KALIM: Alright! Jamil's back in perfect condition and we're done with our holiday homework!

Hazel was happy that Kalim was happy that they were on better terms than just master and servant now. It reminded her of her family and how they treated other families allied to them. The rest of the holidays seem to pass by for Hazel as she hanged out with her two soulmates. She also had some gifts sent to her from her friends. Mrs. Weasley sent her special fudge and treacle tart Hazel loved. Ron and Hermione probably heard that she gained soulmates so Ron sent over a 'whip of love to keep them in order' and Hermione; to Hazel's embarrassment sent a book regarding how to keep a romance strong. Ginny; the little sister she never had, actually sent a selection of 'Victoria's Secret' teddy aprons. She found out as well, huh?
As for the others, they sent cards, some decent clothing, and other trinkets that were decent. And even though she received marriage proposals, there was a lot less than usual. Apparently, there were still some persistent suitors.

Hazel had been showing the new transfer student around the place. Her name was Selina Kama, a half-blood who came from the famous Kama family. She was also half-Indian, half-African which explained her foreign appearance. Thankfully since the first wizarding war, the Kama family became believers of blood-equality in magic affairs. Her dad was the current head of the family and the Minister of the African Ministry of Magic, and her mother was the princess of a powerful half-blood family her Indian homeland.
ACE: Heya, Hazel! Happy New Year.
Hazel: Ace, Deuce! How was your holidays and did you guys get my gifts?
Ace: Great! And yes! I loved that Deilluminator, mom even said it's useful.
Deuce: And my mom especially likes the clock you sent. (Then he sees Selina) Oh, hello? Are you a new student here?
Selina: (smiled) Yes, I'm Selina Kama, a new transfer student of Mortishackle.
JACK: Stop blocking the way, guys.
ACE: Oh, Jack! You look less tanned somehow.
JACK: Really? I guess it's 'cause we went skiing during vacation.

Selina: Selina Kama. Transfer student. I've been placed in Mortishackle, but I'll be in second year.
Kalim: Hey! Hazel! I see there are the others-oh! Who's this?
Jamil was also with him, but when he saw Selina, his face suddenly felt very warm.
Hazel: Oh, Selina, these are the guys I told you about. Kalim, one of my soulmates, and Jamil. Guys, this is Selina Kama. Her family fought alongside my predecessors in the First Wizarding War.
Selina: (Shakes Jamil's hand) It's nice to meet you both. I transferred into second year with you guys, so we'll be seeing a lot of each other. I hope we can get along.
While Kalim eagerly agreed, Jamil looked like he actually was tongue-tied.
Ace: (whispering to Deuce) Looks like he'll get over Hazel quick.

The young man turned to see Hazel standing rather than crouching to his height. "Is something wrong?"

"There's no need to be a stranger with me. We are in the same class after all. It's okay to call me Hazel." Hazel said, and Epel seemed to be more at ease.
