Lloyd Pov:

The night sky was dark and gloomy. The gray sky never changes since that day instead it only got darker.

It's been 3 days since Y/n was gone. The team and I didn't do anything special for the 25th yesterday. It didn't feel right that we were celebrating without Y/n.

It was too soon.

Oh who am I kidding!? None of this feels right! This went too fast or pieces of this story were missing… It was as if something else should have happened… but it didn't.

Like something changed fate.

My thoughts quickly went to Y/n but I don't know why. Since her… tragic upcoming- the way she somehow manages to destroy everyone's connections to their elemental powers.

Yes, I mean everyone! It began with my team but it slowly reaches to the other elemental masters. All I know that there's a very few masters that still have their powers, including me.

I don't know if I should take this as a sign that Y/n is still out there, but why would she do this?

A sigh escapes my lips as I cover my face. I sit at the dining room table. The feeling of dread was all I could feel since that day. Not to mention that Master Wu stays in his room all day. It's all becoming too much for me, at least Akita helps with my stress.

My mood shifted at the thought of her. Akita was the only one that I rely on. She has helped me get through this mess.

A smile slowly appears on my face. I take in a deep breath letting my frustration go. However, this was short lived.

The sound of frantic footsteps reach up to my ears. The door slides open loudly. Akita enters looking frantic.

"An earthquake hit Ninjago City and a huge sinkhole form in the center. We believe it had to do with the masked figure."

I stood up from my seat when I heard the masked figure could be behind this.

On the 24th, this masked figure popped out of nowhere. Well, more like reappeared, she wears the same white mask that was stolen earlier this month. Again with the timing, we speculate that it's Y/n, but it brings back the question on, why? Why would she even be doing this?

Either way she's been stealing certain ancient relics and causing earthquakes which will form cracks and sinkholes. We don't know how she is able to do this. What we do know for sure is that the masked figure is planning to summon something.

Zane and Pixal were able to get a bird's eye view of the city. It revealed that the cracks and sinkhole makes a symbol. A symbol that is used to summon… something. We only found this out when Master Wu showed us some scrolls from the First Spinjitzu Master.

However, the scrolls had ink splats all over it. The only readable words were that the symbol was able to break something and that it can summon something. Apparently, the First Spinjitzu Master sealed someone away and that's the key- or doorway for the person to get out.

I walked out of the room and went to the living room. Pixal, Zane, Cole, Jay, Nya, and Kai were there looking at the projected map of the city. I pullout the scroll from my pocket. The symbol was half way done in finishing, it was only missing 7 more cracks and 5 sinkholes.

I put the scroll back in my pocket. A worried look came across my face. The other did the same.

"Is it?" Nya said nervously.

"Yup, the masked figure is behind this. She only needs a few more before it's complete." I said monotony.

"Heh, great, just great !!! Y/n is almost done freeing some horrible monster!" Jay said nervously but panicked at the end.

"We don't know for sure it's really her." Cole said, trying to correct Jay.

"Yeah, but the masked figure is literally wearing Y/n's necklace as a hair piece. Last time I checked, Y/n had her necklace on her." Kai said angrily.

"-But, Y/n was a gray color and this is a dark purple and why would she be doing this? Y/n was kind and would never destroy a whole city." Nya said trying to defend her friend.

"We thought of that about Harumi." I said cutting off everyone.

This made them nervous and on edge. Yet it was true, we believed that Harumi was someone we could trust.

A pang of guilt and sadness hits my heart. Accusing her was the last thing I wanted after all…

She was a good friend.

The feeling of something was missing or messed with came back. Whenever I said or even thought of Y/n being a friend didn't sit right.

I glanced over at Akita who was standing right beside me. That feeling always goes away when I look at her.

I shake my head, throwing those thoughts away. I need to focus on the task on hand.

"Y/n or not, she's a threat to Ninjago and we need to stop her, and now!" I said, determined to end this.

"With what? We don't have our powers." Zane states.

"You might not, but I still have mine. You all will help the people to evacuate. I'll try to find and stop her."

They all look at me now determined to help. Hope fills through me.

"So, what are we waiting for?"

I was on my dragon flying over the destroyed city below me. The continuous earthquakes have brought Ninjago City to its knees. Now that the symbol is almost complete it would be best if we just evacuate the whole city.

Minutes passed with no sight of the masked figure. I only came down in the city when I saw people trapped under the rumble. I just couldn't ignore them on my search, the people always come first.

I continue on until the sun sets. This is where I end my search. As I go back to my friends, I just couldn't help but be curious.

Where was she?

Master Wu Pov:

' She's here...'

I opened my eyes to see a very familiar girl wearing a blank white mask.

"So this is what you choose in the end?"

I ask, staring at her waiting for a reply. A haunting giggle filled my ears. That wretched laugh filled with dark magic. I quickly block the noise to keep me focused on the task on hand.

"After everything, you choose to betray everyone who ever cares for you and walk in the path of evil."

She stops laughing and tilts her head in confusion. The insufferable laugh returned but was getting louder by the second. I covered my ears trying to block the horrid laugh, but it was no use. The girl quickly took a folding fan. The colors once bright and colorful are now tainted in black. She ran towards me to strike a blow as her white mask started to form words.

'Me, betrayed you? How can I, when there was nothing to betray.'

I swiftly dodge her attack. I quickly exited my room and went to the courtyard. However, she was right behind me. I was planning to escape but a loud shriek stops me in my tracks.

I cover my ears and try to block out that horrid sound. I fell forward as she ran into me.

I turn to face her. The mask had a smug face expression on it.

I know deep down this will be it. She raises her fan and swipes the air.

This causes the surrounding air to split at a fast speed. My chest begins to burn as I collapse onto the ground. I see a little pool of blood coming from me. I start to lose consciousness.

Hearing a small laugh coming from her. I glance up to her. The mask now just has a simple smile on it.

She raises her arm to blow the final strike. I stare at her with sad eyes. I had so much hope that she could choose the right path. I didn't stop her or fight back, accepting my fate.

For once in the sunset shines brightly. Coloring the sky with warm colors. Her mask slowly fades back to white. I see her body shake slightly. She tried to swipe her air but her other hand stopped it mid-way.

She tries to step back getting more distances away from each other, but fails as her feet didn't move. Words begin to form on her mask.

'Ru-'

A blast of green energy hits her. Sending across the courtyard. Lloyd's dragon came into my view. He quickly went up to me.

"M-Master Wu?! Hold on, I'll get you out of here, just hold on!!!"

He tried to pick me up but was stopped. She came back and got on Lloyd's back. He throws her off as she lands with a hard thump. My vision slowly blurs.

Lloyd tries to hit her with a blast of energy but she keeps on cutting it in half before it reaches her. My breathing became hoarse and slow.

I barely see, but I could tell she got tired of that and came charging at Lloyd. Trying to get a direct hit on him. He swiftly dodges her attack and sends an energy blast.

This hits her and knocks her down. Lloyd prepares another blast. I cough loudly as it gets harder to breathe. Lloyd stopped in his tracks. He stares at her contemplating his next actions. Lloyd shakes his head and runs up to me.

"Come let's get you out of here before she wakes up."

He summoned his dragon and put me on it. He glances at the unconscious body. Lloyd looked away and got on. This was the last thing I remember before my vision became dark.

??? Pov:

I stare as the Green Ninja and the old man leaves. I stepped out of my hiding spot and went up to the "unconscious" body.

"You did a good job fighting but…"

I pull out a little vial that has a purple-black liquid in it.

"You disappoint me but I should have expected this from you."

I untied the ribbons to take off the mask. She was breathing heavily and her face was scrunch up. I pour in the dark liquid in her mouth and cover her mouth and nose. She moves side to side but she drinks the thick liquid.

"Now I hope you don't disappoint me next time, but either way I got what I came for."

I put the mask back on. Her wavy black hair immediately covers the ribbons. She sits up and stays like that for a few seconds.

"Still fighting it, huh? Can you see sweety-"

I got close to her ear and whispered in a hush tone.

"This is your destiny."

I smirk, happy that I'm finally getting through to her. She has always been a stubborn one just like her mother.

I stand up and pull out to grab a box of tea leaves. I hum at my near victory.

"Now that I have the final piece, victory is ours. Pft- What's with that face of yours?! We're about to win, you should be thrilled!"

I stare at her white blank mask. She stands up and dust herself off. I notice her pendant was getting more black then purple. I let out a sigh knowing I'm running out of time.

"Why don't you hurry up? We are on a strict schedule here!"

Words form on her mask, 'Don't get your panties up in a twist…'

I slap the back of her head out of anger. How dare she talk to me like that?! She raises her hands to the spot where I hit at. Turning to face me as new words appear on the mask.

'Owww, you bitch!'

"Do you want another one? Just so you know I could hit harder."

'...'

'... sorry…'

"That's more like it! Now let's get going, we have a job to do."

Lloyd Pov:

I was sitting in a small tent next to Wu. I was at the the village next to the city since they kindly accept all of the evacuees. However, they could only fit so many people in the village.

Their solution was to set up tents for the people to stay in and this is where I went to. The nurses here immediately helped Wu and gave him his own tent to stay in. Luckily, they manage to bring him in a stable state.

There were many injured during the disaster. However, there most were small-minor injuries and were a few serious injuries. There were plenty of nurses on standby.

I hear the tent open as people get in.

"We got here as soon as we can! What happened?!" I hear Nya said.

"The masked figure played us like idiots. She went to the monastery and tried to kill Master Wu. I made it just in time before she blew the final strike."

"Lloyd, don't do this now." Kai places his hand on my shoulder and turns me around to face him.

"Don't you dare start blaming this on yourself! We need our leader here, we can't do this by ourselves! Nobody can…"

I stare at Kai's brown eyes. I wanted to believe him that it wasn't my fault. That I need to be mentally here. I want to be here.

Soon Cole, Jay, Zane, Nya and Pixal walk up to me standing side by side.

"We have been through worse, things will get better!" Cole said, trying to make me snap out of it.

"If we all work together nothing can stop us!" Jay said, adding on.

"-But we can't do this without our leader!" Zane said joining in.

They smile at the most determined face I have ever seen they make. I smile back feeling their energy.

"Now that's our fearless leader!" Nya said continuing.

"All we ask of you is to believe in us and you." Pixal said with a kind smile.

I look back at Kai, who still has his hand on my shoulder.

"So what'cha say, you in?"

I let out a strain laugh. It was soft and barely above a whisper.

"How can I say no!? We're a team after all!" I said, determined.

3rd pov:

With the team's encouragement, Lloyd was brought back to his determined self. Not losing hope, the light that shines from them was a powerful one. That everyone against them should fear.

How they shine a bright light of hope, the other hand, the people they were up against casts a dark shadow that extinguishes any light. No matter how powerful it is. Sooner or later it gets consumed by the darkness.

This battle will be a fierce one. After all, didn't the Ninjas face a similar darkness and nearly lost. Surely, the battle that will soon come will determine the fate of Ninjago- no the whole realm.

Time passed and the situation became dire. Four days exact, so much happened during that short period of time. The earthquakes continued to plagued Ninjago city, forming cracks and sinkholes throughout the city. No matter how close the Ninjas get to defeat the villains of this story, they were always one step ahead of them.

During one of these fights, the ninja was able to steal a scroll that they had. It just picture the Green Ninja, alone, fighting a dark entity.

This became worse as Lloyd is the only one left still connected with their elemental powers, which makes sense. The Green Ninja is the element of energy. Just like spirit it ties everything together and keeps things balanced. One can't live without the other.

It was now the 31st of December and where this story ends. The fate of this realm was destroyed and now reshaped to fit the needs for the villains.

Maybe it will end here or…

Maybe…

Just maybe…

A new story will be born from this tragedy.
