Neyonika nodded and soon Manik came with both his sisters. Both the girls made him sit on his seat and Neyonika came ahead. Four ladies were holding fulkari dupatta on his head. She took some haldi and put it on his cheeks and arm.

Neyonika- nazar na lge mere bache ko. Sda (hamesha) khush raho...
She pecked his forehead creasing his hair and he smiled. All the elders put haldi on his and blessed him. Next Mukti came and put haldi little by little on his cheeks, arms, forehead, nose and giggled. Manik too put some haldi on her nose. She made an irritated face but then hugged him.
Mukti- I'm so happy for you bhai.
Cabir- eeee Mukti. ... chal htt ab piche, humme bhe haldi lgane hai.
Ranveer- aur kya. Bhai ko gherke beth gae hai.
Mukti- nae hat ti bolo kya kroge?? Huh baare aae haldi lgane vaale...
Ranveer- bunny dimag mt kha aur piche ht...
Mukti- bhai dekho na....
Before Manik could say Cabir spoke
Cabir- usse kya kehre hai. Vo toh khud chahta hai ke tu piche hojae.
She looked at Manik who nodded his head in a no. She grinned and turned to Cabir and Ranveer.
Jaya- hey bhagvaan bacho baad mein jhagarlena, abhi haldi ke rasam toh kro...
They nodded and next Alya, Navya too applied haldi on Manik. Cabir and Ranveer smirked seeing each other. They applied haldi on him and then emptied the whole bowl on him.
Manik- saale Cabir tere toh....
And he ran behind him. The haldi function changed to a holi party.
Neyonika- ab bs bhe kro bacho. Jao jaakr sb fresh hojao humme Nandu ke vaha bhe jaana hai.
They nodded and left. Neyonika then turned to Manik and spoke
Neyonika- Mannu apne uppr se thodi se haldi utarkr iss vessel mein daalde.
Manik- vo kyu mom???
Jaya- kyunki beta tere utri hue haldi Nandu ko lgegi. Kehte hai dulhan ka rang nikharta hai isse...
Manik made an ohh face and removing some haldi put it in the vessel. He too then went to freshen up. He came back and saw everyone ready to leave.
Manik- aap sb kahi jaarae ho???
Cabir- haa jese tujhe toh pta he nae hai hum kaha jaarae hai...
Cabir mocked him. Manik passed him a look and then turned to the ladies.
Jaya- beta hum Nandu ke vaha haldi lekr jaarae hai.
Manik made an ohh face and then went to Neyonika. He back hugged her and tried coaxing her
Manik- mom....
Neyonika- hmm..
Manik- mom meine suna hai agar dulhan ko sbse pehle haldi dulha lgae toh shubh hota hai. Mujhe bhe leke jao na please....
He spoke like a child. Neyonika slapped his shoulder and spoke
Neyonika- bilkul bhe nae...
Manik- mom please na....
Neyonika- don't behave like a love sick puppy Mannu...
He pouted and she nodded her head in disbelief.
Anurag- kya hua???
Neyonika- apne bete se puchea.
Anurag looked at Manik who nodding his head in a no went to his room.
Jaya- isse kya hua???
Neyonika- kuch nae.... bs saath lejaane se mnah krdiya toh muh phulake beth jaega ab.
Jaya and Neyonika laughed on this statement. Anurag followed Manik to his room.
Anurag- arre tu kya muh phulakr betha hai yaha... chal uth haldi nae lgake aani apni dulhan ko???
Manik- dekha nae aapne... mom ne mnah krdiya totally. .. ab toh no chance...
Anurag- puttar ji... we are malhotras. Jo chahea so chahea.... vese ek gl dssa (btau) mein tere maa nu (ko) sb toon (se) choori haldi laake(lgake) aaya se (tha) mein.
Saying this he left a thinking Manik behind.

Nandini was sitting in her room, when there was a knock on the door. She opened the door to see a room service boy standing there.
Nandini- yes...
He said nothing but pushing her a little entered and locked the door.
Nandini- excuse me ... what are you doing??? Listen get out or I'll shout.
She was about to shout when the boy palmed her mouth and removed his cap. Nandini was shocked to see the person.
Person- pagl ho kya???
She freed herself from his hold and spoke
Nandini- Manik aap yaha kya krrae hai????
Manik- haldi lgane aaya hu apne bride ko...
Nandini- Manik agar kisi ne delhlia na toh musibat hojaegi. Aap... aap jaea...
Manik- arre ese kese jaea. Itnay papr belne ke baad yaha pohoncha hu, bina kaam poora kia nae jaunga.
He took out the haldi which he bought with him and applied it on her cheek and kissed her forehead.
Manik- kl iss time tk you'll officially be mine.
They had a eye lock which was broken by another knock on the door. This broke their trance and Nandini asked
Nandini- k...k... kon... kon???
Person- it's me Navya...
A naughty idea popped in his mind and he smirked. As she was facing her back to him, Manik back hugged her and slid his hands inside her duppata tracing her bare waist. Nandini shivered due to his sweet tortures. His lips landed on her neck and he was softly kissing her making it difficult for her to talk.
Nandini- haa....Nav.. Navya bolo..k.. kya hua...
Navya- Nandu tu thiik hai na??? Darvaza khol humme andr aane de..
Suddenly Manik bit her and she hissed
Nandini- Navya.... tum... niche jao... mein.... aati.... hu.... need to.... get.... fresh...
Navya- thiik hai jldi aana..
Nandini- okk...
As soon as she finished, Manik turned her and placed his lips on her. He pushed her to the nearest wall and hovered over her. He bit her lower lip earning a soft moan from him. She parted her lips and taking a chance, he slipped his tongue inside her mouth tasting and savouring each and every corner of her mouth. Breathless, he broke the kiss but his lips travelled down from her jaw to shoulder slidding down the brouse of her choli a little. He left trails of kisses on her shoulder while her hands travelled to his hair pulling him more into her.
Nandini- Ma... Manik. ... we need.... to .... stop.
She spoke with much difficulty drowned in the pool of passion. Kissing her forehead he spoke
Manik- a day more and I'll get the lisence.
Nandini blushed and looked down amd Manik smirked.
Manik- go clean yourself and wait for me tomorrow.
Kissing her cheek,he left. Nandini too went to the washroom to clean herself. She came out wiping her face when there was another knock on the door. She opened the door and Navya and Shreya barked inn...
Navya- nandu itni deer. Niche wait krrae hai sb....
Nandini- I'm sorry... chalo I'm ready..
She was about to move when Shreya spoke
Shreya- pehle haldi toh ache se saaf krle...
Nandini let out a nervous laugh and spoke
Nandini- yeh aap kya bolrae hai bhabi... haldi kaha se aaegi, vo toh lgne hai abhi...
Shreya- well shubh aarambh toh koe krgya.
She pointed towards her waist, which was visible from her dupatta. Nandini saw traces of haldi and then she remembered Manik had applied haldi on her waist when they kissing. She was so lost in the passion to even think or feel what was happening around. She blushed and immediately ran to the washroom to clean herself. Shreya and Navya laughed seeing her. With lots of teasing the three descended down. Making her sit at her place, Neyonika came ahead and put haldi on her.
Neyonika- khoob khush raho aur khoob tarakke kro...
She smiled and hugged her. It was an emotional moment for her when Ram and Karan came ahead to apply haldi on her. She even shed a few tears realising she will leave them soon.
(Tried to describe a family's feelings as their daughter will leave them soon. Don't take it as lovers).

Nandini was sitting with closed eyes whereas Karan, Abhimanyu, Cabir and Dhruv we're making her wear the Choora which was placed in milk.
Later the girls came forward and tied the kaliras with her Choora. Sadhna then tied a white handkerchief on both her arms so that she could not see her choora. Nandini opened her eyes and smiled looking at her wrists which were now adored with choora and kaliras.
Mukti- mom bhabi yeh choora aur kalire kb tk pehnengi???
Jaya- beta kalire toh kl shaadi ke baad utarjaengi pr yeh choora shaadi ke ek saal baad yaane ke 1st anniversary pr utrega. Pr agar Nandu aur Manik humme usse pehle he khush khabri dete hai toh yeh tb utrega. (Hummare yaha it's believed).
On this statement of Jaya, the younger clan hooted loudly making Nandini blush.
Shreya- awww.... bs bhe kro. Look at her, poori tomato hogae hai vo aur Manik bhe nae hai teasing share krne ke lia.
Alya- bhabi Manik ko ek call kro, vo doora aaega. Afterall he always finds way to stick around Nandini.
Everyone laughed again and Nandini was finding places to hide her face. Neyonika moved forward and hugged her.
Neyonika- ab bs kro. Mere bachi ko pareshaan mt kro tumlog. Agar mere bete ko pta chal gya na ke uski absence mein tum sb uski biwi ko sheed rahe ho toh tumsb ke class lgjaegi.
She laughed along with others.
Nandini- neyoma aap bhe...
She winced and suddenly Navya started singing and went towards the centre. She was joined by Cabir and soon by Shreya, Alya, Dhruv, Mukti, Abhimanyu and finally Karan too. They all we're dancing and teasing Nandini. Even the elders too joined them dancing crazily. The lyrics totally suited the teasing. Nandini hid her face in her palms and everyone laughed seeing her. At the end Cabir lied down on the floor doing Nagin dance. The songs ended and the girls hugged Nandini tight who was sitting at her place with flushed cheeks and laughed.

Karan came ahead and picked her up. Offcourse the possessive father mode was on.
Karan- baby abhi apki marriage ko bohot time hai. Aap papa ke pass khade ho and you are so small abhi.
Aashi struggled in his arms and spoke
Aashi- nae papa Aashi ko niche utalo (utaro). Aashi ko bhe bethna hai.
Sadhna took her from Karan and put her down. She ran and sat in Mukti's lap making Mukti smile.
Sadhna- vo toh bachi hai aur tu bhe bacha bnja uske saath.
She scolded Karan and he pouted. Nandini shook her hands and the kalira fell on one of her cousin.

Cabir- kya bore hora hai yrr. Manik sirf tere chakkr mein stripers nae bulae nae toh party mein je jaan aajati.
Abhimanyu- mein abhi Navya ko bolta hu, vo tere je jaan ache se laegi.
Everyone laughed his statement and Cabir made a whatever face.
Ranveer- pr seriously party boring horae hai. Let's do something hatke...
Cabir- chalo koe toh iss nacheez ke dya bhavna samajhta hai.
He spoke dramtically.
Everyone- shut up Cabir!!!
Dhruv- let's compete. Dekhte hai who drinks the max shots...
Abhimanyu- I'm in....
Karan- pagl ho kya??? Subha ko hangover hojaega aur toh biwiyo se sunna pdega vo alag.
Manik- even I agree. ..
Ranveer- bhai kuch nae hoga, chill!!!
And the four boys started drinking. They even pulled Karan and Manik. But soon Karan and Manik backed out as somebody had to be sober.
Four of them we're fully drunk and went to the dance floor. Manik and Karan we're watching them helpless.
They we're dancing with random girls as there we're many people in the pub. They even pulled Manik and Karan. Manik and Karan after dancing came back and sat on the stools.
Manik- Karan, I think we should leave. It's already 1, subha ko hangover toh pkka hai in charo ka.
Karan- I agree. Chal let's pull them out.
With much difficulty both of them made the boys sit in their respective cars. Bidding bye they left to their respective hotels.

The Kangana Bandana ceremony was over and everyone had retired to their rooms to get ready. Ranveer was running behind Neyonika trying to manofy her and Dhruv behind Alya.
Ranveer- mom sorry na. Vo glti se zada pii li thi. Cabir bhai ne force kiya tha.
Dhruv- baby sorry na please. I promise I'll never get drunk ever again. Even I agree yeh Cabir ka he plan tha.
Cabir- ooe mujhe bich mein mt ghasito. Mere vli bhe nae maani abhi tk aur tumlog aur phasa rae ho.
Alya- tum dono bache ho kya jo Cabir ne bola aur tum dono maan gae....
Neyonika- meine strictly bola tha ke koe bhe apni limits se zada nae piaga. Aur mein Alya ke baat se sehmat hu. Bache nae ho tum dono. Veer tu bohot bigar gya hai. Din-b-din harkate bigarti jaarae hai tere.
Manik was silently laughing seeing them. Dhruv and Ranveer made crying face seeing him. Controlling himself he went to Neyonika and Alya and side hugged them both and spoke
Manik- mom, Alya leave them both na. Jo hogya so hogya. They both are genuinely sorry. Ab maaf bhe krdo. Come on aaj mere shaadi hai.
Neyonika- yeh... yeh... .bs yeh tere vjah se se bigarraha hai. Tune he choot de rakhi hai isse.
Ranveer- sorry na mumma. I promise I'll never exceed my limits.
He spoke holding his ears. Manik kissed her cheek and made a please face. Neyonika sighed and spoke
Neyonika- acha thiik hai, kiya maaf!!! Pr agar yeh dubara hua na...
Before she could complete, Ranveer hugged her and spoke
Ranveer- arre mom promise.... dubara nae hoga, pkka...
Neyonika- veer saans lene de mujhe.
He left her and muttered a sorry.
Neyonika- Alya beta krde maaf.
Alya- aap aur Manik itna kehrae ho islia krrae hu. Agar next time hua na toh dekhna...
She spoke pointing her finger at Dhruv.
Dhruv- baby mein aage se drink krne se pehle 100 baar sochunga.
Everyone laughed at his statement and went to their respective rooms to get ready.

Sehra and Kalgi(leaf like thing) for his pagri.
Later Manik all ready in his wedding attire was standing in front of the family deities and a small puja was being performed by the priest. Puja of a pink colored turban or headgear called sehra was being done by the priest and as it was to be tied by the senior most member of the family, on Harsh's insistance, Anurag wrapped it around Manik's head. The sehra has strings hanging down which was partially covering Manik's face. After a little photoshoot a group of dancer ladies and gents came ahead and started dancing. All the girls and boys to joined in between. At the end the whole family danced including Manik and then went outside.
(I insist you all to watch this video. It will give the exact idea).
Outside the band vaalas and the ghori was waiting for the groom. As they came out the band vaalas started playing their instuments. The Ghodi was beautifully decked up. Mukti, Alya and other female cousins of Manik fed the ghori and also gave water to drink. This is known as ghodi sajana.
Then Navya and Alya i.e. sister-in-law of the groom puts surma, a black powdery item, in Manik's eyes in order to ward off any sort of evil presence from his life as well as to make his journey safe.

Karan and Abhimanyu too entered and we're amazed to see Nandini.

From behind Shushant and Ram too entered.
Shushant- kya hora hai bhai.
Nandini- bade papa dekho na yeh dono mujhe pareshaan krrae hai.
She went to him and complained like a child. He hugged her and kissed her forehead.
Shushant- bohot pyaari lgrae hai mere bachi.
She smiled brightly and hugged him.
Ram- pr hua kya????
Nandini- they are teasing me papa.
Aashi went to Ram and spoke
Aashi- haa dadu. Papa aul (aur) mamu na boo(bua) ko boot (bohot) tang klle(krrae) hai. Mamu na boo ko chulail chulail (chudail) kele (kehre) thay aur papa na boo (bua)ko pechaan ne(nae) le (rae).
All the family members smiled at her cuteness. Ram picked her up and taking her in his arms spoke
Ram- haa!!!! Esa kiya papa aur mamu ne.
Aashi bobbed her head in a yes.
Shushant- phir hum papa aur mamu ko punishment denge aapke bua ko pareshaan krne ke lia okk...
Aashi clapped her hand and nodded excitedly.
Aashi- mumma Aashi ko pulisment (punishment) dete hai toh mamu haste hai. Aaj mamu ko pulisment(punishment) milegi.
Abhimanyu- you little devil....
He moved towards her and Aashi hid herself in Ram's arms.
Aashi- dadu bachao...
Ram- Abhi khabar daar agar mere guriya ko pareshaan kiya toh. ...

Nandini- rehne do bade papa. Mein chali jaungina thodi deer mein phir inlog ko pta chalega.
Everyone became sad hearing her. Nandini hid her face in Shushant's chest as she was also getting emotional.
Karan- kiddo we are sorry. Hum toh bs mzaak krrae thay. Ooe sorry bol (he smacked Abhi's head).
Abhimanyu- kya yrr chudail tu toh serious hogae.
She glared at him and he chuckling made a sorry face.
Abhimanyu- humlog tujhe bohot miss karenge. Ab mujhe naya bakra dhundna padega tease krne ko, tu toh chali jaegi(he spoke sadly). Idhr aa
He opened his arms and she smiling went to him. He hugged her and pulled Karan along. They moments we're broken by the sound of band baja.
Sadhna- loo baraat bhe aagae. Chalo sb niche. Shreya beta chal aarti ke teyaari bhe krne hai. Aur aap sb bhe chalea.
Nandini sat on the bed. Her heartrate increased and she started shivering.
Nandini's POV
Relax Nandu. Why being so nervous.... jis pal ka you we're waiting since long ab vo aagya toh tu drrae hai. Thodi na koe aur hai... he's your mani... shant hoja.... breathe in.... breathe out.

Manik got off the horse and moved ahead with his procession in tow. They were welcomed at the entrance by the family members of Nandini. Navya had already come to the bride's side when the baraat had entered.
Punjabis are loquacious and love making new acquaintances. They are generally very warm too. So when the two groups meet, a lot of love and warmth is exuded and exchanged. It is common for the relatives from both sides to hug each other and also shake hands. This ritual is called agwaani.
The groom is specially welcomed by the mother of the bride in a traditional Indian welcome which includes aarti, that is worshiping him with a lighted lamp and is led inside. Each of his relative meets and is greeted by the corresponding relative from the side of the bride. This means that the maternal uncle of the groom meets the maternal uncle of the bride, the paternal uncles from both sides converge and so on and so forth. This coming together is observed as milni.

Like the both the set of people met and Sadhna did Manik's aarti. Manik was about to take the scissors from the thaal when Navya pulled it back.
Navya- itni bhe kha jaldi hai jijaji.
Manik- what??? Seriously jijaji!!! Navya you toh we're from my side. I mean come on tum mere bhabi ko yrr..
Navya- haa hu toh sahi, pr uske saath saath tumhare saali bhe hu. Meine vaha bhabi ke sb rituals nibha diya. Ab mein tumhare saali yaane ke Nandu ke behen hu.
Shreya- ab damadji agar aapko entry chahea toh jldi se 50,000 yaha rakhdo.
Ranveer- aur agar nae rakha toh???
Ishani- toh khare rahea bahar.
Ishani one of Nandini's cousin spoke.
Cabir- Manik inki baat bilkul mt manna. Itni baari amount hai!!!
Navya- tum chup raho. Yeh hakk hai humara.
Cabir- arre ese kese chup raho. Tumlog ne toh loot machae hai.
Dhruv- buddy tu jhukiyo mt. Humsb tere saath hai.
Karan- hum bhe larki vaale hai. Dekhte hai tumlog kese nae jhukte.
He spoke coming forward and placed his arm around Shreya's shoulder while Aashi was in his other arm. Abhimanyu too came forward and took Navya in a side hug.
Abhimanyu- daate raho Navya. Andr nae aane dena.
Ranveer- Abhi bhai mt bhulea hr kutte ka din aata hai.
He smirked.
Abhimanyu- dekhenge bhabi ke devar. Abhi andar kese aaoge yeh socho.
Neyonika- Manik dede beta. Yeh toh inka huk hai.
Manik- aap kehrae hai toh thiik hai.
Manik placed the money in the thaal and spoke
Manik- ab ijazat hai saali sahiba???

She gave the scissors to him and as he cut the ribbon, Cabir, Ranveer and Dhruv popped the party poppers and sprayed the snow spray hooting. The baraat entered and Manik sat on the seat arranged for bride and groom on the stage with the boys surrounding him. The ladies had gone to meet Nandini.
Nandini's room
Neyonika- haiii.... mere bachi kisi ke nazar na lgge.
Alya- sach mein... shingaar ka kya rang chadha hai Nandu.
Mukti- Alya shingaar ka nae bhai ke pyaar ka bolo. Look at her heena kitni dark hogae hai.
Nandini blushed on her statement and the girls continued teasing her till Cabir, Dhruv, Abhimanyu and Karan came to her room to take her down.
Cabir- wow behna you look amazing.
Dhruv- I agree....
Nandini smiled at them and thanked them.
Dhruv- buddy toh aaj gya. Mein toh sochra tha how will he keep his eyes off you.
Nandini blushed and hid her face in her palms.
Cabir- chal Nandu. Vo vaha betha besabr horaha hoga.
Everyone laughed and Nandini had no other work than to blush.
Manik was sitting with Ranveer and Gaurav with his gaze fixed towards the stairs.
Ranveer- bhai sabar rakho yrr. Aajaegi bhabi. Sb gae toh hai unko lene.
Gaurav- seriously yrr tu itna desperate kyu hora hai.
Manik- jb tum dono ke shaadi hogi tb pta chalega.
He again adverted his gaze towards the stairs. Gaurav indulged him in some talks while Ranveer was looking around. His gaze fell on the stairs where Nandini was descending with her four brothers.
Ranveer- bhai dekho bhabi aagae.
Manik and Gaurav followed his gaze towards the stairs where Nandini was standing.
Manik too got up from his seat. He was spell bound by her beauty. She was descending down carefully handling her lehenga.Nandini could feel many gazes on her making her nervous. But in all these she felt an intense gaze on her. As she lifted her thick lashes her orbs met with him. Not able to take the intensity of his brown eyes, she again shifted her gaze on the floor.
As she reached the stage, Manik offered his hand to her. She looked at him and he smiled at her. She smiled back and placed her hand on his. He held her climbing the stage. "You look ethereal, can't keep my eyes off you",he whispered in her ear as she came up. She shyly looked down and soon Shreya bought the garlands. Both took it and stood facing each other. Nandini tried to put garland in his neck when Cabir and Ranveer picked him up. She pouted and Manik smiled seeing her.
Nandini- Manik niche aajaea na...
She spoke slowly but in an audible tone. Everyone laughed hearing her and Manik spoke
Manik- tum uppr aajao Nandini.
Nandini looked at her brothers for help. Abhimanyu and Karan lifted her up and she tried to put mala in his neck but he moved back.
