The boys are still pretty overwhelmed, having to lose against Karasuno was beyond their imaginations. I help the boys a lot as a manager and people that weren't always emotionally attached to the sport had cried.
It is sad to know that the third years will be graduating soon, and the team has to get used to with new players. I also cried a lot seeing them so down, but they're still trying to reach higher.
"Taichi." I smiled at my boyfriend who has been practicing more than he usually does. "Don't tire yourself too much. You still should rest okay?" He just nodded and I went ahead and gave the other players their bottles.
"(Y/n)." I turn to Shirabu showing me his phone.
"What's with it?"
"It's still early, we can still practice, right?" It is just 7PM but they've been practicing nonstop. "We'll be fine. Come on."
"I could say yes, but I'm not sure about coach. You have to ask him as well." He nodded and went ahead to ask. These boys are eager.
I went ahead and got the bottles filled again, the boys were allowed to stay and practice. I had to stay as well, I wanted to be there for them.
I was walking back with the bottles when I saw Taichi approaching me. I just smiled and he took some of the bottles from me.
"You know you could go home." I shook my head and he furrowed his brows. "(Y/n) it's getting late."
"I'm waiting for you to finish. I'm going to keep an eye on you and everybody else. Plus, you're the type to practice until you drop... I just wanted to make sure you wouldn't." He clicked his tongue and walked back.
He's just worried about me. I followed him and the boys came right to me for their drinks. I gathered the towels as well. I could still see Taichi eyeing me, he really doesn't like the idea of me staying here up until late at night.
I was handing out the bottles I once again just refilled. I handed one and the cap was loose, I didn't realize until now. It dropped to me and I got wet. Taichi quickly brought me outside.
"This is why I don't like you staying late." We went to the club room and he helped me wipe myself.
"Sorry..." He smiled a little and ruffled my hair.
He went through his bag and gave me a shirt, this is going to be huge for me. He realized I was still wet, he really got a towel to dry me up.
"I'll turn around so change your shirt." I nodded.
I took off my shirt and placed it on the shelf, wearing his huge T-shirt. I tapped him when I was done. This looks like a dress on me.
"Wear my jacket." I didn't want to but he really made me.
Taichi always seem like he's completely uninterested. Sometimes when he's worried he just looks mad. He's just not as showy as everyone else.
We went back to the gym and the player immediately apologized to me and to Taichi. Taichi looked so pissed but actually he just didn't know what to say.
Goshiki's still loud as ever, he always talks about being the ace. Shirabu would shut him up every time though.
I enjoy seeing them play, but still I'm concerned about them practicing too much. It's already 8:30PM. Not even Taichi's planning on going home, no one was.
"Guys, are you really going to keep practicing? It's almost 9PM." I managed to say and all of them looked at me.
"We're going to be fine (L/n)-san." I frown hearing Goshiki's words.
I bit my lip, trying to think of something to say to convince them to stop already. Nothing's coming out of my mouth.
"Let's just wrap it up." Taichi said and Shirabu and the other second years agreed. I mouthed him a thank you and he just nodded.
They started cleaning and I gathered all the towels and the bottles. I put the towels in the laundry basket and the bottles in the club room.
I kinda feel cold even with Taichi's jacket. It's almost winter season so I guess that makes sense. I checked to see if they've really cleaned properly, the balls were back and the cleaning supplies were also back in place.
I locked the gym and Taichi waited for me. I sneezed. I sneezed again. Dang it's really cold. Taichi placed his hand on my forehead, I don't have a fever.
"You're cold?" I nodded.
He held my hand and we went to the club room to get our things. He doesn't usually hold my hand. Probably it's just because I'm cold at the moment. The water that spilled was cold after all.
Taichi brought me to his classroom and took his scarf under his desk. I don't know why he kept that there. He wrapped the scarf around my neck.
"Just to keep you warm for now. I don't have another jacket." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"This is more than enough."
"Do you want me to hold your hand?" I nodded and he gladly took it.
All the others went ahead. Taichi's the type of person to be quiet, so every time we walk home no one really speaks. It's fine though since, it was quite noisy back at the gym.
I was surprised when Taichi accepted my confession. I never really thought he'd say yes. My friends and I were betting on it, I really had a crush on him and they made me confess. They bet a lot on that one, no one expected that he was going to say yes.
My friends teased me when I first said I liked him. Then the next they started bringing me down saying he would never say yes, but I guess miracles do happen.
"You look happy." Taichi suddenly said.
"My friends told me before that you'd never accept my confession, then in the end you did." I chuckled and I could see him blush. "They kinda crushed my hopes before they made me confess." He didn't reply.
I know he's still trying to open up. We're both new to the whole thing, so of course we both need to try to adjust first. We can't force things to happen.
I stopped walking when we were in front of my house. I tried to let go of his hand but he didn't let me. I looked at him, confused. He never does this.
"Taichi?" He suddenly pulled me into a hug.
"I'll see you tomorrow." I chuckled and hugged him back.
"Be careful on your way home." I smiled at him and went inside.
Taichi took a step forward. I'm happy. He's trying. I always step forward first before he does. He's never hugged me first. I have hugged him though, that time when they lost to Karasuno.
Taichi was bawling his eyes out and so was I, I hugged him that day. Things are really slow between the two of us. No one really likes taking the initiative to do something.
I took a hot shower since I actually really feel cold. I also washed my shirt and his, I have to return it tomorrow. I drank medicine just in case.
I'm now doing my homework inside my room, and it's already late. I was sleepy, but I haven't finished it yet. My phone started ringing, that kinda helped.
"Hello?" I yawned. I didn't look at the caller ID.
"You're not going to sleep yet?" Oh, it's Taichi.
"I have to finish my homework, you?" He was silent, I could only hear him breathing. "Taichi?"
"I just wanted to check on you.." That made my heart jump. "It's 12AM, why don't you sleep already?" He's worried.
"It's alright. This is homework for second period." I heard him sigh.
"I'll help you in the morning. Just sleep now." His voice is just monotone but he's caring. "Just listen to me and go to sleep. Goodnight, I love you."
"I love you... too...." He hung up.
Did he just say I love you? I'm not mistaken, he really said I love you. For the first time. I feel my cheeks heat up, that woke me up.
Kawanishi Taichi, what's on your mind?

"My friends told me before that you'd never accept my confession."
Do I really look uninterested at everything I do? To make people think that I'm also uninterested in romance.. I'm a human being and I have feelings. Of course I'm still interested.
(Y/n) looked happy remembering that she had won the bet against her friends, or that I accepted her confession..
Ok I do have to admit that I didn't really have an interest when it comes to love, romance and dating or whatnot. But when (Y/n) just confessed to me, I really thought she was cute.
(Y/n)'s face was extremely red when she was confessing, she played with her fingers, twirling her hair.. I just really found her cute.
"I love you... too..." What was that? Was she hesitant?
I said I love you to her for the first time. Why was her response like that? Maybe she doesn't like me to that extent, or maybe she doesn't actually love me.
I bury my face in the stack of pillows on my bed. I feel like my face is so hot. But still what was that response? Is she not happy?
Why am I panicking?
The next day, I got to school and she was already on her seat. She was doing her homework, I'm glad she listened. My seat's in front of hers, so I went ahead and went to my seat.
I turned my chair around and she flinched seeing me. She was avoiding eye contact. Did I mess up?
"Do you want me to help?" She shook her head. No? Why? "I told you I'd help though." Keep your monotone voice.
"I'm almost finished." She smiled, letting out a nervous chuckle. Should I have not said that to her?
"Okay..." I turned my chair back and rested my head on my desk.
Classes won't start in 45 minutes. We're kinda early today. I'm trying to nap since I didn't get much sleep last night from worrying.
I'm already half-asleep. I could still hear my surroundings but I'm asleep. I could also hear her voice, it's soothing. But she was hesitant last night. Ugh.
"(Y/n)! Some guy's looking for you." A guy?
I heard (Y/n)'s chair being pushed back, she went to the guy. I turned my head to the right to try and peek, I want to see who came for my girlfriend.
It was faint but I saw paper, like a card. It was green. What is that card? I sat up and looked at (Y/n). She was using the paper as a fan.
"Can I see that?" I asked her and she gave it to me. I turned around and read the paper.
"I've always had my eyes on you.. I really think you're pretty and thank you for helping me with the books in the library.
I like you a lot, please go out with me."

"(Y/n), I'm confiscating this." I say to her and she blinked.
"I don't even know what's written on it yet." She pouted her lips. I don't want her to see it. She might go for the guy. "Let me read it."
"No." She frowned. "I don't want you to read it..." I bit my lip and she raised a brow.
"Kawanishi Taichi, hand me the card." I furrowed my brows, she looks annoyed. "Taichi."
"Fine.." I gave her the card and went outside.
She won't go for the guy, right? Will she? I don't want her to. She's mine.
I tried to look around, apparently Shirabu knows him. He's his classmate. He showed me who he is and I kinda feel troubled.
He's the captain of the baseball team, he's handsome and he has a better build. I can't compete to that. I'm not really that good looking, I may not even be good looking.
I didn't know (Y/n) knew people like him, I mean.. It's not like I ask her who the people around her are. I barely even know her friends.
I went to the vending machine and bought coke. If there was root beer, I'd drink that but it's not allowed here. I hope (Y/n) won't go for the guy..
I walked back to the classroom, only to find (Y/n) receiving flowers from another handsome student. I'm not liking this.
"Taichi." She looked surprised. I looked away. "I'm sorry but I have a boyfriend." That caught my attention, who's her boyfriend? The guy or me?
"Oh I didn't know you and Kawanishi-san were together.. Sorry." I saw the student leave and (Y/n) went up to me.
"Where were you? I was looking for you." She pouted her lips, furrowing her brows. She was looking for me?
"Why?"
"You disappeared when I said I wanted to read the card. I get why you didn't want me to, I'm sorry." I feel embarrassed to hear that, my cheeks are probably red.
"W-What will you tell him?" She chuckled and took my hand.
"I will tell him that I can't, because I already have you." She just smiled at me. "Come on."
(Y/n) pulled me back inside and I had to cover my smile. I can't stop smiling. She stayed. She loves me, wait does she really? I bent my head back and looked at her.
"Do you love me?" That wasn't supposed to be..
"I love you." She smiled and kissed my forehead.
"Well then I love you too."
I sat properly and buried my face in my hands. I feel happy. I can't stop smiling. She said she loves me. I feel so overjoyed. She really said it. She wasn't hesitant.
"That wasn't a lie right?"
"Taichi of course it's not a lie." She pinched my cheek.
It's true. I just fell for her all over again. I'm so happy, I've never felt so happy before. I can feel my heart racing.
Class went on and I kinda feel extra pumped, I suddenly want to work harder. Simple words but they're worth more than diamonds.
I focused a lot today, hearing her say it without a doubt made me really happy. But I still tried to keep a straight face, I don't want Tendou-san teasing me when he sees me smiling like an idiot.
Lunch came and some students left already. I turned around to see (Y/n), and I saw another sight that I didn't like.
"Who gave you these?" There were boxes of chocolate and letters. How come I didn't notice that? "Don't accept them."
"I'll just take the chocolates."
"But they'd think that they have a chance." I complained.
"Taichi you are surprisingly possessive of me."
I have to be. It's like they're completely ignoring my existence as her boyfriend. I don't show my affection like how other guys would. I have trouble with doing that.
I'm still trying to get used to having a girlfriend. I know that it's been months since she became my girlfriend, but still I have to at least adjust to it.
(Y/n)'s surprisingly famous, especially with the guys. She opened her locker and I saw more gifts. I asked if she'd let me see them one by one and she gave me permission.
They're all from guys, some are even from students from a different school. Why is my girlfriend receiving so many gifts from guys? Can't I have her for myself?
"Can I burn the flowers?" I asked her and she furrowed her brows. "I'll buy you flowers if you want, just don't keep those." I frowned.
"If it'll make you feel better then okay." I felt like kissing her forehead so I did.
Practice came and I'm observing her more than usual. There could be someone from the team trying to hit on her, I'm not going to allow that to happen.
I also eyed the door if there's a random student coming here just for her. I saw a student and it's a girl. I thought it was a guy.
I'm still motivated hearing her say I love you to me. I want to record that. Now I'm being straight up weird. But I can't help it. I love her. I can really finally say I do.
"Taichi." It's my baby. "You seem energized today." I smiled.
"Kawanishi-san are you okay?" Goshiki asked and I raised a brow.
"Taichi, you're not sick aren't you?" Shirabu what the hell?
"He smiled!" The others said. Am I not allowed to?
"I'm a human being....?" (Y/n) laughed but everyone else still gave me weird looks. Serious I can smile, I just don't. I never had a reason to, but now I do.
We continued practice and everyone was still asking me if I was alright. I was more than fine, more than perfectly fine.
I helped (Y/n) with the bottles again and she's also smiling a lot with me today. She's also telling me stories and I enjoy listening to her.
Actually this is the first time she's ever told me stories, she always considered my state of trying to adjust to everything. I know she was adjusting as well.
We were doing blocking drills and I'm jumping extra higher today, if I would be this happy every single day then our blocks would be a lot better.
I was doing fine up until when I saw a guy, it was Akihiro. He came for (Y/n). There's no other reason, he wouldn't be here for Shirabu. Kenjiro doesn't like him too. I know how it feels to be a boyfriend now.
The whistle blew and I immediately went up to my girlfriend. She was on the other side of the court, ah I'm late. He placed his arm around her shoulder. I'm mad.
"(Y/n)-chan." Tch.
"(Y/n)." I grabbed her hand and pulled her away from him. "Excuse me, but who told you to touch my girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend?" He asked, he was glaring at me.
"I don't think I said the wrong word." I'm annoyed, I know boys try to hit on her but he's too much. "I think you could comprehend that considering you're in a college preparatory class. If not, then why are you there?" I felt (Y/n) try to calm me down, I'm sorry.
"Are trying to pick a fight?"
"I'm only stating facts." I glared at him. He grabbed my shirt and brought me closer.
"You? Her boyfriend? I don't think she'd stoop down to your level. She deserves better." Ha, this jerk is really getting on my nerves.
"Don't be sad, she picked me not you." He clicked his tongue. "Now fuck off."
"You asshole—!"
"I think our junior has every right to be mad." Ushijima-san. "But I didn't expect to see you here, Akihiro. You're disturbing their practice. I think you should head back, as you are the captain of the baseball team."
Ushijima-san made him leave. Akihiro was still fuming, I don't think he even has the right. He can't get mad at me for getting mad that he's trying to touch my girlfriend.
I stepped out of the gym and went to the restroom. I turned on the faucet and I just let my hair get wet. Guys like him are annoying. I mean—
It's not like I've been the same situation before. People like him are really just annoying. People who think they're the boss or something. Plus to act like that, childish. He picked a fight not me.
I turned off the faucet and let the water in my hair drip. I went out, only to find my girlfriend leaning on the wall. Waiting for me.
"Don't let your hair stay wet like that, you're going to get sick." She reached for my hair drying it with a towel, she's short so I bent down a little for her. "I'm sorry. I should've done something."
"Don't apologize, you did nothing wrong." I smiled at her but she still looks worried. "We're fine, stop frowning."
"I was shocked to see you mad." She looks like she's about to cry, please don't. I pulled her in for a hug.
"I'm not mad at you." She looked up at me. "I'm sorry if I scared you." I pecked her lips. And there goes my first kiss.
"Let's get your hair dried."
Practice continued. We also stayed to practice on our own. (Y/n)'s still here as well. She never leaves as long as I'm still here. My mood seriously just did a flip.
If I see that Akihiro guy ever again, I'm not gonna hold back anymore. Well only if he still tries to make a move on (Y/n). I really won't let him off the hook next time.
I'm eyeing (Y/n) and she looks like she's about to fall asleep on the bench. I checked the time and it's 9:06PM. We've passed 9, it's too late for us to stay here.
"Let's wrap it up. It's getting late." I announce, I'm not really captain or anything but someone has to speak.
I first went to (Y/n) to wake her up, well she is but she's about to really fall asleep. She's tired. She wanted to help us clean the gym to make things faster but I didn't let her.
(Y/n) waited for everyone to finish. I helped her with the towels and the bottles. We used a lot more towels today than yesterday. She washed them and let them dry.
When everyone was done, we locked the gym. I told (Y/n) to wait and that I'd get her bag instead, she seriously looks tired.
"(Y/n)?" She's fallen asleep. She's on the stairs. "(Y/n), wake up." She slowly opened her eyes, I kinda feel bad for waking her up. I squatted down in front of her.
"What are you doing?"
"Hop on." She was hesitant but I pulled her and she finally listened.
(Y/n)'s surprisingly light, I gave her a piggyback ride. She's sleeping on my back. I think we should have practice run only up 'til 8PM. She's working too hard.
I glance at her from time to time and she has really fallen asleep. The honking of the cars doesn't wake her up. I guess I'll have to leave early tomorrow so that she wouldn't be tired.
We got to her house, I went to the front door and I saw her mom. She looked surprised to see me carrying her on my back.
"I'm sorry for the trouble." I shook my head and smiled.
Her mom guided me to her room since I've never really been here yet. I carefully placed her on the bed. I was asked to stay for a little while, and I gladly stayed.
I had to brush her hair back and tie it, although I don't really know how to tie a girl's hair. But if I didn't she'd be eating her hair.
I just sat beside her on the bed. I just played with my phone, mainly taking pictures of her sleeping. I'm using that as a wallpaper.
"Kawanishi..." I panicked. I didn't use flash. Good. She's awake. "T-Taichi?!" I just smiled at her. "Eh? My hair's tied."
"I tied it." She blushed. "Your mom asked me to stay. But either way I think I would've." I chuckled.
"Thank you." I pinched her cheek, and she held my hand. "I love you." She smiled.
"I've been wanting to do this." I brought her face closer and my lips met hers. It's like our lips are dancing with each other. "I really love you." I hugged her.

The next day, I fetched (Y/n) before I went to school. I decided that I wanted to go together. People were staring at us— me?
(Y/n) held my hand and clung to my arm. I smiled at her. I should've done this before, it actually feels nice. Walking with her to school— I'd want this everyday.
This time I told her stories and we'd laugh whenever I told her something embarrassing, she'd share her moments too. I'm getting to know her more and more.
We got to class and girls were outside, holding boxes of chocolates, letters and roses. We walked through them and went to our seats. Just then..
"Kawanishi-sama!" What the fuck?
The girls were actually here for me. They placed everything on my desk. I tried to tell them to leave. I just smiled at their remarks which (Y/n) didn't like, so I didn't smile.
All of them left. I turned to (Y/n) who just took a deep breath. I chuckled seeing her reaction, a jealous girlfriend— always cute.
"Will you let me read everything?" I smiled and nodded. I tried to stifle my laughter. "Kawanishi-sama? I love you? Ha, they're hopeful aren't they? I'm sorry but he's taken." She frowned and crossed her arms.
"Come here." I hugged her and caressed her back.
"Oh, may I burn the flowers?" I kissed her and smiled.
"As you may wish, my Princess."
