Alaska
We were silent as we drove to the pack house. I could tell he was angry. And I wasn't completely sure why.
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked softly.
"No. It's just... I don't like the fact that you can command me like that. It's embarressing for an alpha to submit to anyone else. Even if that someone is his mate." He explained.
"I didn't do it on purpose." I said.
He sighed and his fingers tightened around the steering wheel.
"I know. Which is why I'm taking you to see Mama Laos. She can maybe tell us more about... about what exactly you are." He said.
"Who's Mama Laos?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"She's an elder in our pack. She's extremely wise. She knows a lot about history and she knows everything about our pack." He explained.
"Oh." I said looking out the window.
A few minutes of silence passed and I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Micah?" I asked softly.
"Yes, little one?" he asked.
"Do you think there's something wrong with me?" I asked.
"No. There could never be anything wrong with you, baby. I just know you're not human." He said.
"Well do you have any idea of what I could be?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"None. Nothing I have ever come across has ever possesed the ability to demand submission from a wolf the way you do." He explained. "And your eyes... they glowed when you commanded me."
I gasped and looked at him.
"Glowed? As in... like... headlight?" I asked shocked. He chuckled and nodded. "It was actually pretty beautiful to see." He whispered.
A small smile played on my lips and moments later we reached the house.
"Come with me." He commanded softly and we got out of the car.
The few poeple who were outside stopped what they were doing and slightly bowed their heads as we passed.
"Alpha. Luna." they whispered respectfully.
My eyes went up to Micah in surprise. "Luna?" I asked him as we walked into the huge house.
"That is what you became the moment we laid eyes on each other, Alaska." He said.
I felt a knot in my stomach and frowned. "Don't worry about that now. There's other things we need to worry about at the moment." He said, interupting my thoughts.
I smiled tightly and grabbed his hand making him raise an eyebrow in surprise. He didn't pull away however and just laced our fingers together, soothing my tense mind immidiately.
I have to admit... the mate bond was beginning to intrigue me.
Micah led me up a flight of stairs and down a hallway filled with atleast 6 doors. Then he stopped in front of the last door in the hallway and lightly knocked.
"Come in." A voice said from the other side.
He opened the door and revealed an elderly woman sitting in a rocking chair by the window, looking out onto the lake in front of their house.
"Alpha." She greeted with a wrinkled smile. Her eyes landed on me and she gasped. Her head bowed down and the words she spoke next shocked me. "My queen."
"Mama Laos. I came for information." Micah said.
"I have guessed this much, child." she said and kept her gaze on me.
"About Alaska." He said.
"You mean, your Queen." She corrected.
Micah frowned. "Well.. I guess you could put it that way, but I haven't marked her het." he said.
Wait what? What is marked? How does that work? Was it another mate thingy?
"That's not what I'm talking about, alpha." She said with a small smile.
"Then what are you talking about Mama Laos?" he asked impatiently.
She shook her head slowly and started rocking back and forth in her chair.
"I cannot tell you child. You must wait." she said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Wait for what?" I spoke for the first time.
"For the full moon, child." She answered me carefuly.
"Mama Laos. My mate is in distress. Why can't you tell us?" Micah demanded.
"Telling you would only endanger her, alpha." she said and I felt Micah tense up next to me.
"What are you talking about?" he asked more impatient.
"Alpha Patel... I can't tell you more. She will know what she is by the next full moon." she said.
Micah growled. "Fine!" he snapped rudely and I gave him a dissaproving glare. He glared back at me, which only made me glare harder.
"I'm sorry. Thanks Mama Laos." He mumbled in defeat and pulled us out of the room.
He closed the door behind him and lead me back down the staircase.
Everything was swimming around in my mind. What am I? Was I really not human? And how come all of this started now and not earlier?
"Alaska... there's something I have to tell you... about the full moon." Micah said interrupting my thoughts.
"About me knowing what I am?" I asked.
"No. It's about the mate bond." He said.
"Okay." I sighed. "I'm listening."
"On the night of the full moon the bond is at its strongest. If we're together... it would be almost impossible for me NOT to claim you." he said carefuly, watching my expression.
"Claim? What is that?" I asked.
His eyes hardened and turned the familliar obsidian black colour they usually change into when he was thinking lustfull things.
"It's a type of ritual that completes the bond. After that we will be able to feel each other's emotions and pain. We will be able to hear each other's thoughts. I will always be able to sense where you are." He explained.
I frowned. "Hear my thoughts?" I asked. I wasn't sure that I was comfortable with that.
"It's a lot, I know. But you'll be able to hear mine too." he said. It didn't really make me feel any better, but there wasn't really anything I could do about it.
"And how does one mark his mate?" I asked, feeling a tight knot forming in my core as if I already knew what it was.
He walked closer to me and pressed me against the wall with his body.
My breath hitched in my throat as he leaned down and placed soft kisses on my neck.
"I sink my teeth into you. Giving you the mark of your mate. Every other wolf will know that you're mine." He said in a husky voice.
"And then, I will claim you. Every inch of your body. And you will be mine completely." he said.
I gulped and tried to control the dirty thoughts swimming into my mind as his hand gripped my hips tightly, pressing me into the wall behind me.
"W-will it hurt?" I asked softly, talking about the bite.
"Yes." he whispered making me shiver. I almost moaned loudly as he softly bit down on my neck and then licked the same spot. "But then it will turn into pure exstacy." He growled.
"And if we... don't?" I asked.
He froze and pulled away from me, a hurt look crossing his face.
"You're... You're rejecting me?" he asked with an angry tone.
"No! I was just asking what would happen if we didn't complete the mating thing." I said quickly.
He looked at me with a hard glare. "Do you even realise that I'm in physical pain? The longer it takes for me to claim you the more my wolf feels rejected and if the claiming never happens then we'll die. Do you understand that?!" he asked angrily.
My eyes widened as I looked up at the man towering over me.
"Okay! Just stop!" I said defensively. I didn't know it was that serious. This just changed everything.
"Come. I'll take you home."
