I grew up receiving insults and always getting bullied for completely doing nothing. I would be on my seat, writing my notes or studying for whatever, and just then random girls would come to me and complain.
Wanna know the reason why? Because I'm too close to Shirabu Kenjiro. Everyone is so mad at how Kenji takes care of me, he would be overprotective of me, always making sure that I'm alright. Well uhm.. We're twins.
Kenji and I are fraternal twins, look completely different, siblings of opposite sex. Kenji actually used to argue with me a lot, but then I started to get bullied by his admirers that he became so overprotective of me.
Kenji would beg the homeroom teacher to keep him in the same class as me and to sit beside me. I'm not against it since I really do get bullied a lot for being close to him. But this year, they won't let him.
"(Y/n), call me when they're trying to bully you. I will go here even if I'm in class." I turn to my brother who's frantic about being away from me, I don't like being apart from him too but we have to be. "Taichi, can you watch over my sister?" I look at his friend, orange-ish brown hair, looks seemingly uninterested, a middle blocker in the volleyball team.
"Isn't that why I'm her seat mate for the whole year? I'll take her with me if I have to." Taichi says, looking at me then at Kenji. "I also hate those bullies, their voices are annoying." He turned to me and placed his hand on my head.
"Don't get touchy with my sister." Kenji says, angry at the fact that Taichi touched me. "If you hurt her I will murder you." He scowls at him and looks at me with worry.
"Kenji I'll be fine.. Taichi's a lot more protective than you think. He's kind to me so don't worry." I smile at my overly anxious brother, and he furrows his brows from hearing what I just said. Kenji bites his bottom lip, his face softened, probably giving up.
"Alright.. I just don't want to see her all bruised up bleeding again. But if you say so.. I'll go now." Kenji kissed the top of my head, giving a small smile before leaving.
It feels nice to be cared for by your sibling, though he makes it seem like he's my boyfriend. He holds my hand and kisses my head whenever I'm scared.
"(Y/n), you might have to tell you brother to stop doing that." I look up from my notes, seeing a very intricate look on Taichi's face. I raise both my brows at him and he sighs. "If he continues to act like that, people will really think you're not twins. Let someone else do that for you." He places his arm on the back of my seat, reaching my cheek and pinching it lightly.
"I'd miss having my brother close though, but we can't always be together..." I give him a smile and he returns it. "But if I get into romance, will he allow me?" He looks away and lets out a small chuckle.
"If I treat you kindly, why not?" He pats my head, giving me a cute smile before tucking his head in his arms on his desk. He looked up at me, eyes' corners curled up.
"Kawanishi Taichi, you're awfully weird." He grins, closing his eyes and turning to the other direction.
Taichi is somehow very difficult to comprehend. He, at first, was always just nodding and wiggling his brows to respond to me. But as time passed by he opened up to me and now we're pretty close.
I know it feels amazing to have someone care for you, receiving that from my twin is already good enough.. so what more if I received it from someone else?
Taichi always makes that cheesy joke, saying he could just date me and he'd be my boyfriend. Then he said if we dated, he'd protect me and shower me with kisses, he'd give me bear hugs or something.
I always don't take them seriously since he's just joking. He's not making an actual effort, he's not doing anything to prove that he's serious. He protects me just because Kenji told him to, we're just close because he opened up.
Class still hasn't started, and I could see some girls making paper balls, maybe a size of a fist. Taping the paper ball all around to make it hard.
I'm studying for a quiz later, and Taichi's on his phone probably watching some video he likes. I saw a girl throw the ball at me, I closed my eyes and looked away, getting ready to be hit. But I didn't get hit.
I opened my eyes to see Taichi's hand right in front of me, holding the ball tightly. He threw the ball right back at the girl, hitting her head. I looked at him and he just smiled at me.
The next thing I know is that Taichi just kept on blocking the paper balls from hitting me, catching and throwing the back at them. He got tired of it, throwing them all to the trash bin behind us.
"Thank you." I whisper, seeing that the teacher just came in. He pat my head and took out his notebook.
I really mean it Taichi, thank you.

15 minute break before the next class starts, Taichi had to go to the restroom. He told me to come and wait for him outside. He looked at me intently before going into the restroom.
I leaned on the wall, playing with my hands or my hair as I waited for him. It wasn't even three minutes yet but then, five girls came to me.
"Hey, two-timer? Kawanishi Taichi and Shirabu Kenjiro? You're so full of yourself, (Y/n)." Fei slowly walked up to me, starting in a irritant voice turning into a more serious one the more she came closer. I tried to run away but she pushed me to the wall. They started dragging me outside, I couldn't yell out to Taichi because of the anxiety that was building up in me.
"T-Taichi!!" I somehow managed to yell.
These girls' nails are digging through my skin, they're really digging my skin. It hurts. They dragged me just outside, somewhere kinda obvious to everyone. They're stupid.
"I told you Kenji and I are twins damn it!" I say, earning a hard slap on the face. She pinched my forehead with her nails, feeling my skin peel off. I felt the sting in my forehead.
"Really? Then why don't you two look alike?" Oh my god. You are dumb. "Then why does he kiss your head?" She grabbed my hair and pushed me to the ground. My knees have scratches now.
"Okay that's enough." Taichi came, pushing the girls gently away from me. He took my hand and I tried to stand but I must've twisted my ankle. "Shit. Your brother's going to kill me." He carried me, glaring at the girls before leaving.
Taichi brought me to the infirmary, placing me on the bed to sit. He really looks like he's panicking. He went to get a wet towel and the first aid kit. He sat on a chair in front of me and started wiping my knees and my face.
"Your brother will never let you near me again." He grunts, treating my knees, dabbing an ointment on them. I thought I only had scratches, I'm actually bleeding.
"Why are you so worked up about it? I can just tell him it's my fault." He furrowed his brows at my response. What's up with him?
"Do you think he will let me off the hook if you say that? Either way, I won't let you blame yourself. Now I don't stand a chance." He lets out a deep sigh, placing a bandaid on each knee.
"Chance? What about being my boyfriend? You're still going on with that joke?" He was about to remove my shoe, but he stopped. He looked at me, he seemed sad.
"You though that was a joke? I'm serious about you, (Y/n). I like you."

I shouldn't have left her, or maybe I should've asked someone else to watch over her for a short while. Protecting her is the only thing I'm able to do and now she's got bandaids all over her. What's worse is the sprain.
I gave (Y/n) a piggyback ride back to the classroom. She and I haven't spoken to each other since I said that, maybe I shouldn't have.. considering the situation.
We got to class and Kenjiro's on my seat, arms crossed, and a twitching brow. He's fuming. I put (Y/n) down when we reached our seats, hearing Kenji sigh deeply as (Y/n) sat beside him.
"I'm sorry." Is all that I could say. I don't have an explanation that can convince him to stop being mad at me. I informed him earlier about (Y/n) and I thought he'd storm into the infirmary and yell at me.
"(Y/n)'s got a wound on her forehead... elbows.. knees.. And a sprained ankle?" He says, glaring at me. I just looked at him and stayed silent. "I told you to protect my sister. That's the only thing I asked of you!" He yelled, standing up to come to me.
"Kenji.." (Y/n) mumbles, holding him back by his hand. "Don't yell at him. He's not the one to blame." Kenji looks at his sister and back at me, anger was the only emotion we could see in him.
"You take care of her while she's in that state. You're carrying her home. If you want me to say yes." He calms down, letting out a sigh. "I won't ever yell at you, I know exactly how it feels. Just.. be there for her." I nod slowly and he smiles at (Y/n).
Kenji left and I sat beside her. I tuck my head in my arms on my desk, looking at her with guilt. She wouldn't be looking so beaten up if I only had been there.
(Y/n) gives me a smile, and I just look at her. She brings her hand to my head, brushing her fingers through my hair. I held her wrist to stop her, she furrowed her brows at me.
I direct her hand to my face, and she chuckles, caressing my cheek. (Y/n) suddenly leaned over to me, feeling her lips pressing against my forehead. I look at her and she flashes me a sweet smile.
What does that mean?

I got excused from training, so now I'm carrying (Y/n) home. Kenji also told me to bring her home so now (Y/n) and I are on our way, she's on my back.
I still hate myself for leaving her unattended. She would've been fine if I hadn't just left her all on her own. But either way, those girls are just crazy.
(Y/n) gave me the keys earlier, so I unlocked their front door. I kneeled in front of the couch for her to get off. I turned to her and she just smiled at me.
"You should rest, I must've been kinda heavy.." She says, letting out a nervous chuckle as she scratched her cheek. I brushed her hair back to see the bandaid on her forehead, it seems like the bleeding stopped. "Taichi, about uhm earlier..."
"About what?" I ask and just then her cheeks turn red. I see. "Me confessing? You don't have to think about it, just rest for now." I smile at her, standing to head for the kitchen to get her water.
I've been here a couple of times so I already know where there things are. Kenjiro makes me clean whenever he calls me over when we're paired for a project, well that was last year.
I poured water into a glass, turning as I drank, finding (Y/n) right beside me. I choked, seeing her suddenly appear.
"What are you doing here? Rest your ankle." I place the glass on the countertop, holding her by her waist so that I could carry her, but she wouldn't let me. "(Y/n), not being able to protect you is already too much for Kenji to handle. If he finds out that you're not resting, he will kill me." She suddenly tiptoed and kissed me on the lips.
"This is what I want to talk about." She furrowed her brows, pouting her lips at me. My cheeks are burning.
"What about it? Also don't kiss me out of nowhe—" She grabbed my necktie and pulled me to her, my lips landing on hers. My hands land on each side of her, on the edge of the table, trapping her between my arms. She pulled away, her lips only a centimeter away from mine.
"Don't you want to hear what I have to say?" I furrow my brows at her, she's really gonna drag me into talking about this. "Let's do it." She looked away, cheeks turning into a darker shade of red. "The girlfriend and boyfriend thing... Kenji permitting you is out of the question, if he says no then I don't care."
"You are one feisty little girl." I smirk, giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "Alright then."

If I didn't do anything he'd ignore the topic until the next time he tries to joke about it. Him caring and worrying is enough for me to say yes, he's helped me a lot anyway.
This is all new to me, taking the first step, letting him take away my first kiss. Taichi's a great guy, even if he doesn't always have an interest over something, at least he cares and that he's trying his best to protect me.
We're upstairs in my room, doing completely nothing but cuddling in bed. His eyes always lands on my forehead to look at the band aid, also checking my elbows and my knees to see if I'm still bleeding.
"Do you think he'd throw a fit if he finds out about us?" Taichi asks, looking at me with worry. "I'm mostly going to get yelled at, he would never yell at you."
"If I never got bullied, he would've never showed that he really cared. He and I bicker a lot, but he's been very kind to me for the past five years. I know he'll understand." I give him a smile and he kissed my nose.
"Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for me to do this?" I chuckle, burying my face on his neck. "If he says no, I'll do everything. Just so that he would say yes." I look up and he pecks my lips repeatedly.
"Am I your first?" He smiled. I guess we're each other's firsts. "What do you like about me?"
"I don't know.. I just love having you around." He didn't say like, he said love. "All I know is that at some point, I fell in love with you.." His cheeks turn red making me chuckle.
"(Y/n)—!" We both turned to the door, seeing my brother. He froze, eyes blinking repeatedly as he tried to analyze what he just saw. "This is...?" Taichi and I sat up, I smiled at my brother. "(Y/n)?! Wait are you serious? No. (Y/n)?"
"Why? I like him..." I could feel Taichi tense up beside me. I just smiled cutely at my twin brother. "Aren't these types of things supposed to be decided by me?"
"But (Y/n).. You know— Because— (Y/n)." I chuckle seeing him all over the place. "He wasn't able to protect you." He frowned, glaring at Taichi.
"I know that. But he said sorry and he's guilty. He cares, he really does..." Kenji continued to frown and I just smiled at him.
"I made a mistake, and I'll correct it. Just let me be with her, and I'll prove it. No matter what it takes."

Kenji let us off the hook, but he still gave me lectures every time we meet. (Y/n)'s happy nonetheless. That's what matters to me.
(Y/n) somehow hasn't been bullied since we got together, and I don't know if it because of that or it's purely coincidental. (Y/n)'s been safe and hasn't been attacked by those girls since then, and I'm happy.
We graduated from high school and we're now off to college. Kenji'a studying medicine, and (Y/n)'s studying Psychology. I'm going to study in Tokyo, and I'm about to ask Kenji if he'd let me take her.
"Kenjiro." I call him out as I entered his room, he looks at me and raises his brow. "I have something to ask."
"What?" He stops doing whatever he was doing, leaning on the closet as he looked at me. "If this about you and (Y/n), you know how stubborn she is so whatever I say she'll do it anyway."
"Well it's better to tell you than not telling you, but... I'm taking her with me to Tokyo." He furrows his brows, letting out a deep sigh.
"As long as she's safe. I've been prying into her business since then so I'll let her do what she wants now. She won't need me if she has you." He smiled.
"The next time we meet, you'll be my brother-in-law."

(Y/n) and I are living in an apartment together, she's not here right now since she has classes today. I'm just in the bedroom studying for finals.
(Y/n) wouldn't be here until 8PM. Her classes end really late sometimes, I'm happy that I was given a car by my parents for me to drive her around. It's a good thing she knows how to drive.
I look at the clock and it's just 3PM. Fucking— There's still five more hours before she comes home. I'm lonely without her. I decided to call her since she doesn't have a class at this hour.
"Yes? I'm studying for a quiz." So are you asking me to hang up? "Is there a problem Love?"
"Yes. Your classes end very late. I want you home now." She chuckles and I could hear someone speak to her. "Who's with you? Why is there a guy with you? Kenji will kill me if something happens to you."
"I am with Kenji. He's here today, all the way here from Miyagi." What in the world. "He's here for his fiancée don't worry."
"When are you coming home?" I changed the topic, I don't want go hear anything about her brother at the moment. He just scolded me for making her drink the other day.
"After my next class. We don't have classes after that. I'll be home later. I have to go, study well and I'll see you later. I love you." She hung up.
My fiancée just hung up on me. I'm bored. I don't know what to do. I still have to wait for two more hours. It might've been reduced to two hours but still.
Not wanting to study anymore, I decided to cook dinner. I'm not the best but at least she likes my cooking. I decided to cook two of her favorite dishes, just to bribe her in case she gets mad at me for not studying.
Most of the time spent alone was me just thinking of when she'll come home or just mainly thinking of cuddling with her once she's here.
I've been very clingy because we're both so focused on studying at the moment that we barely have time to even focus on each other. We haven't done anything much since finals are near. Well it's fine, just a little bit more and I'll have her all to myself.
I'm now done and I am just waiting for her to come home. I also hope she didn't bring Kenji with her or else I'm sulking for the whole week, just kidding.
I could hear the front door, I rushed up and waited. The door opened and I saw her, I pulled her into a hug immediately.
"Never knew Taichi was this clingy." He came. "I won't say anything." He chuckled and I just smiled a little.
I took (Y/n)'s stuff from her, putting them inside the bedroom. I walked back and forth, still trying to calm down. I'm pretty sure Kenji's gonna talk to me about something that's why he came with her.
We all had dinner and (Y/n)'s happily stuffing food into her mouth. Kenji was the same, they apparently have the same favorite dishes. Twins.
I did the dishes and (Y/n) took a shower. She'll probably shower a lot longer than normal, she usually does this when there's an exam.
Kenji and I are now on the couch, talking about life. He won't graduate until next year. I wanted to drink alcohol, so I did.
"Won't you drink? You won't be back in Miyagi for the next three days so just ease up." I tell him, he's just tracing the glass with his finger.
"You will hear the most embarrassing things from me if I get drunk." I raise my brow at him as I drank alcohol. I kinda know why he's here now. "(Y/n)'s lucky to have you. You always give her time even when she tells you not to."
"So you're here to make up with your fiancée?" He flinched, just like I thought. "(Y/n) and I don't fight so don't ask me about that." He rolled his eyes at me. Well it's true that we don't, we argue but it doesn't make her want to spilt up.
"When are you two going to get married?"
"Never thought you'd ask that. Anytime, as long as she's ready to get married. I won't be asking you that, you'll never know what'll happen to you and your fiancée." I chuckle and he punch my arm lightly.
"We'll be fine... I hope.. She just got mad, hearing me say I'm sorry, I'm needed by the professor. I always come home by 3AM, she sometimes waits for me." He's finally drinking.
"Then she must be stupid to date a Med student." (Y/n) teases, walking to us while drying her hair. "Also you, who told you to drink?" (Y/n) stole the alcohol from me and drank it.
"You're not allowed to drink." Kenji and I say. (Y/n) completely ignored us and stuck her tongue out at us. She sat between us, leaning on me.
"Your exams start tomorrow and you're drinking." I steal the glass from her and she frowns. "Don't be stubborn."
"I am third wheeling." (Y/n) chuckles at Kenji's comment. "I should go to her." He gave me the glass, and we all stood from the couch. He kissed (Y/n)'s cheek and left.
I put the alcohol away before she drinks without my permission. She can't be drunk when she has exams tomorrow morning. Says me who actually planned on drinking a lot more.
I took a shower and (Y/n) went to the bedroom to study. She only cuddled when Kenji was around, and now she's focused on studying again.
I went to the bedroom and there she is laying on the bed, earphones on as she listened to online discussions. I laud beside her and hugged her close, pampering her neck with kisses.
"Taichi." She furrowed her brows, making me stop. I pursed my lips, I hope she's not mad. "What's with you being so needy?"
"Pay attention to me for a few minutes.. please?" She was about to turn around and ignore me but I crashed my lips on hers, pinning her down to the bed as I hovered over her. I continued to kiss her, taking off the earphones off her ears. I pressed my lips on hers, kissing her nonstop. I pushed her lips open with my tongue, slipping it in, making my tongue dance with hers. She sucked my tongue, breaking away, a string of saliva connecting our lips. I licked the corner of her lips, kissing it to wipe the saliva off her. "I want to do it."
"You literally just told me not to drink because of my exams and now you want to screw?" I frown, she's right. I fall to her side, sighing in defeat. I roll more to the side to get away from her to give her space, hugging a pillow instead. "Taichi.."
"I'll behave." I turn around to have my back facing her, taking my phone to distract me. I could feel the bed move, finding her face right in front of mine. "What..?"
"I never said no." Without hearing me say a word, she kissed me. "But, I don't want to. Can we cuddle instead? While I study?" She pulled me to move closer to where her things are. "Stop sulking like a baby." She laid her head on my arm, kissing and poking my cheek to make me smile.
"You won't be calling me baby once I get you pregnant." She pouted her lips, I chuckle at how cute she is. "Go ahead and study."
"Alright.. I love you."

Taichi finally got a hold of me after we finished our exams. I think we might've done it more than three times because of him being so needy.
We graduated and got married. Also still helping my brother with his fiancée. I'm surprised they haven't broken up yet. I hope they won't, Kenji's never been serious about a girl other than me and her so...
Kenji was happy for me, we all found out that I'm bearing a child. Taichi cried when he found out, he said he was very happy yet sorry because he knows the reason why I'm pregnant only months after graduation.
"Taichi..." He's half-awake but his eyes are closed. "I'm hungry... I want donuts." I haven't craved for anything but donuts, it's my first crave. "Loveee, babyyy."
"I'll go." He smiled, opening his eyes. "You coming with me? We also should stop by the hospital for your brother." We're in Miyagi to visit our parents, might as well visit my brother.
We first drove off to buy donuts, he bought a lot. I'm happy at the sight of three boxes. He also bought me coffee, I almost spilled it so he carried it for me.
Kenji's still kinda down with his own problems so we decided to bring him food. I don't know if he's eating properly, he should.
"Kenji!" I call out seeing him with a colleague. He looked surprised to see me and Taichi here. He excused himself and went up to us.
"What are you guys doing here? In Miyagi?" I have him the bento I made before we left. He chuckled and gave me a hug. "She's not having trouble right?" Taichi smiled and nodded. "How many months?"
"Almost 9." I giggle, giving him a cute smile. "I'm not surprised if I suddenly got into labor today."
"Love don't say that." Taichi frowned and I chuckled. "And your fiancée is how many months?" Kenji sighed. "What's wrong?"
"She's not telling me. But her friend said I think seven months?" I frown, hearing that he doesn't even know anything. I punch his stomach. "(Y/n) what the hell?"
"Look behind you." He turns around, seeing that his fiancée's just right behind him, carrying a baby in her arms.
"You went into labor?" I could see Kenji clench his fists. I feel bad for him. "Why did you not tell me? I could've been there for you." Yeah this story switched to Kenji's instead of mine.
"Kenji, we'll leave you two alone. We'll head home." He turns to me and I could see him crying. I kissed his cheek, smiling at both of them before dragging Taichi out of the hospital.
Our drive home was quiet. I felt drained, seeing my brother in that situation. I'm thankful that Taichi and I never argued that much, I'd be damned if I had gone into labor without him.
I'm thankful to have him, maybe if we weren't together I wouldn't be here with him. I don't think I'd be married right now, I'd probably a Psychotherapist if we never got together.
He has only ever loved me while we were together. He never lets me do anything that he knows I would regret, he keeps me away from danger. Taichi put the ring on my finger and held my hand, showering me with love.
He really proved that he could be my husband.
We got home and I went to the bedroom. I just wanted to sleep now. I lost my appetite to eat the donuts we bought.
"Love you're not eating?" I sit up, looking at him. "Hey why are you crying?" He sat beside me and I wrapped my arms around him, crying on his shoulder.
"Thank you. I'm happy, I really am happy that I got married to you." He caressed my back, kissing the side of my head to help me stop crying. "Taichi, I love you.." I pull away, pressing my lips against his. He kissed back, planting kisses all over my face, making me chuckle.
"Whatever happens (Y/n), I'm here. We won't be apart, I promise that. I'll be a husband and a father, for you and our daughter. I'll always be here. I love you."
