ESSENCES OF BIOLOGY
By thelatentwriter

The study of natural science, life and living organisms is biology. Study of development and evolution, is biology. It isn't just a part, it's the world surrounding us.

Indian floral range is one of the richest in the world. Including some of the most unique in appearance. I know, you all know about Roses, Lily, Orchids so I'll show you something different.

This cute little flower is Moth Orchid also known as Phalaenopsis. It is an incredibly popular flower. They are easy to grow and are known for blooming around the year.

Now, after seeing that adorable flower  you can't say our mother nature isn't very creative.

This flower is indigenous to India. They are known as Passion flower or clock flower. This colorful flower is also used for flavoring in number of culinary dishes.

Now let's take a look at the interesting fauna diversity. While the list is unending, I'll show you, some that caught my eye.

This cute little animal is known as Chevrotain or mouse-deer is the smallest member of the deer family in India. They are mostly found in Western Ghats and Eastern ghats and I'm definitely going to meet them.

Woah, horrifying much?
They are flying squirrel, one of the nocturnal species found in rain-forests of southern western Ghats.
I should go and probably live there?

But wait, the next thing kinda changed my opinion.

Purple Frog is one of the most endangered frog species found in the Western Ghats.

Well maybe I can avoid them and still look for my dear mouse-deer?
Anyway, I hope you did enjoy reading about them.

QUESTION YOURSELF
By _sakshiimishra_

We live in a diverse world. Let's start by acknowledging this first.

This diverse world has different continents with many people living in them, with a different upbringing and culture. Diverse culture creates distinct emotions and situations for people in it. And it is a fact that cultural diversity can affect psychologically. Speaking of India, we live in a very diverse nation from varied casts to languages.

So here is my question.
Do you feel that diversity somehow affects your thoughts, relationships, or friendships? If you don't, think again. Ask yourself these questions and let's see.

▪️How many cultures do you know?

▪️How many friends do you have of different cultures, or languages, or races?

▪️Do you at any time in your life, thought of some culture, race, etc. weird or impossible to believe?

▪️How often do you feel crossed with your friends or partner on the cultural/racial level?

▪️Do you still think you are not affected by diversity psychologically?

You were taught how to behave, how to talk, which language to talk in, what to believe, the taboos, the good omens, etc as per your upbringing.

And that actually did affect your thoughts. Prove me wrong.

DIVERSITY: MORE THAN WHAT WE KNOW
By AngelBody_SatanSoul

Each one of us lives in a culturally diverse society; diversity in culture, languages, opinions and many other things. Cultural diversity is one of the central features of community psychology. It comes from a general psychological focus on naturally occurring differences among people within a social group and between people who are a part of different social groups.

What is diversity?
According to the dictionary, diversity is the presence of difference.
Usual reference of the word diversity is a range of social differences that are divided into a group of people, organisation or community. When used in context to social statistics.
For example, look at the people around you.

Your observations?
1. Physically, they have different body structure, such as weight and height and characteristics, such as hair color and style.
2. Psychologically, they have varying levels of
self-confidence and interests.
3. Intellectually, they differ in their verbal ability and intelligence.
4. Finally, the people your surroundings probably differ in the social categories or
groupings of which they represent, such as ethnicity, cultural background, and
religion.

The first three are examples of individual differences.

Now, to elaborate each and every point very clearly I would like to divide the article written further into three parts where in first part will be discussing the demographic and perspective of psychology of diversity in second part a brief para on how the psychology of diversity affects politics and any third para we will sum it all up.

PART I
People are socially different when they associate with different social categories.
Social categories are also very valuable and informative tools for a psychological study of diversity. They help us organize and remember other information about people. As an advantage, when an individual's social category is taken into account, related information—such as our attitudes, beliefs, and expectations about people in
that social group becomes very predictable.

PART II
Sometimes diversity refers to different aspects of social differences.
Diversity is the presence of people from historically disadvantaged social groups or categories which have their political overtones. The political usage of diversity is excessively focused attention on social differences that are visible. Psychological and political approaches to diversity, however, share an important feature which is the recognition, that there is a greater psychological burden associated with being a member of some social segments and some of this burden depends on past oppression and injustice.

PART III
So, now we know, diversity is both a demographic and political concern.
Diversity being a concern does not indicate a very good community psychology. Yet the acceptance of diverse social groups is becoming more and more common to us. Existence of religious tolerance is another example of this.

Now, at the very end I'd like to talk about "multiculturalism" and "how making diversity a strength or weakness entirely depends on us and our mindset" in order to end this article on a positive note.

Multiculturalism, is the term used to define beliefs or ideals that promote the recognition, celebration, and preservation of social difference. People who follow multiculturalism understand the value of separate voices, cultures, and traditions that build our communities and nation. Multiculturalism also values unity, but in a way that preserves and even capitalises on our social differences.

Diversity is not inherently good or bad, but many dimensions of social difference are associated with inequality and disadvantage. Therefore, we can say that the psychology of a diverse community is also dependent on the psychology of individuals within.

Summing up, For a psychological study of diversity has an interest of demographers and policy makers, as they are keen to study social structure and historically disadvantaged groups. The psychology of diversity considers how individuals' thoughts, feelings, and behaviour are intertwined with their diverse social environments.

Hope you got a new point here.

PSYCHOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES IN PERSONALITIES ALL AROUND THE WORLD
By ZindagiKeRang

Have you are wondered why there are so many distinctions made between Indian, American or Europeans?

Like when talking about Americans, we think nice junk food and video games and when thinking about British people or mind automatically goes to their accent, tea?
That is because there is a considerably big difference between our personalities in general.

For example, The Americans children are generally less attached to their parents or rather give far less importance to their parent's opinion and live their life more according to how they want to live.

While Indian and Asians give much more authority to their parents in deciding their life choices. This is due to the different child raring particles in both cultures. Asian parents are more strict and usually have an authoritarian or Authoritative these are more strict yet balanced styles of parenting teaching discipline and creating a considerable gap between parent ad child.

And American and European cultures are more permissive or indulgent parenting style giving much more way to the child and a considerable no. of negligent parents are found to be Americans, that is because of their parenting styles, and lifestyle.

Also, Indians and Asians have been seen to talk less in concerns of Mental health issues so their personalities might not reflect it but they might have some serious mental health issues.

Americans and Europeans and other countries are more open about such subjects hence way Mental health Treatments are very well designed there.

Indian style of schooling is based more on Theoretical parts of studies, while the American style of schooling is always much more practical, this gives Indians more knowledge but less experience.

We can compare on and on put the point of the matter is that our lifestyles, our parenting styles, schooling systems cultures all play a role in shaping our personalities. That is the reason we have such vast differences in every countries culture and customs.

And yet despite these difference in our personalities nearly all country have recorded in uptick suicide cases, self-harm cases and mental health issues in accord with the pandemic caused lockdown. So diverse as our personality maybe in times of a crisis as big as this we all face the same issues.

To quote High School Musical,
" Everyone is special in their own way,
We make each other strong,
We're not the same,
We're different in a good way,
Together's where we belong,
We're all in this together"
