"Don't you think this is too much for you?"
Rika slips off of her bed and stretches in her naked glory. The two she's leaving tangled in the sheets don't hide their gazes as they study the delicate curves of her form. As she's the example for all of her followers, she's come to enjoy being watched. "No."
V speaks up from the bed, combing his hand through his light blue hair. "You just seem so stressed. Is everything going be ready for Y/n to take over soon?" It's hard for him to focus, but he tries his best to keep his eyes on the pale and yellow form in front of him.
"I don't have a successor in order to get rid of stress and responsibility," the viper snaps. "I have one to ensure our future. But, she's just not ready yet."
MC sucks in a breath. "I could... always do it." She sits in the bed with her breasts out above the covers, seated as far as she can be from V. Even when she was in the RFA, she never really got along well with him. And he thought that she was dead until not too long ago, so it's not surprising that the feeling is mutual. "I've been here longer than her and I know more about the rituals."
"For you to know how bad my mood is and still go on with saying such foolish things." The savior struts over to her dresser and begins to pull out a fresh set of clothes. "You're a failure MC. My hideous failure. When will you ever learn to just do as I say?" Rika turns around and smiles at her believer. "I had a dog before you. V, you remember Sally, don't you?"
At his name, the man stiffens, but doesn't move to cut her off. "Yes... I remember."
"She was abandoned and then wounded like you and stopped obeying me. Can you guess what happened to her?"
MC's fingers knot in the sheets. Her jaw clenches silently. "What happened?"
A rotten smile infuses the woman's sweet features. "She couldn't take the pain anymore and ran in front of a moving car."
MC's heart sinks deep in her chest. The door to the bathroom shuts and the shower starts seconds later. She's left with nothing but the ringing of her Savior's laughter.

"Saeran," Y/n whines. Her boyfriend has pulled her snugly against him and has even gone as far as to put his leg over hers so that she doesn't scoot away from him on the bed again. "Let's use the messenger to talk."
"I've missed you so much." Saeran squeezes Y/n lightly who in turn squeezes Nunsseob. Since her room was trashed by Rika, Saeran found the one that had been prepared for him and brought Y/n to it. "...I know I'm being selfish."
Y/n relaxes into his chest as his chin hooks over to the front of her shoulder. "I'm always being selfish and I've missed you too. Don't worry." She leaves her head against his, her eyes closing slightly. "I wish I could've kept you from coming here, but there's no use crying over spilt milk. Let's just try our best to find a way to escape soon."
Searan's hand plays with her hair, brushing it back and flattening the edges. "I already have a plan."
"You do?" Taken aback, Y/n looks over her shoulder at the man only to be attacked with a kiss. His lips are soft against hers and pull away quickly, just enough to give her a taste.
His lips meet her skin once again and trail down the rim of her ear. He really missed her. "I'll explain it all soon. For now, just rest. I'm here now. I'll protect you." One of his hands find hers and their fingers interlock. "This time for sure."

Y/n is fast asleep in no time and stays that way through dusk and well into the evening. As he watched her sleep he couldn't get her injuries out of his head.
He did his best to hide it (and seemingly did a good job), but the moment he saw Y/n's face, he was horrified. Utterly in love, but awfully horrified. Even he wasn't ever hurt like that. He was shocked when he saw the video of her kidnapping, but from her wounds it's clear that the violence didn't stop at just that.
His gaze falls on her sleeping form as she clutches her stuffed animal to her chest. What's going to happen to her if they fail when trying to escape? What's going to happen to her if Rika changes her mind about wanting her as the successor? What's going to happen to her if it's found out that she was the one who leaked the information about his father?
The fire in the small fireplace crackles as Saeran paces by it, the file Y/n had hidden in her room slowly burning. No. Nothing will happen to her. Saeran tears his hands out of his white locks. He has a plan and he has leverage. No matter what, he and Y/n will be able to escape. Unharmed. And those that have hurt her will finally get what they've deserved.
