FIVE YEARS LATER
_______

29 YEAR OLD MIN YOONGI DROVE DOWN THE WINDING ROAD, ENJOYING THE COOL SUMMER BREEZE. Work had been hectic the past few weeks, but now, things were beginning to level out and he could finally relax.

The drive home was always enjoyable for Yoongi. Something about rolling down the windows of his car and letting the wind blow his hair around was rather calming. Getting to enjoy the forestry around him, the lovely greens in the summer, the reds and orange in autumn and the icy blue in winter was soothing, and made for pleasant car rides when he wanted out of the house. And lately, he'd been going on more drives.

But he always found that part of the drive too short and in no time he was pulling into the driveway of his house. There were no other cars parked in front, meaning he was the only one home. Gathering his things, he climbed out of the car and made his way up to the front door.

Holly was waiting for him as he pushed the front door opened, wagging his tail. Yoongi set his briefcase down, and hung up his jacket before bending down to scoop the dog up in his arms. Holly attacked him with a series of licks to his face, causing Yoongi to laugh out loud as he made his way up the stairs to shower. "I missed you too Holly," he chuckled, setting the dog down on the top of the landing.

Entering his bedroom, he stripped himself of his clothes and made a bee-line for the shower, turning the water almost to full heat.

Showering was another thing he found enjoyable after coming home from work. Being able to stand under the scalding hot water which helped to relax his tense muscles was also calming and he looked forward to it the moment he walked through the door. He didn't always have the chance to do it right after work, but for when he could, he cherished it

He stayed under until the water began to run cold and only then did he shut the water off. He stepped out of the shower, and wrapped himself in a towel.

Holly was curled up on the bed next to Momo as he exited the bathroom and moved across the room to the dresser. He haphazardly dried his hair with one hand while he dug around for a pair of sweats.

Drying himself off and changing, yoongi made his way back to the bed and ruffled Holly's fur. The dog lifted it's head and looked up at him. "Hungry?" He questioned, before chuckling in response as Holly abruptly jumped off the bed and bolted from the door. Momo meowed in annoyance as she lifted her own head. If cats could glare, she would be doing so at Yoongi. The male rolled his eyes playfully and bent over, kissing the top of the cat's head. "Sorry Mo," he whispered. He turned on his heel and made his way back down the stairs.

Once in the kitchen, Yoongi opened up a few cupboards, wondering where the dog food had ended up. He could never remember which one it was in. Eventually he found it and dishes some into Holly's food bowl. He set it on the counter while Holly said by his feet whining. "Yeah, I hear you, just one second," he replied. He grabbed a wine glass from the cabinet and poured himself a glass of wine. He grabbed the glass with one hand and Holly's food dish in the other and headed for the balcony door. Pushing it open with his foot, Holly and Yoongi made their way onto the back patio. He took a seat in his usual chair and set Holly's food dish by his feet. Holly wasted no time in shoving his face into his food dish and gobbling down his food.

Yoongi lent back in his chair and let out a deep sigh of content. It was moments like this that he enjoyed. The quiet moments when he could be alone and collect his thoughts. There was nothing like coming home to spend some quality time with his dog.

Yoongi took a sip of his wine as Holly finished up eating and nudged his bowl with his nose. The dog then scampered towards the door leading back to the house and picked up his ball. Holly then trotted back to him and dropped it at his feet. Yoongi picked it up and chucked it into the air.

"Nice throw,"

Yoongi turned his head quickly, glancing over his shoulder behind him. A large grin spread across his face as he set his wine glass down on small table the rested beside his chair. Jimin was leaning against the doorframe with a smile on his own face. The younger dressed in a pair of sweats and a white t-shirt. He'd obviously had changed since arriving home. He was currently supporting a baby pink hair colour, as per request of Kimi. Yoongi raised a hand and made a come here motion with his finger. Jimin pushed off the doorframe, and sauntered over to where Yoongi was seated and straddled his lap. Yoongi cupped the sides of his face and pulled him on for a long kiss.

"Hi," Yoongi whispered against his lips.

"Hi,"

Jimin smiled into the kiss, and rested his hands against the sides of Yoongi's neck. Yoongi could feel the cold metal of his wedding band against against his skin. That only made him smile more.

"And how is my husband?" Yoongi questioned, leaning back slightly. Jimin let out a soft laugh and brushed some hair out of his face.

"Your husband is tired," Jimin responded. He picked up the wine glass and took a sip. Holly came bounding back over to where they were. While Jimin drank, Yoongi tossed the ball again, and together, the two of them watched Holly sprint after it with glee. "What about you?" Jimin questioned. "Have things finally calmed down at work?"

"Mmm," Yoongi nodded, taking the glass from Jimin. He took another sip.

"Things have officially died down, which means..." Yoongi said, setting the glass down again. He placed his hands on Jimin's waist and pulled him close to his body, wrapping one arm around him. "-that we can finally have some alone time,"

Jimin giggled as Yoongi brought him in for another kiss. It was short, sweet and before long Jimin was pulling away. "You're forgetting one thing," he whispered.

"What's that?" Yoongi mused.

The screen door to the house slid open. "Daddy!"

Yoongi chuckled, pulling away from Jimin and turning his body to see a little girl, dressed in a white dress and pigtails. Yoongi's heart melted over how adorable she looked.

Kimi was now six years old, and growing up too quickly for Yoongi's liking. He could remember the first day they brought her home. Jimin hadn't stopped crying over how tiny she was, and how he didn't have want her to grown up. It made Jimin emotional now that she was old enough to walk and talk. Kimi was turning out to be very independent, wanting to do things by herself and only coming to them if she absolutely needed them. Yoongi couldn't help but get pouty when she wanted to dress herself because as much as he hated to admit it, he liked dressing her up.

Yoongi scooped her up into his arms and peppered her face with hundreds of kisses, earning loud giggles from her. "Look at my baby girl," Yoongi exclaimed, resting the girl on his lap and fixing her dress. "You look so pretty,"

"Daddy picked it out for me," Kimi told looking up at Jimin.

"Daddy has good taste," Yoongi noted.

"Daddy I drew you a picture today in class," Kimi said, changing the subject and climbing off of Yoongi's lap.

"You did?"

"Mmm hmm," she said and took off towards the house again. As Kimi went inside, a little boy stumbled outside, clutching a piece of paper in his hands. He wobbled towards them with a serious expression, and if people didn't know any better, they'd say it matched Yoongi's grumpy face. His light brown hair was messy, probably from the events of his day, and his shirt was a bit messy but he made up for it in cuteness.

Chen was four years old, and much like with Kimi, neither of them wanted Chen to grow old. When they brought Chen home, it was Yoongi who cried uncontrollably. Of course he had cried with Kimi but this was different. Jimin stilled teased him about it today. Chen was their little boy and much to Yoongi's delight, was not as independent as his sister. He still enjoyed being held and tucked into bed at night.

Jimin scooped the little boy up in his arms and kissed the top of his head. "Wanna show Daddy your picture too?" He asked in a gentle tone. Chen nodded his head. "Go on baby,"

Chen handed Yoongi the paper, with a serious look, like he might cry if Yoongi didn't like it. "Is this Holly?" Yoongi asked with a soft smile.

On the paper was a crayon sketch of a dog. It was a very well drawn picture for a four year old who only had access to blue and orange crayons.

Chen nodded his head enthusiastically and then pointed to the small drawing next to it with a grin. "And dat's Momo!" He exclaimed.

"Its very good buddy," Yoongi said, kissing his cheek.

"Daddy me too, me too!"

Kimi had returned and thrust another piece of paper into his hands. She wasted no time, and jumped into a summary of what was on the page. "That's you, and Daddy, and Chen!"

"It's very good baby girl," Yoongi told her. "And is this you?" He pointed to a short figure in a dress.

"Uh huh,"

"They're both very good drawings," Jimin added.

"Can we put them on the fridge?" Chen asked. "So that Seo-Ah can see them when she comes over,"

"I think that is a very good idea," Yoongi said. He picked Kimi up into his arms while Jimin held Chen. He whistled for Holly, who left his ball in the field to come join them as they headed back into the house.

Back inside, the four of them carefully hung the pictures on the fridge, which turned out to be a difficult job as there were a ton of other pictures on their fridge from previous weeks.

"We might need a bigger fridge," Jimin mused.

"We should get a magnetic board," Yoongi suggested. "We can find somewhere for it,"

Once the pictures were hung, Jimin shooed the kids away to get ready for dinner. Kimi took her brother by the hand and pulled him off towards the stairs. "Use the railing!" Yoongi called after them.

"Okay!"

Jimin smiled and kissed Yoongi's forehead before opening the fridge and pulling out a few containers for dinner.

"I have good news," he said, as Yoongi grabbed the plates. Yoongi cocked an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

"I got a called from the agency today,"

Yoongi halted all actions.

"And?" He whispered.

"We got approved,"

Yoongi almost dropped the plates as excitement rushed through him. Jimin laughed and Yoongi wrapped him in a bone crushing hug, head buried in his shoulder. He felt like crying tears of joy.

"When?" Was the first word out of his mouth when they pulled away from each other.

"This weekend," Jimin replied, earning a shocked gasp from Yoongi as he cupped his face with his hands.

"Really?"

Jimin nodded.

"Baby! That's so exciting!" Yoongi pulled him in for another hug. "Our little family is growing!"

Happiness filled both men as it hit them that they would get to bring home their third baby in just a few days. Soon, Kimi and Chen would have another sibling. A little girl named Hae.

"I love you Min Jimin," Yoongi whispered.

"And I love you Min Yoongi," Jimin replied. "Thank you for giving me a better life,"

"Thank you..." Yoongi parroted. "For giving me my new dream,"
