I don't know who needs to hear this, but not all introverts are shy and not all extroverts hate alone time!
I'm definitely more of an extrovert than an introvert. I love having people around me and people give me energy.
Despite that, I still need to spend time alone doing something I like, sometimes. Like I love reading, playing games on my own, etc. Obviously after my alone time I will be telling someone about what I did, but point is, I need time to recharge as well.
I feel like Wattpad authors get this personality correct most of the time, but I have a problem with the introverts.
A few of my friends are introverts and by a few, I mean like more than half of them.
They love their alone time and after a day at class or a day with lots of people, they need to take a step back and just be alone sometimes.
My problem with Wattpad characters come in where every introvert is also shy or don't know how to talk to people.
Maybe the authors base it on their own personalities (because I have introvert friends that are really socially awkward and think I'm out of my mind if I start talking to random people IN OUR CLASS!), but I don't know.
How about a character with this really outgoing personality that always has a crowd hanging on their every word when they tell a story, but then afterwards they take a breather and spend the day alone or they can be extremely tired after a day like that.
Before you say I'm crazy, my best guy friend is like that. Everyone thinks he's an extrovert, but I notice the exhaustion when he has been around people too much or how he just disappears from the conversation.
PS For those that don't know: Most people believe that an extrovert is a person who is friendly and outgoing. While that may be true, that is not the full meaning of extroversion. An extrovert is a person who is energized by being around other people. This is the opposite of an introvert who is energized by being alone.
