The fear that resides inside the walls of his unhealthy thoughts will always be there. The fear that he carried right for the start.
It was only her. It was only her that made it disappear for even just a moment. All the things he thought he'd never be able to do, was made possible because of her.
The sight of her soft hair, dreamy eyes and cute smile. The sound of her voice, everything was beautiful to him.
Even though he can only imagine what she truly looks like.
Jungkook lived his life with the burden of being blind with him. It was utter shit. He didn't have any reason to live his life anymore so he became reckless.
But that was before she came.
"Ggukkie!!" she squealed, plopping down on the bed beside him. "You look bothered. What's wrong?"
But it was all coming back. The fear and insecurities he had was back once again.
"kook." he felt a hand on his cheek and he flinched, as if he was out of his trance.
"Ah. Nothing y/n." he smiled.
"Tell me." she whispered, moving to sit in front of him. "What's wrong my love?"
He looked down, a tear cascading down his cheek. "Why did you choose me y/n?" he asked.
"Out of all the boys out there, why me?" he asked, tears continuing to roll down his cheeks. "Why a stupid, useless, blind man?"
"You deserve so much better than me. Why did you stay when you know I'm not worthy? " he wiped his tears as he was now unconsciously sobbing. "You deserve a man who will love you and cherish you. A man who can see you and praise you. You—"
"Don't you do that already?" she whispered. He slowly looked up, knowing she was in front of him. "Don't you cherish me already?"
He stayed silent as she reached for his hand, slowly connecting it with her lips as she kissed his hand. "Don't you already praise me?"
"Jungkook, the reason I stayed was because you love me despite the fact you can't see me." a tear rolled down her cheek and jungkook felt it as it grazed his hand. "You praise me even though you can't see me."
She let go of his hand and instead cupped his cheeks and began wiping his tears. "These imperfections of yours bring out your true self jungkook"
"I stayed with you because I love you and because you love me for who I truly am no matter what I look." she kissed his eyes individually.
"I can be your eyes. I can show you everything you can't see. I'll describe every place we go if I need to." she smiled. "I'll do everything for you."
He leaned forward, hugging her as she grinned.
"Don't ever think like that again okay?" He nodded, still sobbing. "Now let's go sleep."
They laid down on the bed facing each other. "Goodnight ggukkie." she whispered, kissing his forehead. "I love you."
"I love you too." he whispered and closed his eyes, feeling himself calm down.
