Why Is Love So Hard?

Introduction

Why is love so hard? I don't know. It's just a part of life. After a boy in high school broke my heart, I had stopped loving. What was there to gain? Love was just a stupid emotion that made you cry all the time, ache for someone else, and have your heart broken repeatedly. Love gave someone the power to break you. I hated that feeling, and I never wanted it to happen again. So why did I break my promise to myself? I think I have the answer now, but it took a lot to get there. No matter how hard you try, love always intervenes.
