At a mansion, a certain girl was going through her mail, mostly marriage proposals, which she threw into the fire, and letters of inheritance leaving their wealth to her.
This girl was Hazel Genevieve Potter, Girl-Who-Lived, Woman-Who-Conquered, and so on.
It didn't even help that she was the most powerful witch that ever lived now, and ever since the war, Hazel felt listless. People, mostly reminates of the Dark Lord's army wanting to get 'revenge', except for the Malfoys and Burkes the latter who knew better than to tangle with the 'strongest witch', and they end up losing to her and lost everything to her.
Then again, she had too many family titles and wealth than she knew what to do with it.
Those were Avery, Carrow, Flint, Bulstrode, Parkinson, Selwyn, Nott, Travers, and Yaxley who were all foolish enough to try to become Dark Lords and overthrow the savior of the Wizarding World, but she let them keep their lives rather than letting them die and they were taken to Azkaban.
And when she won against Voldemort for good, she also gained access to the Gaunt, Slytherin, Cadimus' vault, and Riddle, even though the latter was a muggle family. These on top of her triumph against Quierrel and Lockheart in her first and second years.
In addition some like Slughorn, Flamel, Sr. Crotch and even Dumbledore himself before he died, willed all their fortunes to her since they had no heirs or all their offspring died in the Second War.

But, as it was said before, Hazel felt listless being in this position. She had enough money to supply even the next ten generations in her family, and she really didn't have to work.
Right now she was busy going about in an attic, and she had found a mirror she never saw before. For some reason, the mirror reminded her of the Magic Mirror in Snow White as she was cleaning it. After she cleaned it, She saw her reflection in a dark background, and she felt like having to get her grief of fame out.
Although she didn't know that this mirror was magic, and something within was listening.

Hazel looked up and swore she heard someone.

Hazel then turned her gaze to the mirror, which now had greenish blazes in it.
'Truly you are the most beautiful of all'
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Who is the...' As the voice faded.
Hazel made a face and started to worry as she went closer to the mirror. She cursed her curiosity and luck at this.
'Those who are guided by the Dark Mirror,
As long as your heart desires,
Take the hand that appears in the mirror.'
At that a hand did emerge from the mirror.
'Flames that turn even stars into ashes,
Ice that imprison even time,
Great tree that swallow even the sky,
Don't be afraid of the power of darkness,
Come now, show your power.
Mine, theirs, and yours,
There's only little time left for us.
Do not let go of that hand, at all costs.'
Hazel knew she would be in a lot of trouble, but she had her stuff on her, so at least she would be prepared.
'Well, here goes nothing...' Hazel thought as she took the hand.
The rest was a blur.
