Mikasa’s POV
*ROAAR* the anger-issued titan roared, enough to notice that he was in pain.
“Eren!” I yelled, not thinking twice to quickly maneuver my gear towards the 15meter-tall titan. But before I could, “Mikasa, wait!” (F/N) stopped me, grabbing my arm in order for me to listen to her. “You can’t just go there like that. Do you even think that he’ll listen to you in his case?’’ she asked with her (E/C)-eyes narrowed. ‘I know that she’s worried, but I can’t just do nothing, right?’ I Quickly pulled my arm away from her hands and went after the titan-boy. “Mikasa!” she yells, but I still chose to go after him. ‘Eren, wait for me.’
(F/N)’s POV
“Damn you, Mikasa.” I muttered, looking at the girl who was maneuvering as fast as she can towards the emerald-eyed titan-shifter, her figure slowly disappearing in a distance as she gets farther away from here. ‘From the very beginning, when the three of us met, I could already tell that Mikasa has feelings for her little brother. It’s not impossible since Eren saved her life a long time ago. He Even gave her a scarf to keep her warm. And Mikasa still wears the said scarf until now. I admit- their story is quite cute. But haven’t she learnt anything from that scratch on her cheek?’ I said to myself with a sigh. “I guess I’ll have to go after her”
~(OeO)~Meanwhile--Earlier that day~(OeO)~
*Crack*
The sound of my white tea-cup’s handle breaking before I could even take a sip of my newly brewed tea. Strange, I held it like I usually do but oddly, it still broke. ‘That couldn’t be a good sign.’ I glared at the handle that was lying comfortably on my table. Slowly, I reached my hand to the broken piece for me to continue with my morning tea. I then picked it up to examine the broken figure closely ‘It’s a shame, this was a brand new tea-set I bought, too’ I sighed. ‘It isn’t that cracked so I suppose I can just glue this later.’ putting the broken handle back on my table, I took a sip on my handle-less cup and couldn’t help but wonder; how (F/N) is doing right now.
“LEVI! OPEN UP RIGHT NOW!!!” an annoying voice yelled, accompanied by three violent knocks on my door. It didn’t take me a while to guess that Hanji was the one behind it. That sh*tty-glasses, always up to something. And it also didn’t take long for her to completely barge through my door without my bloody permission. “The hell do you want? “ I sighed, placing my cup on the table as I stare at her fierce-fully with my dark-charcoal eyes narrowed. “Make it quick, I’m busy” I stated coldly, crossing my arms.
The titan-maniac reached for her bag and took a book with an olive-green cover “I finally finished it~!” she said with a glee, handing me the book and by the looks of her face; smiling like a total fool, I could obviously tell that ‘this wouldn’t be good.’ “Well?” she says, still showing that creepy smile as she slowly waves the book, gesturing me to take it. I couldn’t help but cringe at her actions.“What is this, anyway?” I asked, surprisingly I was curious enough to question.
“It’s my new romance novel~!” She proclaimed. “Armin was supposed to be the one to read this first, but he has training today, and Commander Eye-brows has some ‘paper work’ to do- whatever that meant. And since it’s your day-off today, I thought that you’d be the perfect person to critic my art of literature!” ‘Art of literature? Romance novel? This is another tactic of her to annoy me, isn’t it? I knew that broken handle wasn't a good sign.’
“No” I refused. Obviously.
“Aw c’mon, Levi!!! Please!!!” the titan-maniac begged. “It would be fun!”
Fun? The hell do you know about fun? “Do you actually think that I’d be the kind of person who enjoys reading romance?” I asked. Tapping my fingers on the table, “I swear, I’m already getting pissed just because of you making me read that book. What the F*ck do you think will happen if I actually read it?!”
“Please?!! What about a trade?”
“No”
“c’mon!!!” She whines, “I’ll… umm” she cuts her sentence, hoping to find something in her mind interesting enough for me to accept. And when she snapped her fingers together, she finally spoke . “I’ll give you the finest mop I saw in wall Sina today~! In exchange, you’ll have to read my book!”
Nice try, but “No, I don’t use just any kind of sh*tty-cleaning-equipment” I quickly replied, crossing my arms.
“umm… how about some fresh organic tea?” she continues
But still, my answer is a cold “No”
“Then… Then…” she thinks again ‘quick, Hanji, think of something... It needs to be something that even that short-stack won’t dare to refuse’ and when she finally thought of the perfect words to say, she exclaimed: “I’ll give you a piece of (F/N)’s underwear!”
My eyes widened, thinking about what she just said in front of me. Feeling my eye twitch with a sweat drop, rolling down my face, I answered“…I-I’m no maniac either.”, turning around, pretending to adjust my cravat.
“Darn, I thought you’d actually fall for it.” The brunette mumbled, While my sight was away from her.
I already felt my heart race with my face burning up, just thinking about (F/N). But at the same time, I couldn’t help but feel worried about her. I wonder why.
*ROAAAR*But my thoughts were interrupted when all of a sudden; a loud roar was heard across town, not far from here.
“What the heck was that!!?” Hanji says, rushing towards the window to search where the noise was coming from. ‘That roar was pretty loud. It couldn’t be from an ordinary animal. There aren't even any titans in sight, too. But the loud noise still continued accompanied by sounds of crashing concrete coming from town, judging by the noise, I think it was coming from a titan-shifter’. “Eren?!”
(Meanwhile… again…)
(F/N)’s POV
I went after Mikasa and saw her about to maneuver herself onto Eren’s ears. What was she thinking?? That didn’t work the first time she did that, but she still feels the need to repeat her mistake once again? The raven-haired girl went closer to Eren’s Ears, trying to say something- in hopes that the titan would come to his senses and turn back to normal. But obviously, this plan will only lead to a dreadful failure.
Mikasa’s POV
I went close to the titan-shifter’s ears hoping for him to hear me. “Eren! Stop this! Now!” I yelled. But he still wouldn’t stop crushing buildings in sight. I grab hold of his ear and made my grip tight, in order for me to stay on his shoulders “Eren, turn back to normal! Please!” I begged, but he still wouldn’t listen, he just roared in return and tried to shake me off him. But I kept my grip and continued “come on, Eren! Wake up!!!!” I yelled once again, but the titan-shifter roared in return and swung his fist right in front of me. I couldn’t dodge his attack in time so all I did was close my eyes shut; not knowing what would happen. I could’ve sworn I was dead- right on the spot, but, before the attack came, I heard a familiar voice, screaming my name “Mikasa!!!” I then felt someone push me off; luckily I landed onto a near building, enough for me to survive the fall. But when I opened my eyes…
“N-No… ” I saw (F/N), lying on the ground, not moving an inch. I maneuvered towards her and took a closer look. I flipped her around and examined her injuries. “No… This can’t be” Tears were beginning to fall...
“(F/N)!!!” a manly voice yelled. I then felt guilt, realizing that that sound came from the man (F/N) loves with all her heart. “L-Levi?” I muttered, looking at my cousin and a girl with glasses with him, running as fast as they can towards us.
Levi’s POV
I saw Mikasa with a person lying down on her lap, ‘what happened?’ But as we got closer and closer, I realized that that person with (H/C)-colored hair was none other than “(F/N)!!!” I then went faster towards them.
But when I saw her sweet innocent face, now stained with red-blood, gushing out of her head; my vision started to darken, focusing my sight to the titan-shifter who did this to her.
Hanji’s POV
I placed my fingers on (F/N)’s pulses to see if she’s still alive. I then realized, Levi, with tears rolling out of his silver-grey eyes. It was the first time I ever saw him like this; crying in front of a loved one. In the past, he never sheds a single tear if someone died in front of him. No matter how important a person to his life meant. But this was different.
The small-man grabs his swords and quickly approached the titan, firing the hook of his 3DMG on the titan’s neck and maneuvered towards it. And with his swords, he quickly cuts the titan’s nape, deep enough to see the titan-shifter inside it. When he saw the boy inside, The short man took his swords and pierced them through the titan-shifters back with absolute anger on his eyes as blood gushes through the shifter’s flesh. He then slowly pulls the two blades downward as shrieks of pain were followed by the titan-boy.
It was indeed painful to watch; for me, and also, for the titan-boy’s sister herself, Mikasa, and by the looks her face filled with tears and regret, I could tell that she was still shocked of what had happened to her dear friend, (F/N) and what was happening right in front of her very own eyes.
And when everything was all over, the small man jumped off the titan’s neck before it could evaporate and vanish into the warm atmosphere. Eren, is practically torn apart because of the force Levi used to thrust his sword into his body, but otherwise, he’s fine, he’ll recover immediately with the help of his powers. But (F/N), on the other hand… is not doing so well.
“is…she… still alive?” The small-man asked. I could'nt say a word, tears begining to fog my vission. I took a deep breath and told the man the horrible truth:
“She’s gone”
Levi’s POV
When I heard those words come out of Hanji’s mouth, tears kept falling from my narrow eyes. I took a glance at the girl who I loved my entire life, and carefully brushed my fingers through her soft-silky hair.
I wanted to be with her a little more longer, hug her tighter than our last hugs, and kiss her more passionately than our last kisses. I didn't want her life to end that f*king fast.
“Hey, (F/N)?”
“Yes?”
“Let’s get married someday”
"Yes~!"
The one I was trying to protect with everything I have...
Was...Gone....
