Professor McGonagall watched as the students filed in for the life lesson.
Surprisingly every single couple were on very good terms, which made her heart soar.
As soon as she heard about the law, she couldn't help but feel like she had already let her students down.
She tried everything in her power to prevent it from happening , everything.
But fate was already sealed and she just had to watch it unfold.
However, the news she had to deliver today was not going to be one they'd like to hear.
As everyone settled down in front of their tables in their comfortable sofa type chairs she stood and addressed everyone.
" Good morning students.
I hope everyone is well and healthy.
Just before we start our lesson I just wanted to deliver you information from the ministry of magic regarding the magic law.
The new deadlines have been released to ensure that within the next two years, you are happily married and are either expecting or have a child.
Today is the 10th of November.
By the 10th of January you should be engaged and by the 31st of July next year you should be married."
Absolute silence.
Minerva had a sip of water.
" I just want to remind you, that you are not the only ones going through with this.
And just before anyone asks - if the deadlines are not met - ministry action will be taken upon both individuals. "
" Now for our lesson .... "
Y/n didn't move as the professor's voice started to drown in her thoughts.
Engaged and then married within 8 months.
She was only eighteen for crying out loud. She was so blinded by the bliss of developing feelings that she totally forgot about the whole purpose of their coupling.
Regardless, her feelings for Draco didn't change but she felt rushed.
She was scared to look at Draco - he did not handle situations well.
She was getting ready for the awkwardness and silence.
Y/n would push things to the side and deal with them in private- Draco on the other hand would turn into a cold silent corpse- the issue clouding his everything.
Y/n knew this from before this whole law - his 6th year was terrible. Blaise told her himself , nearly breaking down over losing his best friend to something he didn't even know about.
" I want you to turn to your partner and discuss future plans and your personal future goals so you both have a good idea and can work around each other. You have to work together for yourselves and for your future. "
And with a wave of her wand she cast a silencing charm that would only let the couple hear themselves.
Y/n slowly turned her head to look at Draco.
His hand hadn't left her waist, which was a good sign.
He turned and had a strained smile on his face.
" So, what are you going to do after Hogwarts? "
Y/n asked him slowly , trying to clear the air.
" I was thinking about going into professional quidditch for a few years and then when I've had enough, go into potions and maybe start my own potions business. Become a chemist.
What about you y/n? "
" As stupid as this sounds , I really want to be a model and designer.
I know we don't have that many wizard or witch models but I've seen how much of an impact it has in the muggle world.
And I would love to make sure that we don't set beauty standards that are unrealistic in our world that could cause individuals to feel uncomfortable in their bodies. I want to design robes and clothes that will accentuate everyone's beauty. It's something I really want to implement in our society. People come in different shapes, sizes, colours and blood. At the end of the day we're all still human.... "
Draco watched as y/n carried on speaking about designing clothes and modeling to break boundaries and stared at her as her eyes shone bright with passion.
In that second, he promised he would make sure she reached her dreams and he would be standing right beside her when she opened her first shop, walked her first runway, start her first event. He would be right next to her and support her.
Her happiness was his happiness.
" Draco, DRACO "
Y/n said with amusement in her tone.
" Am I boring you? " she said laughing slightly.
He shook his head and pecked her lips.
" That sounds like an amazing career. Don't worry. I'll be there every step of the way for you. "
Y/n smiled widely and held his hand.
" And I'll be there in the stands cheering you on. And after every game I'll be there waiting on the side of the pitch to greet you. And when you move onto potions or whatever - I will be right by your side. "
Suddenly the deadlines didn't seem to matter as they both realised something that day.
They were starting to love one another.

Blaise, Hermione, y/n and Draco decided to go to Hogsmead a week after learning about the deadlines.
Hermione and y/n thought they were just going for the day and just to have some lunch and shop.
Draco and Blaise had completely different ideas.
" Blaise and I need to go to the quidditch store to check on any updates on brooms and we need to get some manly items. Shall we meet at the new cafe at one for lunch? "
Hermione nodded
" That's perfect, we'll roam around, we need to get a few things either way. "
Blaise quickly pecked Hermione's lips and y/n kissed Draco's cheek.
Draco smirked at her shyness and walked off with Blaise.
Hermione looked at y/n before they burst out laughing.
" aghh now they're gone we can visit that new racy store. "
Before y/n could reply, Hermione grabbed her hand and dragged her to the store.
As soon as they entered they were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and elegant the store was.
" Hey ladies, my name is Madame Ree and this is my new store - She Knows x . Feel free to look around and I do have a few opening sales on some items."
As soon as the beautiful curvy women walked away y/n turned to Hermione and looked at her in bewilderment.
Hermione giggled, uncharacteristically and together they walked towards the panties and underwear.
Hermione picked up a emerald set of panties and a beautiful bra and put it in her black tote bag they were given by the owner.
Y/n looked at Hermione.
" y/n please stop staring at me like a fish. Me and Blaise are very much in love. " Hermione said amusingly.
" I can tell Hermione, but you've got to give me credit. I didn't know you guys loved to dance dance."
They laughed and continued to walk around. They came across a set of pyjamas.
There was a silky pair of three quarter legs with lace at the bottom and a beautiful floral button up.
It wasn't scandalous but it was beautiful.
Y/n picked one up before she turned around to Hermione holding a black set of panties and a sleek bra.
Finally giving up and just sighing, y/n smiled and took it of Hermione, and put the items in her shopper bag.
Together they looked around and both found a pretty set of pyjamas.
Y/n picked up a a black silk camisole top with a pair of silk three quarter length pyjama pants that were dark blue.
Hermione picked up a mauve camisole top with a pair of dark pink silk three quarter lengths.
They talked to eachother as they went to the tills to pay for their purchases. It was around 12 o'clock when they left, giving them an hour to still wander around.
Blaise and Draco were a few miles away in London, with obvious permission from McGonnagal.
They were shopping for engagement rings for their significant others.
As rushed as they initially felt, they couldn't help but see why their specific other was the perfect match for them.
Blaise was a witty and cheeky personality - Hermione was perfect for him and kept him grounded.
They had been in the shop for nearly an hour.
Draco had suggested they go by themselves and roam around so they could pick the perfect ring.
Just before Draco gave up, he found the perfect ring glistening on its rack.
He quickly called over the shop owner and selected an emerald case for the ring.
It was simple yet stunning.
Perfect for y/n.
Blaise had already packed his small blue box away into his inside pocket.
The rose gold ring would look beautiful on Hermione - a reflection of her beauty
Together they set off to meet the girls at the cafe, as it was nearly 1 o'clock.

It had been a week since their Hogsmead trip and it was quidditch practise again. They had a match the next day against, you guessed it, Gryffindor.
Y/n and Theo were quickly running a few drills between themselves.
Theodore Nott was Padma Patils boyfriend - both were actually in a relationship before the war and the law so they were lucky to be matched together. They knew they were meant for each other before they were even coupled together, which y/n found beautiful.
Draco called everyone together and they went over their game tactics and plans.
" Chasers - always make sure that quaffle is in the other side of the field away from our hoops.
Splitter, you're one of the best keepers I've come across - just keep doing what you're doing and push harder.
Y/n and Theo, if that bludger comes anywhere near anyone, hit it in any direction.
They have beaters for a reason. "
Draco looked at y/n specifically - she smirked - she was a slytherin after all - and slytherins play rough.
" I'll have a nice chat with Potter before I try to beat his ass.
We can win this game and that cup.
This team is elite."
And with that, they hugged as a full team in a perfect circle and punched eachothers back twice with their fists, in a synchronised motion before leaving to rest before the big game the next day.

It was the evening when they reached their dorm. They had a full day of classes and then quidditch practise. Normally Friday's were relaxed and chill , but they did have a game the next day.
Draco quickly showered, with the bathroom door open as he talked to y/n , as she was sorting out stuff in their bedroom.
Y/n quickly came across the items she bought from the shop the other day and almost gasped as she remembered them.
"What happened?" Draco shouted from behind the shower curtain.
" Nothing hun,
( please don't hate me for using that word reader x )
just going through some of my clothes"
The shower stopped and the pittering of water came to a silence. After a few minutes Draco walked out in a pair of pyjama pants, shirtless.
He liked to sleep shirtless, and y/n didn't mind at all.
At first it was hard for her to breathe as they shared the same bed, but after some time she got over the embarrassment and enjoyed laying next to him and holding him in bed.
Y/n pecked his cheek as she held some clothes in her hand and it was her turn now.
While she was showering, they talked about random things that made them happy.
They realised they loved one another company, just holding a conversation was so comfortable.
As she finished showering, y/n chose to wear her black silky camisole, that was basically a silk vest, with the silky dark blue pants that ended at her lower calves.
She held her wand at her hair and dried it before setting it in a loose pony. When she walked out Draco stopped mid conversation.
She looked at him and raised her eyebrow.
" what ? "
She asked.
He stared at her arms and her shoulders.
Her complexion was beautiful.
If he looked carefully, he could see that small scratches scattered across her arms from before, but they were beautiful on his y/n.
She shook her head when she got no reply and switched the lights off and got in bed next to him.
As soon as she turned around, Draco caught her lips in a kiss.
Something was different though, she could feel him holding himself back.
Y/n stopped and stared at him.
" what's wrong Draco "
She asked.
" Do you know how crazy you're driving me with your pyjamas? You look beautiful, and I don't know how long I'll be able to hold it in before I do something I'll regret."
Y/n smiled shyly before looking up at him and smirking.
" Then don't regret it. "
He laughed at her and kissed her senseless before they both laid down in each other's embrace.
" I want to be yours and I want you to be mine magically before we go any further.
I want you to feel like a goddess "
Y/n smiled up at him and couldn't stop the tears forming in her eyes.
How lucky did she get.
She was always insecure and nervous when she thought of going further with Draco .
This soothed her immensely.
She could feel her eyes getting heavy. But before she fell asleep she turned to Draco.
" I love you. "
"I love you too y/n"
And with that, they fell asleep in each others arms.
i should just end it there and call it a day.

Everytime I write a new chapter the plot swerves and changes.
