Jackson's POV
Oh no.
Did I say something wrong.
She's just staring at me.
Is it what I said?
I thought we were far enough into our relationship to say this.
God, I don't want to lose her.
I need her.
She's so important to me.
Please help me.
She just stares at me, her wide eyes blinking slowly.
"Annie?" I ask.
She directs her attention and stares right into my eyes. I feel like she's penetrating my heart.
"Yes, Jackson," she replies. My name sounds so perfect when she says it.
I'm falling. Hard. And it's bad. I wouldn't do this to myself again. Not like the last time.
"Will you please say something?" I ask, hoping she won't break me like my ex did.
Her name was Hannah.
She was amazing and I loved her. Loved. But she broke my heart. And then she disappeared.
I haven't see her for five years. Sometimes I miss her.
But I love Annie way much more.
She holds a blank expression on her face and my racing hearts slows to a walking pace.
"I.....I" she stutters.
"Please say it. I need you to say it," I said, holding her closer.
"I....". She pulls away and looks at me once again. Then she stands up.
"I don't love you," she cries, and runs out the door.
I'm left sitting on the bathroom floor.
I don't say anything. I don't move. All I can do is think.
I think a lot.
And I breakdown.
Slowly.
