands or DJs I listen to. I shot up from my seat, and started to head toward the door for my car. I heard Layla following.

"What's wrong Leda." She sounded confused and worried.

"I switched my IPod by accident with some random kid I knocked into!" I exclaimed. I need my music.

"We heading back to the school?" She asked, I could hear her chewing.

"Yeah. Hop in." I started the car, and we raced back to the school.

The doors were locked, and I knew everyone had officially left for summer. I drove down the streetss hoping to find him walking, but I didn't see him anywhere. I sighed deciding I would look through his IPod later, and try to find out who he is. I guess he probably missed his Ipod as well.

"Park?" Layla asked randomly.

"Legit seesaws?" I asked in return.

"Duh!" She replied.

I drove there, and got out. I ran to the seesaw, and Layla hopped on the other side. We moved up and down for a few minutes in silence. I was trying to figure out a way for me to find out how to find the kid with my poor little IPod.

"Hey Leda?" Layla broke the silence.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Who did you switch IPods with?" She asked looking at me.

"I have no idea. He seems like he knows okay music though." I replied, thoughtful of what was on his IPod.

"Was he cute?" I could hear the smirk in her voice.

"Maybe." I said and winked.

We laughed and talked for a while. Around 8 oclock at night we headed back to my house for a sleepover. We rented a few movies and watched them all night. I couldn't get my brain off of the IPods and who that guy was.
