Yoongi glanced up from his food when you walked in the door.

"There you are. I thought I'd have to send a search party."

"You're the one who told me to leave," you reminded him as you started looking for something to eat yourself.

"That doesn't mean you need to stay out all day." He sighed, running his hand through his hair.

You rolled your eyes. "I was with Jin, just like you said. Relax." There was silence as you picked out a frozen dinner and went to heat it up. "Is there a reason you need a personal driver?"

"I can drive myself but my dad says it's part of our status, to not have to drive anywhere. Jin's family is in hospitality already so it wasn't much of a stretch for him to take the job."

"But wasn't he a groomsman at the wedding?"

He narrowed his eyes at you. "Yeah, so what?"

"So nothing. It was nice of you to include him, that's all," you said as you sat down across from him at the table. "It seems like you guys are close."

Yoongi didn't respond. His relationship with Jin wasn't something his parents understood. They never got close to their own driver like that. The only reason Jin got to be a part of the wedding party at all was that you'd kept your maid of honor. The groomsmen were uneven with the additional "friends" that his parents had hired to fill out your half of the wedding party.

Not that Yoongi hadn't wanted him to be part of it; Jin had seen him at his best and worst. The two of them had gone through a lot together. Even now, he was sleeping five minutes away at the small "guest house" on your honeymoon just in case he was needed.

For you to recognize that after not knowing him that long...it was nice, to say the least.

"Speaking of inclusion," he said as you warily sat down across from him at the table, "we have a guest coming in the next day or two."

"Guest?" you repeated. "Didn't you just see everyone you know at the wedding?"

"He was out of town for a business trip. But he wants to bring me his gift and meet my new wife. So I want you to make him feel welcome while he's here."

You glared at Yoongi over your food. This was beyond ridiculous. Sure, all of your friends had the decency to stay away and leave you alone during this time. But his were going to come knocking on your door just because they felt like it. People with money got to do whatever they wanted.

"Fine."

"Great."

You sighed. "As long as we're sharing, you should also know that my parents are putting together a shareholder's meeting sometime after we get back."

"Cool, a bunch of stiffs in suits. I've handled that before, no big deal."

"It is a big deal," you hissed. "You'll have to convince our shareholders you know what you're doing. Which I'm sure you don't."

"Excuse me? I do--"

"Do you even know what we specialize in, Yoongi?"

"Textiles."

You rolled your eyes. "We're a shipping company. I rest my case."

"But you ship textiles, don't you?"

"I'm going to sleep."

You put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and walked off to your room. Yoongi waited until you were gone before stalking off to his own room.

Somehow, he hadn't expected your family to be just as aggravating as his own. He probably should have figured from how coldly you treated him. But you were both in it now, so how were you ever going to make this work?

You woke up the next morning to an insistent knocking on the door. You sprang up, blearily making your way towards the front door.

Who was knocking this early?

"Do you have any idea what time it is?" you grumbled as you opened the door. Your eyes widened as you finally saw the man in front of you.

He was tall, with wavy, dark hair to complement his dark suit. He flashed you a boxy smile.

"You must be the blushing bride." You nodded slowly and he grasped your hand in his for a handshake. "Kim Taehyung. Yoongi was expecting me to drop by."

"Of course. Please, come in," you said as you stepped back to allow him in. He looked around slowly, making his way towards the couch.

You crossed your arms over yourself, trying to hide the fact you were still wearing pajamas. "Sorry for snapping at you. I didn't know you'd be arriving so soon."

"No, it's all right. I'm sorry for getting here so early. I've been out of town on business and I'm still in the wrong time zone mentally." He glanced at you. "Actually, I'm probably lucky you answered the door and not Yoongi."

"Well, I'm sure he's not up yet so make yourself comfortable. Can I get you anything? Breakfast, coffee?"

He sat down on the couch. "That would be great. Thank you."

Yoongi woke up with a start. He glanced around, aware that something was off. He couldn't put his finger on it until he sat up.

He could recognize Tae's deep laughter somewhere nearby. He couldn't quite make it out against the pillow, but now it was clear as day.

He clambered out of bed and threw on some fresh clothes before going to investigate. He followed the sound to your room. When he opened the door, he saw you and Tae through the open balcony door.

You were leaning over the balcony, looking at the mountains surrounding the area. Taehyung was standing next to you, leaning his back against the balcony. He'd discarded his blazer, draping it over your shoulders instead. He leaned down and muttered something and you both laughed.

The sunlight was soft outside, the wind picking up just enough to tousle your hair. The two of you standing there, framed by everything, wearing his clothes...it looked oddly picturesque.

"There you are!" Taehyung exclaimed. "I was worried you were going to sleep the whole morning away."

And the scene shattered just like that.

You turned to look over your shoulder, your smile fading at the sight of him. Taehyung pushed himself off the balcony, moving to embrace his friend. Yoongi shifted his attention to him instead, trying to ignore the way your eyes had hardened the moment they met his.

"Hard to sleep with you laughing like that," Yoongi muttered. Taehyung chuckled in response, grabbing him in a tight hug.

"Admit it, you missed me at the wedding."

"Yeah, yeah. I still think you could have waited for your visit."

"And miss meeting your lovely new wife? Not a chance." He lowered his voice quickly as he added, "Your parents chose well."

Yoongi opened his mouth to retort but Taehyung excused himself to the bathroom.

Now that the two of you were alone, tension quickly permeated the air.

"How long's he been here?" Yoongi asked. You sighed, moving to the doorframe to respond.

"About three hours."

"And you didn't think to wake me up?"

"I did, but you're the one always telling me not to! Why do you think we were eating out here instead of in the kitchen or the dining room?"

Yoongi glanced at the small table and chairs on the balcony near you. Plates, silverware, napkins, and mugs were set up. Obviously for two.

"You cooked for him?"

"Yes."

"And you're wearing his blazer?"

"It's chilly out here."

Yoongi ran a hand through his hair. "You've got to be kidding."

At that moment, the toilet flushed and Tae opened the door. Yoongi glared at him.

"I don't appreciate waking up to this," he hissed. Before either of you could respond, he'd already left and slammed the hallway door behind him.

Tae shook his head. "I'll talk to him, but I'll need my blazer back."

You shrugged the material off your shoulders, handing it back to him. "Thanks for letting me use it."

"Anytime." He hesitated a moment. "I hope you don't think I'm being rude, but I found this on the counter."

He held up your wedding ring between his fingers.

You frowned. "I'd appreciate it if you put that back where you found it."

"But rings were made to be worn. Especially one as beautiful as this." You raised an eyebrow. "Just think about it, okay? Yoongi acts tough but he gets upset easily."

"You're telling me."

He gave you a small smile. "A little gesture like this will go a long way with him, trust me. I'm sure you have enough on your plates already. Especially since you agreed to marry him," he added with a wink.

You accepted the ring from him, wondering why he'd chosen to phrase it that way. You were about to ask but he was already closing your door behind himself.
