Cho smiled back at him and answered "Luna is a wonderful person. She has a great imagination, and believes in a lot of things that no one else doesn't. She's also brutally honest and will tell you what she thinks." Harry nodded. "So, she has a Gryffindor trait."

He paused for a moment to let all of his words sink in.
"I thank everyone who answered the questions. This is exactly what I wanted to show all of you. Being in a certain house doesn't make you constrain to the stereotype of that particular house. I wish to point out that your definitions of the houses were negative. Ambition, which is a prominent trait of Slytherin House, is something that everyone needs in their life. For example, finding a job that you like, or to do well in a class, to stand up for what you believe in. I can go on about this. Intelligence is something very vital to every generation; finding new spells and potions that we take for granted. But remember that someone had to create those very spells and potions at some point or another. Loyalty is the very foundation of any relationship, either romantic or platonic. And bravery is needed when others are afraid to do something."
He looked around and was amazed to see people hanging on to each and his every word. "I don't mean to bore any of you with a speech. All I want is that all of you must see that no one house is eternally dark or light. We all are in-charge of our own personalities and traits. I just want all of you to know that I will not tolerate any sort of bigotry in this club; be it their blood or house. When you are here, you are not here as students of your house, but as students of Hogwarts. And that's the only thing that I care about."
He looked over at Flitwick, who was staring at him with the same expression that everyone else had. "Okay. That's enough of talking for now, I think. Like I said when I announced about this club, we're going to start with the basic spells from first year."
When he heard the groans, he held up a hand. "If you already know these spells, you'll move forward quickly and I'll be able to make a decision tonight as to who will move on to the second class. Now, I want all of you to pair off and practice the Jelly legs Jinx, a common first year defence spell."
By the end of the lesson, there were only a few groups who were even able to get the OWL required spells correctly. At the end of the class period, he called out the names of the students he wanted to stay behind. Most of the Gryffindors that he knew from fifth through seventh years stayed with two from fourth year, all of the fourth through seventh from Ravenclaw, sixth and seventh and a handful of fifth years from Hufflepuff, and only a few from Slytherin.
He told the beginner class that they would be meeting the next afternoon at 4:30 pm to get started and dismissed them. As soon as they left, Harry closed the door with a wave of his wand and turned to the students. "Alright, all of you showed that you are ahead of the others, and I believe that you will all move up to the upper class. If any of you start struggling, I hope that you will either come to me, or seek help from another classmate. The difference between the beginners class and you is that you'll be moving faster, will learn more spells, and also learn to incorporate them in duels. Are there any questions?" Everyone shook their heads, so he nodded. "Alright. I'll see you all next week, same day, same time."
