26. The Quidditch Match - 3

PREVIOUSLY IN JILY RETURNS

The current team of Gryffindor house arrive at Potter Castle and they start practicing in the Quidditch pitch.

Meanwhile, the Gryffindor Senior Team (GST) were in the sitting room. James was the one talking. "According to what Remus said, they're a pretty powerful team. Harry's the one we've got to look out for. So, Fabian, since you're the seeker, keep a lookout. Marlene, Edgar and I will make sure that their team's keeper is confused as to who has the quaffle and tries to stop the wrong person from scoring. Frank and Sirius, you guys know what to do. It's our usual plans guys, alright?" Everyone nodded. "Okay. Let's go practice."

When the Senior team reached the pitch, they saw the Junior team mounting off their brooms. All of their faces were flushed and looked as though they had practiced thoroughly. "Had a good practice session?" Asked Frank. "Yes absolutely, Mr. Longbottom" said Harry. The teams nodded to each other and went their ways. The Senior team had practiced the way they used to do when they were in school and by the time they finished and went back inside, it was nearly dark.

The kids were already watered and fed by the time they went in. Katie's, Alicia's and Angelina's parents allowed them to stay over at Potter Castle with the condition that boys and girls were not allowed into each other's rooms after 10:00 pm in the night. It was the same case with Ginny as she and Harry were seeing each other more than just friends.

Other than the team the above-mentioned people, Neville and Susan had arrived via the floo network and were sitting around the campfire, eating marshmallows and s'mores, in the back yard near the porch. It was then they heard the floo roar once again. When Harry went to check, he was pleasantly surprised to find Hermione waiting patiently in the floo room.

"Harry!" she squealed and gave him a hug. "Hey Hermione! How come you're here?" "Mr. Weasley got me here. He first apparated me over to the Burrow from my house and I used their floo to get here." She replied. "Well, you'll be sharing a room with Ginny if that's fine with you. So, leave your stuff there once I show you the room and get to the back yard. You can unpack once we retire to bed." She nodded and followed Harry to her room. Before they could go down, Harry said "Hey, if you want, you can use magic as long as you stay inside these wards. It has the same ward that allows underage magic at Hogwarts."

Hermione was ecstatic when she heard this. She already decided that she was going to practice all the spells she learnt from first through fourth year as they may appear in O.W.Ls this year. Harry just shook his head and smiled. Everyone were surprised to see Hermione. They chattered around for some more time and went to bed early as tomorrow was match day.
