The rest of the afternoon, Kato had brought Ichinose to the amusement park and spent the rest of the time there.
Both of them totally looked like a couple and the group obviously didn't like it. They were seething in anger.
"Kotone-san, are you sure this is all right?" Ichinose asked, looking around the crowds as he was licking from his ice cream that both of them bought earlier.
"If you're worried about getting spot on since your debut or maybe people see you as HAYATO, you don't have to worry about it." Kato reassured as she ate, not lick, but ate her chocolate ice cream.
"Okay..."
Since Ichinose had his ice cream on his left hand whereas Kato had hers on her right hand, and the two of them were side by side, Kato decided to take it up a notch.
"Tokiya..."
"Hm?"
"Don't blame me for this."
"What do you mean?"
Kato's answer was silent but she slid her tiny hand in his and intertwined their fingers. Of course, this made the dark-blue hair boy blushed in embarrassment.
"K-k-kotone-san?"
With the group~
"THEY'RE HOLDING HANDS!" Kurusu screeched and was about to jump out from his hiding spot but was held back by Shinomiya and Ittoki.
"Syo-chan! Calm down!" Shinomiya said.
"CALM DOWN?! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN WHEN BOTH OF THEM ARE INTERWINING THEIR HANDS?!" (AN: Now that I think about it... You can imagine Zenitsu here 😂😂)
"Syo-kun!" Ittoki was trying his best to hold down the struggling boy.
"LET ME GO!"
Back with the two~
"Did you hear something?" Ichinose asked.
"Huh? No. Is something wrong?" Kato looked at him with worry..
"No, it's nothing." Ichinose gave her a reassuring smile. "Let's just continue."
"Sure. Let's go." said the girl as she pulled Ichinose's hand along as his cheeks were still slightly tinted with pink.
So the two of them were going around the amusement park just like any other couple would do.
Going to a haunted house.
Riding the roller coaster.
Trying out desserts.
Taking pictures from the photo booth.
Both of them were enjoying themselves to the fullest. And in their mind, they thought the same thing about each other.
It's the first time I've seen her/him having so much fun.
It was already in the evening and the crowd was starting to lessen.
And if we're talking about amusement parks, we definitely can't miss the final attraction. Especially for couples.
The Ferris Wheel.
With hands still intertwining, the two of them headed to the ferris wheel.
The group had already lost sight of them earlier until Ittoki spotted the two of them already in one of the carts.
"Natsuki! It's all your fault that we've lost them!" Kurusu yelled.
"I'm sorry! But there was a Piyo-chan booth and I couldn't help it!" Shinomiya whined while hugging a Piyo-chan plush.
"What are we going to do now?" Ittoki slumped his shoulder.
"Don't worry. I bought these just in case." Jinguji said as he took out five binoculars, handing each of them one.
"Wow! Nice job, Ren!" Kurusu exclaimed.
"Of course. You're not the only ones that don't want the Little Rose and Icchi to be together all lovey-dovey, you know." Jinguji, although had a close-eyed smile, you could actually see a dark aura behind him.
"Ren, you're scary..." Ittoki muttered as he, Shinomiya and Kurusu were shivering in fear.
Hijirikawa just took the binoculars and immediately looked through it.
"Masa-kun is definitely worried." Shinomiya said which the others nodded before everyone did the same thing as well.
In the cart, Ichinose and Kato were sitting opposite each other.
Throughout this whole date, Kato was calm whereas Ichinose, even though with a calm look plastered on his face, he cannot stop the fast beating of his heart.
Especially now.
Ichinose was staring at the aquamarine girl who was looking outside the cart as it slowly moved.
Since it was already in the evening, the brilliantly red and orange light was hitting on the girl's features which made her even more gorgeous than she already is.
"Tokiya."
"Yes?"
The girl closed her eyes for a while before turning to look at him.
"Did you enjoy today?"
"Of course. I'm glad that I get to hang out with you." Ichinose said as he gave a tiny smile.
"Really? That's great then." Kato gave another smile in return which obviously didn't stop the flush from his cheeks.
"You should smile more, you know. Especially with that handsome face of yours. If girls are not even captivated by it, they are bound to now." Kato chuckled, not knowing that she just made the male blushed even more.
"Th-thank you, Kotone-san."
"Please, drop the '-san'. Everyone besides Jinguji already called me without any honorifics." She chuckled once again.
"Then... Kotone..." Ichinose barebly mumbled out her name but Kato still heard him.
"That's better." Kato laughed softly after that.
"Why did you want to go out with me, K-kotone? You know that romance is forbidden, right? Shining-san will definitely be angered and disappointed by this." Ichinose said with worry laced in his tone.
"It doesn't matter. Aren't you happy that you get to go out with me?" Kato said in a serious tone before standing up and walking closer to the male.
"O-of course I am! Ah! I-I mean..." In a blushing mess, Ichinose had no idea what to say. He has already lost his cool.
"Hm..."
Kato leaned down to his level before slowly closing in the gap between them. Their noses were already touching each other.
"K-k-k-kotone! W-w-we shouldn't do t-this h-here!" Ichinose was already a sputtering mess.
"Don't worry. No one is looking. We're already at the top of the ferris wheel." Kato whispered and was closing in even more.
"Kotone!"
With the group~~~
"AHHH!"
"DON'T KISS HIM, KOTONE!!!"
"NOOOOOO!!!"
The five of them, well mostly Shinomiya, Kurusu and Ittoki, were screaming when they saw what was happening through the binoculars which earned confused stares from the passersby. Jinguji and Hijirikawa, oh Hijirikawa, were just gritting their teeth in anger.
Back to the two~
When there was just an inch between two of their lips, a sudden call abruptly stopped them.
Ichinose flinched at the sudden sound whereas Kato sighed softly before smirking.
She parted away and took her phone out from her purse. She answered the call and put on loudspeaker.
"STOP IT! STOP!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!?!"
"Just as what you saw, I was about to kiss Tokiya before you interrupted such a moment. You're so mean, Yuuji." Kato faked pouting.
"THERE'S NO WAY YOU'RE GIVING AWAY YOUR FIRST KISS TO SOMEONE THAT WE DON'T KNOW!"
"Oh come on. Father and Mother had already seen him when they were trying to get me back."
"THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE KNOW HIM!!! IT WAS JUST THAT ONE TIME! UNLIKE MASATO-KUN, WE'VE ONLY SEEN HIM ONCE!"
"What's the big deal anyway? It was your idea after all." Kato shrugged.
"HAAAH?! IT WAS JUST A DARE! A DARE THAT YOU GO OUT WITH SOMEONE! NOT INTERTWINING EACH OTHER'S HAND AND K-KISS!"
"But that's what all couples do, no?" Kato titled her head innocently even though the male from the other side couldn't see it.
"YOU GUYS AREN'T A COUPLE!!!"
From this whole conversation, Ichinose Tokiya was so confused as he stared at the girl whose back was facing him.
Idea? Dare? So Kato didn't actually want to go out with me? Many thoughts ran through his mind.
"THAT'S IT!!! THE DARE IS OVER!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK RYOMA-SAMA WOULD SAY?!?!"
"Pssh. It's not like you record everything to my Father."
"YOU'RE DAMN LUCKY I DIDN'T!!"
"Yep. Thank you, Yuuji."
"Ugh. That's it. I'm ending the call. You win again, Kotone."
"You know, this is on loudspeaker. Speaking my name so casually..."
"YOU F--"
With that, Kato had ended the call and she turned around to look at Ichinose's shocked look.
"Well, you heard everything.I'm really really sorry for dragging you into my situation, Tokiya." Kato sheepishly said to him.
"... It's all right..."
"Are you sure? You seem disappointed." Kato said while frowning sadly.
"Yeah... Let's go? We're already back down." said Ichinose as he stood up from his seat and headed towards the exit.
"Oh, right." Kato followed behind and the two of them left the cart.
The two of them were walking side by side towards the exit of the amusement park.
There was an awkward silence throughout the whole walk and Kato was worried that she had angered her friend in some way. She was walking behind him as she kept casting a worried look towards him.
"Tokiya... I'm sor--"
Before Kato could apologize, Ichinose stopped in his tracks which made her stop as well.
"Tokiya?"
Ichinose turned around and his bangs covered his eyes.
"I'm sor--"
Again, she was cut off.
However, she was surprised at the sudden action from him.
Ichinose Tokiya had just leaned down and kissed on the girl's forehead.
Kato took a moment to register what had happened and blushed at his bold actions.

He stood back up straight before slightly smirking down at the girl.
"That's for tricking me."
Ichinose turned around and headed to the exit, leaving the flustered girl behind.
About five seconds later, Kato came back to her senses and shouted at him.
"TOKIYA!!!"
Ichinose just chuckled before he felt some soft punches on his side.
"Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!"
Kato continued punching him in a playful manner as she pouted and Ichinose was just laughing.
"You were the one who made the first move."
"Idiot!"
These two definitely had a blast this day.
